Finally feeling kicks the past few days! Much less anxiety now and hoping the rest will go away after the anatomy scan in 2 weeks.
In negative symptoms, I have a hemorrhoid. I've only had them after delivery, so this is a new pregnancy symptom for me. Witch hazel? Prep H? What works, ladies?
I thought I was pretty lucky the last 2 weeks since I really didn't have too many symptoms. Well they are baaaack! I puked twice this past week and have felt sick a lot! I've been completely exhausted and my pelvis is in so much pain! If I walk too much, run, stand for long periods of time or sleep in the wrong position I feel like someone punched me in the pelvis!
Positive: Baby is moving like crazy. Mostly flutters but DH and I felt one huge kick last night!
Negative: Leg cramps, back pain, still puking from time to time...
Also, super embarrassing, but my boobs are leaking!! I didn't think this was supposed to happen until the 3rd trimester?? (I went back to last week's symptom thread and saw that other ladies were having the same issue - are you FTMs or STMs?)
Feeling pretty good. Had more energy and less nausea. Until I puked up my breakfast today. Other then that more RLP especially on days I'm more active.
@TattoosandLace kegels and more kegels. I had it a lot with my first and doc said to do kegels.. especially when feeling the lightening crotch
Thanks! Never experienced it with 1&2, and partially think my body was like “wait what?! Here you go! All day every day!”
I don't even know what lightening crotch feels like...how do you know you have it?
I have leg cramps and feeling lots of kicks which is always a great feeling! Back pain starts to kick in at the end of the day but happy to have some energy most days.

It might be a case of "You'll know it when you feel it." It feels like what I would imagine being tased in the vagina feels like.

I have constant Crotch pain. This can not possibly be lightening Crotch bc is it 24/7. Walking makes it worse. Sitting with my legs open makes it worse. It’s awful.
My hair has been falling out in clumps. I know this happens PP very commonly, but I had only ever heard about hair being thicker and falling out less DURING pg (and that was my experience last pg). I mentioned it to my OB during my last appt and he said it wasn't a stand-alone red flag for anything serious, that a minority of women just react to the hormones that way. In light of how much hair I lost pp last pg, I'm a little concerned that I might be bald shortly after this baby is born.
@smorzandoj Check out SPD and see if it matches what you are talking about. Lightning crotch is pretty obvious due to the shocking nervy pain and your description sounds similar to SPD to me.

My phone thinks “Crotch” needs to be capitalized.
I am starting to question lightning crotch now too. For the past three days with no give?? I thought it was lightning crotch, but maybe I should send a chart note to my nurse?

Yea. I don’t know what they can really do. I go back on the 19th so I’m going to try and just deal with it until then.
My Crotch (proper noun now... ha) feels swollen at the end of the day... I feel a lot of pressure... I pushed on it the other day and it felt better... weird...
I also still feel the let down reflex often... as if I'm going to start nursing my baby right now. My doctor said this is normal. I still worry that I'll start leaking milk in the middle of teaching... that would be fun ...
@neener*neener* I've had the swollen crotch off and on too. Super uncomfortable and weird.

So, this was happening to me a couple of weeks ago, @TattoosandLace and @smorzandoj . I went to the Dr. because the shooting pains were so bad that it was hard to walk or sit or do anything. The pain would sometimes be dull and achy, but then every few seconds, or minute or so, the lightning/shooting pain. She said that my uterus and the baby were sitting on my (sorry... tmi alert) colon and rectum, which could cause those types of pains.
In addition, she asked if I was constipated. I didn't *think* I was, but she really stressed how that would make those shooting pains much worse. I was able to eat a ton of fiber and "clear things out" (again, I am SO sorry... this is gross), but that really made a huge difference. The shooting pains went away almost entirely. In the meantime, too, Tylenol did help. She also suggested folding yoga pants way low under the bump, to 'encourage' things to move up a bit. I wore low-folded yoga pants almost 24/7 for a few days, and I'm not exactly sure what solved the problem, but between that and LOTS of fiber, it went away after a couple of days. I hope this might help!
@lucylou214 thanks, girl. I’ll be busting out my LLR leggings tomorrow for my glucose test then. TMI, but I’m sure I’m not constipated. For sure. Foooorrrrrr sure.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have what I'm assuming is vulvar varicosities meaning varicose veins in the crotch. It's swollen and tender there. Also very irritated. Calling Tomorrow to make sure it's not BV or yeast. But it would kill me to walk after a while and I had to lay down. I did buy a brace and it's been AMAZING!!! Also I do epson salt baths at night to help.

ETA: a little extra fiber never hurts though.
Mmm LLR sounds good for tomorrow. But yea def pooping here. And I have no lightening shooting. It’s just literal all the time pain. Like I have been repeatedly kicked in the Crotch by an antelope or something.

Ugh, that sounds super unpleasant, @smorzandoj . I hope the antelope crotch kick pain leaves you asap! @TattoosandLace , you're welcome. I hope you feel better soon!

I almost died of constipation last week. My friend works ER and told me they tell everyone milk of magnesia! It took over night but definitely helped.
TMI but I pretty much feel like someone took a stick and shoved it up my butt and another one up my vagina
I would just wait until my appointment in two weeks, but I have* the glucose test tomorrow and lab is right downstairs from my OB so just dropping the note in the chart thing wouldnt be like dropping in the office “heyyy guys, so about my vagina”
For those with crotch pain. I highly recommend a prenatal chiropractor who specializes in the Webster technique. Not so much for the lightening crotch. But the kind of pain that makes it feel like your pubic bone is pulling apart. I had it really bad with DD and mentioned it to my chiropractor. She fixed it in one visit. It's from your ligaments loosening up with the help of lovely hormones preparing for birth. Yay us.

I’m going to see if I can find one out here in BFE. DH knows I’ve been hurting and till had the balls to wake me up MOTB for sex. Uhm, no, sir! I had to be up three hours earlier than usual for the glucose test today. Gtfoh. Momma wants sleep.

Ah hell no! The only thing positive out of my bedrest is no more sex. I'm to the point where it isn't comfortable anymore.

I don’t ever turn him down. My sex drive was higher than his. I’ve turned him down more this pregnancy than ever before and he is confused. Lol

Opposite problem over here. DH is in a doctoral program for physical therapy and is studying non-stop. He's got tons of exams/quizzes every week and is a stress case, which turns into no sex for me.

Sex is a stress reliever. Tell him it's for his own good.
In our house, Sunday is bang day. Otherwise I just don't have the energy.
