  • @eggplantface  Bang day!  Hahahaha!

  • My sex drive is non existent. Poor DH
Yep. Mine, too. It comes and goes (mostly goes). Although DH is struggling with the whole idea of "the kid's in there." He's going to need to get over that soon.

  • I didn't get the increase sex drive with DD or this pregnancy. During the week, I'm way too tired to even entertain the idea. DH been awesome about knowing it's pretty much a weekend activity anymore.

Headaches are still rearing their ugly face on the regular as well as my right SI joint pain.

DH has no issue with there being a baby or how gross I feel like I am. He thinks me being pregnant is super sexy which only makes it worse.

Same here.  Plus, recently, after "bang day" (still loving that @eggplantface)baby moved higher than normal and felt like LO was in a tight little ball.  SO thought it was hilarious, like they were competing for the same space.  He was imitating what he thought LO would say, "Get that out of here buddy," with little baby fists up.

  • Just got a call from the doctor that I am on pelvic rest for the next month (low placenta). I'm in no mood for it anyway. Even when I want to, I just think about how uncomfortable it is anymore, then I'm good. DH has been dealing with it well. The baby doesn't concern him at all. I'm just too tired and in too much pain for a sex drive.

  • I am so irritable! I feel like I had 6 cups of coffee and pms. I have zero patience. Hoping this leaves soon!
  • I've had painless migraine auras the last two days. I had this with pregnancy number two and then not for my other three so I was hoping it was a one of with that pregnancy. Looks like I'm stuck with them this time too. I'm going to try and get more sleep and drink more water and hope that helps. I can't stand being pretty close to blinds for half an hour each day

I had to sneeze this morning right as I got up and ran half asleep for the bathroom because I knew the second I sneezed my full bladder would leave a puddle.

  • I might die from this heartburn! I have to take zantac twice a day and it woke me out of a dead sleep last night... So far no bacon, pb&j, too many carbs, too much dairy, where does it end? All I know is this baby better have a head full of hair

That's been my struggle too! I am finally eating somewhat normal (but that's with zantac  twice a day).  But I still can't eat tomatoes, onions, or eat too much at once. And sitting at my desk seems to make it worse - I only work twice a week (home with DD the other days) so I've noticed the difference.
This morning I ate too much and drank too much water. I bet over to grab my boots from the closet and at the same moment coughed...I ended up throwing up a little on the floor. That was fun. I've never been someone who threw up easily. Before this pregnancy I hadn't thrown up in 15 years. Now I still puke like once a week- usually related to indigestion but occasionally just random nausea. Although I've probably brought it on myself by testing some different foods as I've started to feel better.

  • Pooping without dying is basically a luxury. I drink my water, eat my fiber, and throw in a daily dose of miralax. I had a c section with DD but I'm pretty sure I'm putting out baby birthing efforts here. I've had to go the milk of magnesia route a few times.

This is extra shitty (pun intended) because I have Diverticulosis and being backed up does no favors to my colon. I'm hoping this is done soon.

THIS! At this point, every food triggers it. It gets so bad it sends me into coughing fits that make me want to puke. I was almost in tears over it tonight and DH’s only words of “sympathy” were, “It’s only going to get worse.” Thanks, dude.
  • @RSaini , yep.  This has been on and off for me, but I'm not in love with this symptom!  Kegals?

@gymmonkey95 , this has been new for me this week.  It's super unpleasant! I hope yours improves soon...
  • @sabriel1, do you have any way to check your blood pressure when it is happening? With my first, I got ocular migraines and it was linked to my blood pressure spiking and putting added pressure on my ocular nerve. I am not sure if yours would be the same as ocular migraines, I do not have experience with it, but blood pressure during pregnancy is no joke. It was just the first thing to come to mind. I hope it is nothing more than an annoyance for you.
  • @lainikins I have no way to check my blood pressure during an episode but in my previous pregnancy where this happened it was not linked to blood pressure so I'm hoping the same this time. I have no other high blood pressure symptoms but I will be bringing it to on Tuesday at my appointment.

@sabriel1 I get regular migraines and ocular migraines.  They usually don't overlap.  But for me the treatment is the same.  Ibuprofen (unless severe, then I move on to the good stuff).  Of course, that's off limits now.  So I have no advice, but plenty of sympathy.  Mine were never related to blood pressure, like @lainikins mentioned, but with all the crazy things we are going through, probably a good idea to check that out.  Maybe go to one of those machines at the pharmacy since I doubt you can time one to coincide with an appointment.

@sabriel1 and @olitwinturbosnprincess, it should be noted that I did already have high blood pressure with my first pregnancy. It caused a lot of swelling in my head an sinuses which caused me to build up fluid in my ears and lose about 50% of my hearing. There was so much pressure already in my head, that when my blood pressure spiked, it was the ocular nerve that was lucky victim. At least that is how it was explained to me. If you do not have the other issues with blood pressure, it is likely not the culprit. I just wanted to bring it up as it took weeks of specialists' appointments to figure it all out for me.

    Edited to fix the tags.
  • I wonder if there is something I could get to check at home, I'll have to research that. Driving to the pharmacy half blind and getting my 4 kids (ages 5 and under) out of the car and waiting while I check it on a machine is guaranteed to raise my blood pressure regardless of if there is really a problem or not haha

There are at home machines. I had to check my blood pressure 2-3 times a day my first pregnancy. I do not remember how much it cost, but I got it at the pharmacy I think. Amazon probably has them, too. I do not think it was a persecution device or anything.

Edited to add that I just did a quick google search and ones like what I had are about $25.

You can get home blood pressure machines.  My mom has one that goes on her wrist, I think.  I'm pretty sure you can get them at the pharmacy (on your own time without 4 kids attached to you!  I'm pretty sure if you would have crazy-high blood pressure just with your LOs with you under any circumstances, like you said!).

Ditto on the no sex drive, ditto to poor DH. Last time it was as soon as I got home from work where I am tired and irritable so that wasn't gonna happen lol. I don't accidentally pee when I sneeze, but it happens when I cough, though. I'm still congested, and fall isn't helping. I'm also still trying to get used to sleeping on my side, which is not the most comfy.

Edited to add.... pretty sure my boobs are finally getting bigger. That or the bump is getting smaller, and I really don't think that's it ha.

It will probably be a thing until you're done and then you just bleed for several weeks in its place. It's normal!

  • @rainafire77 @kbrinks2 I feel better now but wow I hate this part. First the massive amounts of discharge and now this..
  • I have constant Crotch pain. This can not possibly be lightening Crotch bc is it 24/7. Walking makes it worse. Sitting with my legs open makes it worse. It’s awful.

My phone thinks “Crotch” needs to be capitalized.
I'm in the same boat as you. I have what I'm assuming is vulvar varicosities meaning varicose veins in the crotch. It's swollen and tender there. Also very irritated. Calling Tomorrow to make sure it's not BV or yeast. But it would kill me to walk after a while and I had to lay down. I did buy a brace and it's been AMAZING!!! Also I do epson salt baths at night to help.
What brace did you buy? I'm needing some relief from the crotch achiness too!
  • My sex drive is non existent. Poor DH
I was like that with my first and 2nd... this time around my dreams are x-rated and I'm ready to go unless I've been walking a lot and I'm in pain :P

What do they do with the Webster Technique at the chiropractor? I'll mention it to my chiropractor this week. My pain is as you described, the pubic bones coming apart.
  • Update: no migraine today so I'm hoping it was just a fluke. DD and DH both had two days of headaches this week and mine only lasted for two days as well and I feel good again. Hoping it was just a bug and doesn't continue like it did for pregnancy number two.

For me the discharge has tamed down quite a bit in the last two weeks but it usually amps back up for me in third trimester.

  • Went and left a urine sample at my OB’s on Tuesday. DH has me send a note on my chart/online portal about the pelvic pain/pressure. I’m not contracting. I’m not worried about preterm labor. Urine sample came back fine.
Gave me a name of a prenatal chiropractor, some exercises/stretches to do, and suggested more support bands.
