I have no idea, but I know I experienced heartburn for the first time today after having a curry last night and it was horrible. Hope it's not going to be a regular thing now.
Is there anything I can do to keep me from peeing so frickin much. I have seriously peed about 10 times in 2 hours. I know there's nothing that can be done, just wanted to rant LOL.
I know what you mean though, @clovelyone. I wasn't having to go all that much, but now bet I have peed 100 times in the last 2 or 3 days. TBH, I can't actually tell when I have to pee. Or I guess I can, but it's not the typical sensation, so to speak? I just get a little bit more discomfort/pressure than normal and it's relieved by peeing. Hopefully that doesn't mean I have some kind of raging infection or bladder dysfunction...
@elcd458 I feel you. I tend to sneeze-pee just before important work meetings. Especially ones in the tiny conference room, so I can worry about whether I smell like pee to anyone else while trying to sound like a grownup scientist. My favorite. /sarcasm
I have been peeing more, but it's been especially bad when I change positions. Like if I'm sitting down I'm fine, but as soon as I stand up I have to literally run to the bathroom to pee immediately!
I'm one of the lucky few who doesn't have to pee all the time, but when I do it feels like my pee turns to lead... my bladder feels so heavy I worry a little it's going to fall through my legs before I get to the bathroom. Also the snissing and... snoughing? Is definitely an issue for me. I've had a cough that won't fully go away for the last two months, so it's a problem!
Guyysss rotavirus is going around DS's daycare and he had a mild case of it last week and now guess who has it!!!! Wth...so between peeing every 5 seconds and running to the bathroom to avoid "an accident" , I'm spending the whole day in the bathroom!
In my prenatal yoga class we did pelvic floor (a.k.a. kegel) exercises during every single class. Kegels are super duper important: message received. I still try to do them at least once a day, along with squats and shoulder stretches. I would much rather be uncomfortable doing the exercises for a few minutes a day than to worry about peeing my pants...just sayin'.
@ktcakes87 you will need to have it installed by the time you leave the hospital, and they will have a carseat tech inspect the install as well as the seat itself. I think with DD, we installed the base around 36 weeks. You can search for local police or fire departments in your area that have carseat experts on staff who will help you get it sorted. There's also some great videos online . My suggestion us to install the whole thing a few weeks before your EDD, but only leave the base in. That way, if you happen to be in an accident, you only have to replace the base and not the whole thing.
@Skcobb Thank you! So hospitals will have someone that can/will inspect it?! I want to have it in sooner than later, but we do brunch on Sundays and after we install the base we won't be able to drive everyone to brunch anymore. I definitely won't be leaving the car seat in the car though!

All the hospitals in my area require that your install is inspected before you leave, so you should be set! DH always likes to be prepared, so he installed the car seat about 32 weeks and got it checked by the fire dept., then uninstalled it until we were closer to the due date (like I said, around 36ish weeks). Whatever gives you peace of mind!
@ktcakes87 This may just be a NICU thing but where I used to work they actually do a "car seat test" before they let you leave where they have baby in the car seat for a certain amount of time and make sure LO does well with it and doesn't have oxygen issues, etc. So, for that, you'd have the seat inside. Then when it's time to go, DH or whomever brings the car around, and the technician will verify it is installed correctly and provide instruction.
This made me laugh. My problem is, I'll have to pee so randomly and urgently. Like, we'll get in the car, get down our street, and I'm like, "RETURN HOME! NOW! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!" Hubby is like, ".....?"
Getting the seat installed & inspected is on our hospital's 3rd trimester to-do list. I think we get a certificate saying it has passed (the hospital does the inspection by appointment.) It looks like someone bought our seat off our registry, so we'll have it mid-month. I'll get it in and inspected shortly after...one less thing for DH to worry about if baby comes early. Post-partum, I don't want to be waiting around at the hospital for install/inspection. Good idea to leave the base installed & the seat in the house!
I wanted to get it checked, and AAA does it (our FD doesn't), but requires an appointment and when I called at 32 weeks, there was a 3 month wait. So I had experienced parents check it and watched a lot of you tube videos.
We just installed our car seat. (I’m 28 weeks- one less thing to worry about, especially if she comes early) Our local fire department schedules inspection times every weekend. Glad we did it!
@ktcakes87 my hospital did not inspect the car seat. Just made sure we had one. We did however go to our states police inspection center and have it checked and thankfully we did, because it wasn't in properly and it was installed by my firefighter husband. Your local police dept should have someone certified. If not, you can usually call hospital and they can point you in right direction.
And most of the time it's just the tiniest amount, yet u feel like your bladder us gonna burst
see, this is why it pisses me off so much. (welp, totally unintended bad pun there). if i actually HAD TO GO, fine i guess. annoying, but fine. but i have this feeling of urgency and then it's like two drops. i might murder someone.

My hospital does not inspect carseats, but the CHP does free inspections (need an appointment) at several locations in the county and children's hospital will do them for a fee on specific days. I think we're planning on getting the seat bases in the cars around 36 weeks, so I should get on making an appointment for both of our cars with CHP.

Our hospital did not. They checked that we had one, but not the installation. Our local fire house does install and inspection so we had them put it in for us.

@clovelyone I don't think peeing is going to get any better here on out.

Add me to the constant peeing! It's the worst when trying to sleep! I feel like I haven't slept in at least a month due to this!!
And the snissing is a serious problem!!
