As I look through all the baby clothes sales, I've come across some quotes on onesies that make me go
What have you guys found in your shopping or online searching that makes you cringe?

Please don't make me picture the parents having sex. I've also seen "I'm proof my dad does more than just play video games." Ewww.

Ugh to both of those onesies haha. The inappropriate his/her maternity clothes actually bother me more than the baby clothes. Like the his/her shirts with arrows pointing to each other that say something like on the onesies above. I don't have a link, but in real life I remember coming across some that had sperm swimming and said, "She's proof I have great swimmers." First of all, EW, and second of all, very insensitive to people you may come across who are having challenges getting pregnant.
Those onesies are terrible but I have seen the back rub one in real life. I hate onesies with sayings like that. Not quite as cringe worthy but I hate kids/toddler clothes with sayings on them like "ladies man" or "my daddy is single". Yuck

So many people love those shirts too. I can't tell you how many I was gifted for DS1. All of them were re sold or donated. Just no.
Yes, please don't imply my baby boy has sex already. Just gross.

I have to say, I am so turned off by all of this stuff, too. I can't stand those types of onesies/shirts on kids! I'm a preschool teacher, and I have to say, some of the shirts kids come in just make me cringe (and a lot of times, it IS the boys, like @sabriel1 said). I love the classic looks of just plain shirts, stripes, patterns, etc., but the cheesy sayings just don't do it for me.
I saw a "dad" t shirt today that said "real men make girls." Not only is that nonsensical, but if it were reversed everyone would cry sexism. How is ok they other way around? Not to mention belittling men who can't have children naturally at all. I just can't with that shirt. Who wears that?

i think it's ironic that society sexualizes breastfeeding like the women who say, "I don't want my husband to stare at another woman's breast" but shirts like "suck some titties" is okay? Like you can sexualize it for a baby and that's funny? The only quote onesie I had was one that said something about finally getting out.
This is the reason women are still shamed for breastfeeding in public. Boobs are considered sexual so anything related to them is considered sexual, even feeding your child.

I love this thread. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates this kind of onesie!!! They're *everywhere*, too! Totally agree with the comments above re: sexualizing breastfeeding. It's really telling that baby boys are given these onesies more often. I was hyper aware of how people would try to sexualize my daughter early on (calling her a flirt, for example), but it happens to boys, too
Yeah, not a fan of sexualizing the baby or breastfeeding or implying my baby is sexualizing me:

Yes to all of these. DH wants me to buy this shirt that says "I'm smuggling a pumpkin" because he thinks its hilarious. I'm trying to avoid having people comment on my belly and I just feel like thats inviting attention. Some people may love it, though.

I won't lie, I bought one cause I thought it was cute.
I have a bump shirt that says "the pilot did it" that my husband got me. I hate it, but I wear it because he gets excited and finds it hysterical. So I wear it places where I don't care who sees me He, of course, is a pilot. I chalk it up to to a teenage boy sense of humor, and am relieved this is the only time he's ever gotten me or one of our kids anything like it

Hahahah I have the same shirt! Because hubby finds it hilarious. I have not worn it in public.
Ugh I hate all of these so much. Except the smuggling the pumpkin one, lol. I don't even like the poop ones, they're not sexual but it's still gross. My fil got DS a Star Trek themed onsie that said 'I just boldly went' and always wanted to see DS in it but it annoyed me so much.

We luckily didn't get anything too crazy like the above as gifts. The closest one we got had little foxes on it and said something like "I am the product of a foxy couple." Our DD had a fox themed nursery. I thought it was still funny. We also got one that said "The force that awakens you." DH is a HUGE star wars fan.
For me, this time around, I really want a shirt that says "Pregnant AF."
For those of you who don't like sayings or characters on baby clothes, there is a website called primary. They are a little expensive IMO for what you get, but if you are looking for a specific solid color, I think its a great option.
The "don't eat watermelon seeds" bump shirt makes me irrationally angry
My SIL3 used that for her pregnancy announcements. Complete with photos of all of them eating watermelon..? Nephew (SIL2's son) wouldn't eat watermelon afterwards because he didn't want a baby.

I want your confidence. One of these days I'll embrace the bump and stop being so neurotic. Hump day bump day photo in it soon?

I am not a fan of character shirts either… But I would 100% take those over those awful sayings.

I DO love little boy onesies that make them look like they are wearing a tuxedo however.
