I do zero maintenance of my bikini area. The days of waxing and shaving are long gone. My husband says he doesn't mind, so I rock a wild and free style. Zero fucks.
This is kind of a mix of a FFFC and a UO, but those articles demonizing moms who spend time on their phones drive me nuts. You know the ones: there is a child playing at a park, and there three feet away sits a mom missing out on *precious moments* because she is looking at her phone.
Confession: I am that mom plenty of the time. I think that far from it being bad parenting, it's actually good parenting to teach my kids to use their own imaginations and entertain themselves some of the time. There are regularly moments when I'm doing something on my phone (like i'm doing right now), my three year old will come whine at me that she's bored and I tell her without guilt to go find something to do. Because I think it's her job to be able to entertain herself and it's my job to help her develop the skill; it's important for my sanity AND for her development. There are so many articles about the downfalls of helicopter parenting, and yet people still try to shame us into being one from day one.
*obvi, no matter what I ensure my kids are safe, and I am not on my phone all day - I spend lots and lots of time playing with my kids - but sometimes momma needs some me time.

I hate when you are experiencing severe all day "morning" sickness and someone asks "have you tried ginger?" Like I didn't think of that!!!!! Like I didn't try every single natural method there is out there. Are you flipping kidding me?!? Do you think if it worked I would be complaining about how sick I feel?! F.OFF. F OFF SO HARD.
(I don't think that constitutes a FFFC but I really needed to get that off my chest. Thank you.)
@kmalls my bikini area is only immaculate end of third tri, when I know it's going to be examined under bright lights on a weekly basis. Sorry, husband.

I was the opposite. I let myself go third tri cuz I couldn't see or even reach the area. My husband was trying to convince me to groom closer to my DD so that in case I needed a c-section (and I did) they could act faster and not have to shave me. I LAUGHED and said if they wanted to shave me, I would be forever grateful.

My confession: Whenever I see a forgotten ticker, a small part of me (the obviously wrong but weird humor part) wonders if the person has one of those phantom pregnancies. 300 weeks pregnant!!

@bagowater yeah I use some electric razor and can't really see what I'm doing, so I guess by "immaculate" I mean immaculate compared to the rest of the pregnancy and only in my head. I'm sure it actually looks like shit.
@lund, do you have one of those systems to seal a bottle or do you just plan to go out to have a glass? I always want a really good glass since I'm having just one but can't stand the thought of wasting the rest of a really good bottle.

Completely the same here. I don't do anything down there whatsoever.
@bagowater I was also a huge fan of the c-section shave LOL!
FFFC: It's Friday, my kids are in school from 8-2, I should be doing nothing but grad school work, and instead I am about to take a nap!
If anyone offers to throw me one I will 100% have a full-on baby shower, even though this is my second. But, to be fair, I got rid of most of DS's baby stuff after my divorce because I though that was it for me (I still have some that I loaned to my sister and just got back). And this is DH's first so I'm hoping his family will want to throw a shower--which I know is pretty gift-grabby. Flame away.

I have one of the sealer things! I think it works pretty well. Last pregnancy most of my glasses were when we were out or for special occasion but I much prefer to enjoy at home!

Yup! I have a sealer that works really well. Granted nice bottles of wine normally don't last a week at my house, but I'm at least willing to see if the sealer can make the bottle last for a longer period of time. Maybe I'll try it on a lesser quality bottle first!
@ekendall09 one of the Coravin ones? Do you like it? I have a cheapie one but I'll be honest: the only time I need to really worry about a bottle getting stale is during pregnancy/newborn days, the rest of the time I am good about not letting it go to waste. For that reason, I've been hesitant to buy a Coravin system.

I lurk the first tri board for entertainment when it's a slow day here. I really can't believe some of the questions these women have. They have to be trolls, right?
I don't like when certain threads from a certain day keep going on and on days later. I'm like no! It's for that day only! Lol. For some reason it bothers me seeing old ones that keep popping up with new notifications. I'll just click on it to make the notification go away...it like causes me anxiety or something, weird, haha.

So much this. It's making me downright twitchy that yesterday's UO is still going.
@kmalls I get Brazilians every 3 weeks but it is 100% for me and not my H. I feel itchy if I let it go and after going though the pain of having my first Brazilian I don't think I can let it grow out again. I don't think I could ever go through that initial pain again if it got too thick lol
@lindsye Whoever wrote that article clearly didn't grow up in the 80's-90's with a soap opera mom. You best believe I was entertaining myself (board to tears) while my mom watched her General Hospital and Days of our Lives programs every dang day.
@psuxray07 Yes!!! I have contributed time to time commenting on an old daily thread if I wanted to continue the conversation but I'm not going to lie... no offense to whoever started the Wednesday ticker yesterday but it made me kind of twitchy. It's NOT Wednesday anymore! You snooze you lose on your check in LMAO
@lindsye I wish I had that one! Just a cheaper one for now. I hadn't been drinking for personal reasons and fitness competition stuff for basically a couple years so I didn't upgrade during that time.
@JJMNO1616 hilarious, and you're right - my mom didn't watch soaps but she did spend hours chatting to her girlfriends on the phone (about nothing interesting as far as I could, so eavesdropping was not a viable entertainment option). Same me time, different era.

My H would most certainly finish it off lol not a chance it would last.
@saralee797-2 my husband is a red drinker and I prefer white, so while he would probably choke down my bottle rather than let it go bad, he wouldn't appreciate it the way he should.

@lund mine didn't drink wine until I came around and thank godd he converted. Although it did make our trips to the wine and spirits store more expensive. I am already dreaming of a return trip to Napa post baby!
@saralee797-2 my midwestern DH has come a LONG way since meeting me. He went from being a super picky, meat-and-potatoes eater to now eating anything and everything (for example he now loves sashimi). But, the one thing he can't get on board with is wine. He still tries sips of mine to try to develop a taste for it, but so far he only likes moscato and reisling - which I'm not a huge fan of.
@lund not unless it is a dry german reisling!! ugh moscato not for me. That is great that he eats everything now! Can you imagine cooking the same thing all the time? My H's idea of coffee when meeting me was iced milk with a ton of sugar and a splash of coffee... never hot! Now he orders espresso after dinner and I just smile to myself. Ohhh the good old days.

Ha, your DH's previous coffee habit sounds like MH's! He's gotten better and now uses less sugary creamer, but his is still WAY too sweet for me. I'm a dark roast with a splash of whole milk kinda gal.
To the bolded: OMG I would die. Since moving to a small, midwestern town I've encountered the biggest collection of men who literally eat like 5 things and it drives me absolutely nuts - even though it's not me who has to deal with it. I have a handful of staple recipes, but otherwise I'm experimenting with new or tweaked recipes about 80% of the time and MH never complains.

I couldn't disagree more. I'd hate to cut off a conversation just because the clock strikes midnight--it's not Cinderella's pumpkin! Besides, this board would be incredibly dull if there were only 1-2 threads/day to comment on.

Yeah but I feel like there are several new threads a day. Some of them aren't even conversations, just random statements or answering questions. I hate when they get mixed up with new ones because I easily miss the newer ones. Like apparently someone just said a Wednesday Ticker was posted yesterday, and I still haven't even noticed it (I was looking for it because I finally know that's my ticker change day) and would've checked it out. I still will bc I haven't gotten to participate in one yet, but still. It's moreso in my head like...I check out a thread or 2, and then back to the main screen and some old ones pop up top with new notifications and I'm just like AHHHH, GET OFF! You're in my way! Kinda like when I'm driving, haha.
@kaymaroo To be fair, there are 5 or 6 suggested threads to be started each day in the intro thread (not that people necessarily start them or that they all apply to everyone, or even to this particular group of ladies), plus ticker changes, randoms, questions, symptoms, GTKY and more threads that people start. And most of these are weekly threads, rather than dailies, so they're supposed to continue. There are a lot of threads!

This. If a discussion is still productive, I'm inclined to continue it even if, you know, it's the FFFC thread and it's a Saturday. But I'm crazy like that.
Honestly, though, I know people criticize this board for being too regimented for trying to keep the threads organized/streamlined and while I don't agree with that, I do think giving ppl the side eye for posting on a thread from the day previous is a little over the top.

Alrighty, since we are doing body hair confessions, I have a couple: Firstly, I have very sparse blonde hair on my legs, and since I wear pants, and my DH isn't a leg-man, I sometimes don't shave for a week or so.
Secondly, I get kinda confused when the board gets into 3rd tri and everyone complains about not being able to shave their bush. Maybe it's because I am nearly blind in the shower and have shaved by touch for years, but I don't get the dilemma.
@lindsye I don't give people the side-eye for it. I was just stating I don't like it constantly popping up. Seeing notifications (especially on old stuff) bothers me because I don't want to see the notifications sit there, and I also don't want to keep clicking on it to make it go away. Same on Facebook...I can't just let there be that red circle with a number sitting there. It's just me being weird, lol. This is the reason I don't look at every thread. I would just feel like I "have" to catch up and that there's so much to catch up on. Like the intro thread. I just let that build...no way I can go through that.
I hear you, @psuxray07, and I definitely wasn't trying to call you out specifically - I was just weighing in on the subject since several other people mentioned it as well.
