mrsbacz Eye roll. People (your sister) get so excited and territorial over weddings I don't get it. The whole idea about a wedding is bringing people together to celebrate. And, um, how are you going to tell your belly not to look pg?
AFM I feel seasick looking at this computer screen right now but need to get the scoop on everyone while the kids are being dismissed.
@mrsbacz That is a really crappy thing for your sister to say. Wait until she's pregnant, sick as a dog, and wants some sympathy - then remind her that she wanted you to do without that sympathy for most of your pregnancy!
When I told my sister I was pregnant, she didn't congratulate me. She basically said, "Oh. But the really big news is that I'M pregnant!" We were due the same week, both our first babies. Did you grow up with narcissistic parents, with your sister being their Golden Child, like me?
@kpc914 It's okay; that was really one of the last straws with her, so she's never met my daughter, and I've never met her son. Thankfully, my husband has a lot of nieces and nephews, so my daughter won't lack for family!
@FrancisD. My sister got pregnant right before J was born, and I still think she did it in purpose because she'd told me I numerous times that she was jealous of the attention our mother was giving me throughout the entire pregnancy.
@ivyvines6 LOL what a misguided reason to get yourself stuck with 18 years of babysitting!
She has two older kids from her first marriage, and her boyfriend has a kid from his first marriage. They have a full house! Wouldn't trade the world for my niece though. She's a doll. I've nursed her for my sister because she had mastitis so you can say we're pretty close.
@mrsbacz Man I'm sorry she acted like that, so supportive! I mean I wanna say it's just the shock and in a few days / weeks she'll come around and realise she's being rude as hell. Just announce whenever you feel comfortable as long as it's not at her wedding/ bridal shower etc you're good to go girl
And the pregnancy pettiness has started... I just stopped crying over Dunkin' Donuts messing up my order. They never mess it up. It could also stem from me being flipping exhausted today though. I dropped J off at my parent's house so I could get a little bit of a break for the evening, because he's nursing around the clock like a newborn instead of the toddler he is. I get a call at 3:30 saying he's fevered, and has been crying for like three hours and they need me to come get him. I get there and nurse him back to sleep and stay there until I have to take SO to work. I'm. So. Tired. How could DD let me down like this???
The heat is killing me! It was 100 yesterday and 101 today and we live in area that averages upper 60's year round and nobody has ac in their homes. It's 88 in our upstairs and I'm trying to nap before work tonight since I was up at 5:20 with DS2 and it's just too hot! Can it just be 3 am so that it's at least cooler and I can go to bed??
@createmagic14 noo! I felt like that yesterday, but it's better today. Hope yours is only temporary
Thanks. Last pregnancy I had nausea most of first tri, but only threw up twice or three times. I can't remember what helped though, haha Glad you're feeling better today!
