Thank you @izza2 for that information and to you and @blackhottamales and @darkstar42 for your opinions. I think I will talk to DH about going ahead with the place that doesn't need referrals. I may have to convince him now that a Dr told us to wait because he's very trusting of professionals so we'll see! Thanks all!
@charlestonchew. As a lady who spent plenty of $$$ on testing and wasted an awful lot of time in the process, before finally finding out our problem was MFI, FWIW, I am definitely #teamgettheSA
Just popping in to say I'm still here.... still waiting for AF... <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/da/53z4x2u0hjys.gif" alt=""> <div class=" Spoiler"><img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/q1/9mmruubvyyje.jpg" alt="" title="Image: https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/q1/9mmruubvyyje.jpg"></div><p> </p>
@charlestonchew I agree with @darkstar42 (hi friend, miss you!) that you should go ahead and have YH do the SA now. The more information the better (and the earlier the better, as @BusinessWife mentioned). I do not think you owe an explanation to your OB. If she questions you, you can simply explain that you and YH felt it in your best interest to start testing now so that you have more data/info available. (Or if you feel really uncomfortable, you can say that YH's doctor suggested it). I doubt there would be in harming in either of those answers.
@BusinessWife How are you doing? How are you feeling? I think we were CD buddies at one point...think AF is close? Excited for your next step!
@dukestar5. Omg yeah, it's just so many things. I don't even know where to begin. I told DH I am a little bit scared and I am going to need his support. And also warned him that I'm probably going to be some kind of hormonal basketcase, and really need to be able to count on him through all that. I think that's the part I'm most not looking forward to - hoping I can tolerate the emotional ride the hormones could take a person on... AF should be here soon... any day now!!! Never been so anxious to actually see the B! Lol
@charlestonchew Just adding my support here! An SA is so important but also so easy. If you guys are ready, don't let one doctor slow you down. Good luck
@BusinessWife Girllll I could have written your exact post. Sending you so much love and luck (and AF vibes too!).
@charlestonchew I'll echo what everyone else says - be proactive. If there's an issue with YH's SA (hopefully there is not!) it can take awhile to change it (ie with vitamins, lifestyle changes, etc) so you'd want to start sooner rather than later. Good luck!
