How many months have you been TTC? 2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Opk, cm, bd
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
I think I'm supposed to say *trigger warning* miscarriage
We just got married a couple weeks ago, but we have been together for just about 10 years this fall. We discussed having children 3 years ago, but with many deaths in our family and me working on my masters I decided I wanted to wait until we were married. I've been using NFP as birth control for the last 4 years. I started with tracking my bbt with fertility friend to learn more about my ovulation. After 2 years I knew pretty much when I'd ovulate so I switched to solely opk. Last spring (the time when normally I'll have a 40+ day cycle due to the stress of the spring semester and prepping my seniors for graduating) I ovulated 5 days earlier than I normally do and got pregnant. At 11 weeks I went to the ER with cramping and spotting and was told I had a blighted ovum and miscarried the next day. Since then we decided to hold off actively trying until the month before our wedding. He was out of town last month when I ovulated so this is technically our first real try. I'm 2 dpo so we'll see what happens.
We are both math teachers in a small rural district, we have two 13 year old black labs that we love incredibly. I enjoy hiking though now that the pups can't handle the longer treks I don't go as often. I love canning and I'm excited for this fall when I get to teach a gardening class that hopefully I'll incorporate canning into it.
I'm looking forward to joining a community here as I didn't tell anyone about our pregnancy last year and don't plan on telling anyone about this could be pregnancy until the 12 week mark.
How many months have you been TTC? We're just starting this month.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? As I'm a bit older, I'm going to use the ovulation monitor to see when I start ovulating again, since I've been on the pill since my first was born, then I'll just use a tracker to do a lot of BD'ing with the hubby!
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have a 17 month old that we absolutely adore and a dog. I work in training and development and my husband is an account rep. I write books for young adults on the side and love to read and hang out with my family!
How many months have you been TTC? We're on month 4
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? PNV, BD, OPK, Pom juice because who not and it's yummy.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a few weeks and just decided to start posting. So far, no temping but I might go for it soon. My husband is an attorney and I am a preschool/daycare director. Literally around kids and babies daily. We love to go to the family lakehouse and explore our city. I am SO eager to get the support from everyone and to give it in return!
**General TW for loss and kids**
Hi! I've been
lurking quite a bit for the past few months, hoping and hoping that I wouldn't
need to join, but here I am. Looking forward to meeting some awesome people, venting to people who "get it", learning some stuff and helping support people as well.
Ages (you and SO): I’m 35 and Hubs is 32
How many months have
you been TTC? 4, I'm currently CD
11 of cycle 5
What are you doing to
get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPKs (CB Advanced digital in the am, internet cheapies in the
afternoon), PNV, CM, very half-heartedly (or should I say half-fingerdly ) checking
CP, just started temping this cycle and it’s not going well.
Tell us about
yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) *general TW* We got married in 2012, started TTC in 2013. Got
pregnant the first month we tried, but had a blighted ovum so I had a d&c.
Tried again the month after the d&c, and got pregnant with identical
twins the first time trying again, making the past four months very confusing
and frustrating to say the least. I was somewhat active on my birth board
and the Multiples board in 2013-14, but then wasn't because twins are
a lot of work. They’re a little over 3
now and so much fun, so we’re finally in a place where we feel ready for
another. We have an old, age-unknown (we’re
guessing 12+ range), rescue dog with anxiety who’s on Prozac. I work in research as a study coordinator for
clinical drug trials in Genetics, and I love camping, music, movies, Investigation
Discovery and ghost shows.
How many months have you been TTC? Starting this month
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting through FF: BBT, CM, OPKs
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have a 17 month old DS and a 3 year old dog. DH and I both work full time outside the home. He's in engineering and I'm in healthcare. We like going on coffee date nights and live a pretty simple life.
Nice to meet you!
Bostonians! 1 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Hunter. We got pregnant and lost the baby at 6 weeks. Trying to stay positive.
How many months have you been TTC? TW (loss mentioned) - We were trying for 6 months before I got a BFP in late June. Unfortunately, we found out that it was non-viable and not developing at my dating ultrasound last week, so we're back to trying again once I'm given the ok from my OB.
What are you doing to get knocked up? I was temping/charting last time we were trying, and will start temping again soon, I just don't know when to start. Also taking PNV.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) TW (child mentioned) My husband and I have one son, who is almost 17 months. We also have one cat. My favorite thing to do is bake, and I love trying out new baking recipes, especially ones that have lots of steps/seem complicated. I also like to do yoga, and spend time outdoors.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you, while also hoping all of our time here is short.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We
live in NYC and have an 18 month old daughter and two fur babies.
Forum Etiquette Question: Is it appropriate for me to participate in the IF treatment and testing check-ins? I don't have an infertility diagnosis, but I am going through IVF and would love to chat with people going through similar treatments, but I don't want to be insensitive or inappropriate. Thanks!!
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? just BD for now on the days during the fertile window on a few apps. Will probably start tracking my BBT and maybe using an OPK next month.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I work in education and I enjoy snowboarding, going to concerts, going to the beach, listening to podcasts, and traveling. I've been lurking for a few weeks. Trying to make sure I follow all the rules so I'll probably lurk some more since I'm new to TTC but I'm sure once I'm more comfortable using the site and ready to participate, I will. I feel like it maybe hard to keep up with everyone but I get that you need to give support to get it.
hi!!!! I was here a few years ago 2014/2015 and I'm back again trying to conceive. I know lots of pregnant IRL but needed to share the TTC process with someone other than my H
I'm 36 and H is 35
How many months have you been TTC?
This is our first month this time around
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Not temping or OPKing yet. I wanted to take it slow and see how this month went. Just BDing, tracking and checking CM.

I live in New England with my H, our almost two year old son B, and our cat. I'm a lawyer and my H is in tech. I love to cook, eat and drink but those hobbies are a bit limited since B. Toddlers are exhausting.
How many months have you been TTC? We're working on heading that way. I hope you don't mind me hanging out with you while we get there ****TW from this point on, pretty much everything mentioned I think...***** My previous pregnancy ended in a healthy baby, but generally a cluster duck every other way possible. The severity of the infections after a c-section led to so much scarring I've already been warned I will deal with secondary infertility. Will. And the PTSD, PPD and PPA left me on a whole bunch of meds I need to wean off, slowly and safely.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? We are working through how I can have a safe and healthy pregnancy and delivery. At this point that involves a lot of research, finding better care than I had last time, finding out more about what it means that I am going to face knowing I "will" deal with infertility according to my obgyn who did the surgery. *I* feel like we won't know until we get to the baby making bit of trying, but I suppose she was the one in there... Anyway, to some degree, emotionally I need to start talking about pregnancy and birth as a good thing - not "that awful trauma." I *have* to hope that my next one, with competent medical staff, will have a smoother road.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have one little boy who I love more than anything in this world except maybe my husband. I work in finance, and am a photographer as a hobby. We have a dog and three kitties. My son isn't talking a whole bunch yet, but he loves to chase the dog yelling "cat! cat!" Poor dog!
