@antoto That is good to know! Honestly, the thought of putting her in school is terrifying to me. With IEP meetings and all the extra things that will come along with it, it gets pretty intimidating. I just want her to be valued and included, and for her to be able to thrive and learn to her fullest capabilities. I know I can't expect all of her teachers through the years to love her and see her like I do so it's hard. Hopefully there are more teachers than not that see things the way you do!

So my husband and I bought my parents a new Chrysler 300 C to help them get around. This weekend, someone keyed the crap out of it. My mom is so upset and I am livid! Who does that!?!?!? WHY!?
I used to live very close to a college campus and some drunk college kids literally tore the side view mirror off of my car and left it on my windshield. (I know it was on purpose because it was the side next to the sidewalk, and there was a tree right next to the car so you had to purposely go in between the tree and the car to even get to it). People suck.
@day38 that is just awful! why must people suck, seriously!? My parents own a bar and my mom thinks it was definitely personal. Whoever did it knew it was their car and they park in the back of the bar. They were trying to figure out if they had anyone who was upset with them. I'm just pissed because the car is in my name and I worked hard to get that as a gift for my Father last year for Father's Day. No respect people have. -_-
My MBF is that my OB is on sabbatical until November. I'm not super worried about it, but it is a bit annoying. I'm really big on consistency of care. But with that said, I had her for my first two and both times, someone else delivered the baby due to being a week early each time and she was gone. I had great doctors who stepped in both times, so I know her team is solid. She knows me so well that I really don't want to leave her, but I would consider switching to the woman who delivered my second baby--she was seriously bada$$ in the delivery room and I loved her.
I'm waiting to hear back from the clinic about scheduling my first 20 weeks worth of appointments. My goal is to schedule as many of them outside of the school day as possible. I might even consider going with a different OB for that time just to make that happen... Mama needs all the PTO she can save! How often are they again? I'll have a 12, 16, and 20, right? I can't remember. Is that mommy brain or pregnancy brain? Both?

The woman who delivered my daughter literally sat cross legged in front of me and delivered the baby INTO HER LAP. I was amazed. We don't get to pick who delivers our babies, but I would be thrilled if she delivered for me again.
Air conditioning at work is broken. It has been for over a week. We finally have permission to get it fixed but it'll be Wednesday before they can get out here. It's gross in here.

My MBF is something I've been kind of stewing on/been annoyed with. Some background: the hospital where I gave birth before has a policy where if you see a midwife for your pregnancy care, a midwife does your delivery. If you see an MD, an MD does your delivery. Obviously, if something goes wrong and the midwife needs an MD, they're available. But, it's set up that way to ensure that women who specifically want a lower intervention experience are 1st in line for midwives since they have x midwives and x doctors working any specific shift.
I seriously love the midwife I saw for my last pregnancy. When I called her office to make an appointment, I found out that she's doing some different program where she's not delivering babies anymore (fine, she didn't deliver my son because it wasn't her night) and it's in partnership with that office's MD. They said if I go with her, I'd have to see the MD every few appointments, also fine. But, if I do this program I'm considered an MD patient and not a MW patient. The entire reason I chose this specific hospital (versus one slightly closer) is because it's well known for its midwife practice. I have my 1st appointment with the same MW from last year, and I guess I'll decide from there what to do, but I'm really bummed because I really like her and it looks like I have to choose between her and the type of delivery I want.
My MBF is to the weather. They're saying it's going to be 99 tomorrow, followed by 106, 109 and 102 Wednesday through Friday. It isn't supposed to get this hot here!!
I've never heard of waiting that long. My first appointment isn't scheduled until 11w. I called a free pregnancy center and have an ultrasound scheduled for next week
@chasingroygbiv Thanks. I don't have a diagnosed disorder. I had a prior DVT in 2005, but I'm only on blood thinners during pregnancy. This one showed up 4 days before my first appt, when I'm usually prescribed medication.
I am going to literally drive myself crazy! I am so anxious about this pregnancy. It's almost obsessive! I just started feeling a very dull subtle cramp in my lower stomach and there I go looking up stuff. Nothing super painful or alarming. Just a very slight and subtle cramp and I get all up in arms. What in the world is wrong with me!? I KNOW that my body is changing, but here I am stressing over the slightest feeling in my tummy.
UGGGGHHHHH!!! I seriously need to calm the eff down and take a chill pill. Smh.

@lgutu28 yep! Got this SO many times already. Especially since it's our 3rd and our youngest is only 1. I even got a "you're crazy"...from someone who has double that amount of children. I don't know if it was coming from a place of "BTDT", or what, but I wanted to tell her to zip it.

Mine recently went away. My daughter is 2.5. The tunnel is long, but there is a light at the end of it!

So weird but my dog just randomly vomits. I've already asked the vet and she said some dogs are sensitive. But I'm assuming this is new for your pup? I'm glad he's feeling better
@babybluu Yeah, this is weird for him. I mean he'll occasionally puke, but usually because he like, ate a leaf, or something. I'm glad he's feeling better too.

My Wednesday BF is based on Tuesday night's DH show. Our neighborhood does a big National Night Out block party and we have tons of kids and families all around the same age--it's a blast. It's also a Tuesday night and DH works early in the morning the next day. I totally underestimated how much he had been indulging when we were out, and then he offered to make my pasta salad when we got home and got the kids to bed. I was super excited and went to rest a bit. When he brought it in, it was piping hot and had cold bacon in it that he had in the fridge for over a week now. I almost vomited, and I felt so bad because I didn't want to be ungrateful but I was really uncomfortable eating it with the old bacon...plus, just the thought of hot mayo made me gag. I was gracious and he ate it, but I went to bed totally pregnant-lady bummed because I was looking forward to it. I had passed up a ton of salads and yummy foods at the block party because they were sitting out in the sun so long by the time we got there, and I didn't get to indulge like everyone else in the adult beverages. I just wanted a giant bowl of creamy, cold noodles!
The aftermath in the kitchen when I woke up was a sight to be seen. DH felt like sh!t this morning, and the kitchen is a total disaster. We have family coming to stay with us today and our house was ready! So my super boring but maybe relatable complaint is that my super thoughtful but all-too-drunk DH brought a bit of sadness to my food life yesterday, and then gave me an extra dose of cleaning to take care of this morning before our guests arrive.
is it too late in the week for me to bitch? I had my annual review at work the day after I found out I was pregnant. Due to certain circumstances, I felt forced into telling my 2 bosses about the pregnancy earlier that I wanted to. I told my best work friend too, and also mentioned it to another close colleague because I wanted him to hear the whole story about my review. Fast forward a few weeks to today. We had a company outing at a rooftop bar. My bosses fiancé congratulated me in front of another colleague who had no idea I was pregnant (innocently but still annoying) and then when I told my other colleague what she did, his response was "well you had to know that would happen, you told enough people." Telling 4 people means I should expect the entire company to know my secrets? But that's the not worst. I left early because I have the longest commute, and I find out from my work bestie that that exact colleague went and told other employees that i was pregnant tonight. I am insanely angry...how ridiculous is that?
@isntthatspeshul I'm really sorry to hear that, I can relate as something sort of similar happened to me with my first... It's really upsetting, some people don't understand that it's not their news to share...
