I know we're all way too early to even know the sex but what names are on your short list and what are the names of your children?

We have a Calista Lillian and Maraleigh Celeste. My husband picked both first names and I picked both middle names (Lillian after my grandma Lilli Anna and Celeste is my mn).

On my girls short list is Georgia, Evelyn, Vivian and Violet. They've all been vetoed by my husband both rounds though so I'm not optimistic I'll get them this time either!

For a boy - Walker (family name) Braden  (my dad's mn) Michael  (my FIL), and I like Finn, Sawyer and Tucker.

We both like Meredith but can't come up with a middle name. I sure hope it's a girl because we can't come up with any boys names we like.

We have no idea. But we do have a baby names app I like. You each download it on your phones. You swipe left to disregard a name and right if you like it. Then the app links your phones and compiles a list of all the names you both like! Excited to use it again!

If it's a girl, she will probably be Julia Kate. A boy name is still up in the air. We have a Theo already. My husband likes Sullivan.

@hullabalou, guess that would be helpful! It's called Babyname - although I've heard there are other awesome ones! Friends of mine use a different one (not sure what it's called) but you can type in a siblings name and it'll help show names that go well with it. It's available in USA but not in Canada where I am.

My DD is Lillian Mae and my DS is Jasper Lloyd. I have no idea what we will name this one. We do want to honor my late brother in some way.

We have a boy name picked already. We've had forever. Elliott Alexander after both of our fathers. 

Were still ill working on the girls name. We're pretty much decided on Sloane for the first name but are working on a middle name.

If it's a boy it will be Samuel G.  I might do Samuel George, but G is the main part.  All are family names.  For a girl I have no clue.  I am kind of liking Naomi Jean.  Jean is my MILs middle name.

Our boys are: Henry ryan, Isaac Michael, Rory Anthony, middle school are all family (dh, my dad, dh in order... he doesn't have many good namesakes in his family bc they all suck). Picking Henry was easy. Isaac was like 30th on both our lists and Th only one we could agree in, and we both regret it a bit now. With Rory finally dh suggested that I could have final say on his first but if we have a fourth he gets final boy name say. So... if we have a boy, it will be his final call. I looove his name, and it suits him. He wanted Samuel for Isaac and Rory so it may be that, but this fall he said he wasn't sure he liked it anymore. 

We have had a girl name set for 7 years... lol. 

Ruby lynn for a girl. If it is a boy, the middle will also be lynn (for my mom, lucky it can be used for a boy too thigh not commonly, fine for a middle) so it I'll need to be a decisively male first I think (aka not Rory). We are finding out the sex early so are unlikely to really discuss boy names till we know

We are screwed if we have a boy because we cannot for the life of us settle agree on a name even back when I was pg with DD!

If it's another girl, I like Ella, Ellie, Lucy, and Madelyn

My 19 month old is Aria Eve.

If we have a boy his name will be William Richard, since Richard is my dad's name, DH's middle name, his grandfather's first name and his other grandfather's middle name. And my DH cannot be swayed from the name William. LOL. I personally think the combo is a little too stuffy/traditional for me, but DH's heart is so set on it that I can't say no. 

If we have another girl we like the name Freya Claire, but I'm not completely sold on the middle name with Freya. I like Marie better, but a few of my friends have already used it as a middle name, one of which would make a very big deal over me "copying" her. Not worth the drama.

we have no ideas for this kiddo, and since we are team green we will have to come up with a name for both sexes. 

I do really like the name Rhett for a boy though. Downloaded the app that was suggested here and we played around with it last night, was surprised that we had some matches already

DD is Alyssa Marie we want a name that kind of goes with it.

if if it's a girl we are thinking Kayla Rose/ or Anne for middle name. I like Aria too but my husband doesn't because it reminds him of game of thrones   

For a boy we Are struggling a bit on the list is Jacob, Ryan, Joshua. For middle name we like Matthew it's my husbands middle name

I like multisyllabic names for a little something extra if I need to get their attention I have an M and an N. I haven't a clue what this one will be...maybe an O name? DH and I will probably start talking about it after our 20 week a/s. I love seeing how many of you have family names tied in!

Our DD is Skye Elizabeth, Elizabeth is my mom's middle name...if this one is a boy, middle name will be Ross (my hubby's middle name), and if it's a girl, middle name might be Leslie (my MIL middle name)...not the biggest fan but I like middle names to be tied to family! @heatherdubrow my hubby and I have no idea of another girls name...Brynn is really nice and would go well with Skye I think?!

We have a long way to go still. We have google sheets for it. There are about 12 first names for each sex and about 8 middle names for each sex too. I think we'll get better at narrowing it down once we find out the sex and can focus. Our last name is Smith so it's hard. We don't want something too bland and ordinary since Smith is extremely common, but we don't want something so out there we regret it. We want it just weird enough, but not so much it's a mistake.

Does anyone else have an extremely common last name? Any tips?

My last name is pronounced "BUSH-ER" (different spelling) so I'm very sad that my childhood dream of using a name like Rose would just sound silly (as in Rose Bush..er). Most nature-y names are out. There's a lot of names that I love that I won't use because they end in "er" and I don't the rhyming quality (like Dexter Busher). 

I've had a running list of boy and girl names on my phone for years and when I got my BFP DH and I went through them all maybe agreeing on 1 or 2. It will be very hard to decide!

I'm almost convinced this baby is a boy because I can't find boy names that I like. Our daughter's name starts with an H so I really don't want a boy name to start with an H. I feel like I'd be 'starting' something and then they'd all have to be H names if we had anymore. Of course Harrison and Henry would be on my short list.

Our last name starts with an S so we don't want a B name either. I wouldn't want B.S. to be the initials.

We have a 1 syllable last name, and all of DH's siblings (and him) have full names that are 3-2-1 syllables. DS is the same way (Benjamin Thomas) so I'm hoping we can keep up the tradition, but I'm also willing to throw it out for a name I really like.

Team Green, so for a girl we are liking Chiara Therese or Chiara Marie, and for boy Anthony Joseph is at the top of our list.
