Moms of multiples!!!

We just had our first ultrasound today and found out it is twins! I am still in a state of shock. I am hoping to get a weekly thread going for other moms of multiples. I hope I'm not the only one. 

Anyone else?

Not that i know of wont find out til next tuesday but they run on DH side of family. His dad has a twin and his mother carried twins but unfortunatly lost them so it very possible especially sense all these pregnancy symptoms i have are way different then my sons

Sorry to break it to you....but DH has nothing to do with twins. It's all on the women's side. Fraternal are hereditary and identical is good luck! It's all about ovulation.

Ours are identical (share the same placenta) which have nothing to do with genetics. but I'm sure we will get lots of comments asking if they run in the family lol.

I didn't know identical twins weren't genetic. Both my mom and I have an identical twin. My mom's mom is a fraternal twin. I'm actually hoping I have twins this time (last pregnancy) to carry on the legacy... but I think my husband would faint... lol.  If not, there's always my sister! I won't find out for another week or two.

They say that identical twins are just the luck of the draw, but there seems to be a lot of anecdotal evidence to the contrary in my experience.

Yay! I'm not alone! Congrats! And second set?! Holy crap! Are your first di/do too?

Ours are mono/di. Maybe we will have a few more ladies here who will join us. On my last BMB there were three twin mamas. I definitely would love to get a moms of multiples thread going weekly.
