I'd like to show my surprise at the gauge IV those nurses got in her hand. How do you even get an IV in a baby vein that tiny??

    Glad she's doing so well!!

What the what? I'd guess that's the only vein big enough to get a line in  :D I only do adult, not peds, so I had no idea a baby PICC could look like that in the hand? Like a regular peripheral IV?

How is she doing today? How are YOU doing?

Is she 31 weeks gestational age now? Calla looks very alert! Such a strong and beautiful little girl. I'm so happy to hear that everything is looking fine with her digestion. If you don't mind, I'm going to keep on checking in with you to see how you are all doing. If that is overwhelming or intrusive, you absolutely don't need to respond.

@mambo5-2 I hope hr gets that all sorted out quickly. It should be retroactive and they have to reimburse you or credit you for the rest of the bills, if it is from the hospital. I also didn't know this until later, but you can try to negotiate a smaller payment with the hospital and/or a payment plan.
