@Mambo5 of course we do! We're all invested now as a member of the premee club i always am interested in my fellow bitty babies! I was born 28 weeks 3 days. I'm more than happy to pm you a picture if you think it would help keep your spirts up to see a happy story.  If not no hard feelings I just wanted to offer

Here is my how to explain how tiny my baby is. She wore the NP diaper her first day and she is currently in MP. We got to keep these diapers.

I'd like to show my surprise at the gauge IV those nurses got in her hand. How do you even get an IV in a baby vein that tiny??

What the what? I'd guess that's the only vein big enough to get a line in  I only do adult, not peds, so I had no idea a baby PICC could look like that in the hand? Like a regular peripheral IV?

She is wonderful as always. She needs to gain weight once she is 1100-1250 grams they will be able to take her off of respiratory support because she doesn't need it but is to small to take her off. I'm alright, going to therapy because mama needs all the therapy in her life.

We had a rough start to the week. Calla's stomach got very distended and they had to stop all of her feeds and check for infection and lots of other things. Everything ended up being fine. She was able to get off of all respiratory support on Monday and currently weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces.

Is she 31 weeks gestational age now? Calla looks very alert! Such a strong and beautiful little girl. I'm so happy to hear that everything is looking fine with her digestion. If you don't mind, I'm going to keep on checking in with you to see how you are all doing. If that is overwhelming or intrusive, you absolutely don't need to respond.

@MyNamesTaken I'm ok, living day to day. Still dealing with stupid blood pressure. I'm just trying to make it through and not throw my pump out the window.

@mambo5-2 The first few weeks are exhausting in the best of circumstances. I can only imagine how draining it is. Hang in there! We're all supporting you both!

Calla is one month old today! She is 2 pounds 14 ounces and started oral feeds on Sunday. She has been nursing at least once a day, not getting much but latching and getting something. She is also taking bottles when I'm not at the hospital, she has finished one full bottle even, usually she does about 1/2 of her bottles. She passed her eye exam so she doesn't need another until she is 6 months.

Hanging in there @lilpoots. Her medical bills have started rolling in and my hr people screwed up putting her on my insurance so she isn't covered yet. I screwed up an paid one of her bills in full and about cried because I thought it was mine.

@mambo5-2 I hope hr gets that all sorted out quickly. It should be retroactive and they have to reimburse you or credit you for the rest of the bills, if it is from the hospital. I also didn't know this until later, but you can try to negotiate a smaller payment with the hospital and/or a payment plan.

we have big news! We are tubes free!!! We eat all of our feeds orally by bottle or nursing! Yesterday was a HUGE day we had our feeding tube removed after deciding if the weekend that she was a big girl and eating all for her feeds orally. She also came out of her isolete yesterday and moved into an open air crib. Then she got to move to a bug girl room officially as a feeder grower. Their goal is for this babe to go HOME on Friday. FRIDAY!!!! Obviously there are things that could hold us back for a bit longer, like the carseat test, but BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING!
