Although technically this happened last night, DH had yesterday off for a 4 day weekend so it feels like a weekend to me.... I made 3 from scratch Stromboli rolls and froze 2 of them for when I'm too exhausted to cook in the 3rd trimester! Before I moved in January I had a second freezer in the garage full of meals I made ready to heat up. But since moving and getting pregnant I've had no energy to make anything time consuming and avoided the extra work of making a lot extra. Hopefully I can continue this now that I'm a bit better and stock up for those exhausting days to come or even for after the baby! (DH cannot and does not cook at all and he is very spoiled!)
Yesterday I surprised DH with his Fathets Day gift since this is my weekend to work. He got a nice weed wacker, I'm so practical. I also got him a Deadpool poster. Before that he went with me to DDs school for the last award assembly of the year. After getting his gift we went and walked around stores, had ice cream and went to an Asian restaurant. I even got to have a heart to heart with him about why I was so upset about him not sharing that he is married since most people know him as he was, not who he is now, it was a silly win but he did change his profile a little. Yesterday was good, today he was off to work early and its DDs last day of kindergarten.
@am+mommy ooo now I want to make a buffalo chicken stromboli for dinner! That's such a good idea, having a second freezer with meals. Unfortunately not an option for us, but I'd love a thread for freezer meals closer to due date! Did you cook the other two strombolis and then freeze them or did you leave them raw to be cooked later?
I'm going out to dinner with a couple friends tomorrow and really excited - I don't do that often. But I would love to have a large glass of wine. Bah.
Don't have to cook tonight because my parents are taking us out to dinner for my birthday (a few days late due to my mom being sick) woo for one less task to do on a Friday.
My Birthday is the end of the month. DH never knows what to get me so I usually pick something out on Amazon and he buys it. I'm getting a snoogle. Also, last day of school and DD has progressed so much she is off the 1st grade in the fall. On our way home from school she spotted a friend so she's over there playing while I get to relax a little.
My friend asked me to watch her 8 month old son. He was crying so I sang him a song. He proceeded to fall asleep halfway through my song so now I just have a precious sleeping baby for a bit. So wonderful.
I had my 3rd Makena injection today and as a bonus they let me hear her heartbeat. Usually it is just the shot and I'm sent on my way so it was a nice addition to my Friday.
@MaximumEffort My birthday is also at the end of the month! Only it's going to suck because DH and DD1 will be away. Same with last year. I think I'll just wait to celebrate in July.
I'm running late for work but it's a win because the reason I'm late. There was a Beautiful white horse running loose outside of my neighborhood and it stopped traffic. I don't mind being late since I got to watch it being all gorgeous and wild right next to my car
We had an all staff meeting today and they announced we are getting bonuses in July. Its a non profit and that never happens so it is really exciting and it is not a small bonus. Wonderful in light of almost being without a job 2 weeks ago. This emotional roller coaster has been so much fun for this pregnant lady....
My two year old finally peed in his potty!!!!!! After a very successful cookout up in the canyon with friends, he decided it was time after months of not wanting to try without a diaper on. So basically one heck of a good day!
@BayCamp That picture is awesome. I believed your story odd as it seemed and then was scrolling down and the magical horse picture definitely make me lol. The hair!

Lol we live in an area that is rapidly developing but until 2-3 years ago was mostly cow pastures and small farms, so it's not super odd to have a cow or something blocking traffic. First time for a horse and it was so majestic!
My husband decided to make up Mother's Day to me today. Very timely with Father's Day being tomorrow (I think he was scared). But I'm pretty sure I stayed in bed this morning for the longest I have since our daughter was born.
Since DH is done with his old job and the new one doesn't start until Monday he is OFF all weekend for the first time ever!!
So far he's let me sleep in, mowed the yard, and now he took DS to Walmart so I can shower in peace. I think he's angling to get lucky tonight, but whatever I'll take it.
All the laundry is washed and hung up (but still in the basement lol). Worked on some projects for the gender reveal party and got a lot of misc junk put away. Feeling accomplished!
I saw my friend's baby today and held her and it was so wonderful
ETA I also went to a Yankee Candle "rejects" store and found my baby shower favors for 50 cents each! I'm doing the Soft Blanket votive candles and putting them in organza bags. My friend is throwing my shower but I'm paying for parts of it, one of which was favors.
My husband is going off roading tomorrow in his jeep with a bunch of his friends. I get a whole day to myself. And there is a ballet in the park event tonight that he is taking me to. It is the little things in life. @08-16-08jms that sounds great. It feels so good to get stuff done. @jess0211 I finally got a pregnancy pillow the other day and I am sorry I waited so long. Glad you slept better!
DS1 and I finished his simple machine project and it's soooooo cool!! It flips pancakes out of a skillet across the room and onto a plate. Then a pulley system pours syrup onto it for you! I'm so impressed with his creativity and skills!
The Harry Potter themed baby shower I helped throw was amazing!
DH and DS also had a wonderful day together. The morning started off fuzzy for DS but he rallied and they went to a museum. DH even got DS to nap after a 30m car nap. That alone deserves an award.
DH and I were SOOOO productive today! We put together a new pantry for the kitchen and were able to empty our baker's rack and two cabinets. We decided to get another pantry to put beside it so we have even more space. It might be more than we need now but I know down the road we will need more space. We also reorganized both bathroom cabinets and linen closet and made so much space! Next project is the garage but that can't happen until after the yard sale next month. I am so proud of DH for helping with this reorganization of the house.
We had a crazy and super fun day today. Finished off with sunset on the beach, might have gotten in to a sand throwing fight with DH and DS...and lost. Sugar sand everywhere! Even the baby powder trick and a shower didn't help but it was worth it.
@BayCamp that photo is stunning! What an amazing reason for being late to work!
My win is that we just spent 3 days at the in laws and it went well! We have a good amount of family tension so it is always stressful staying with them. Yay for it being over, and no big incidents!
Win: made it to 1 week before we go on vacation! Not a babymoon but may as well be.

Baby powder helps take sand off your skin. It really works, but sometimes the super fine sugar sand is just impossible to remove. But it helps a lot for getting sand off your feet before you get in the car and things like that.
I guess this is a in win. TTGP ladies will remember all thr drama with my brother and his subsequent incarceration. Apparently he is out of jail and in rehab now. This feels likea huge win for our family. Hopefully rehab helps.
