@auntieraindrop Very kind of you to say, thank you! @Cricket99 All the feels over TriCare... ugh. I call them about everything now because we've had such a rocky road with any claims or referrals. And *hugs* on the move - that was our family with DS pregnancy. Hope all goes well. ❤
But...update & advice needed! I feel like I'm living in a movie over here. DH left for his 10 weeks of training yesterday, this morning I had a standard appt. with my MFM. She's an amazing provider and says, "Let's have a little fun today, I'll check Baby with a full look. We can even peak at gender!"
Let's just say she did not see Team Pink - according to her! Umbilical cord was being tricky today and she was using an older machine. Her guess was all boy though! I don't know whether to laugh at the silliness of it all or cry because we are back at square one!
@myorke24 Ugh, I'm so sorry for the unexpected drama! It sounds like your best bet is to wait until the 20 weeks u/s when baby is more fully developed to get a better idea of what the gender may be. Obviously, you didn't want to wait, which is why you went to a third party... but I think it may be difficult to tell early on what the sex is due to late bloomers and umbilical cords. Sorry I couldn't provide much help.
@myorke24 my best friend was told at a really early US that it looked like a boy and when she went later it was a girl. She went on to have a normal healthy baby girl.
@myorke24 so sorry you're dealing with that! Sounds like something that would happen to me, lol. That happened with my friend with her twins, too, and the second guess was right. What a way to mess with hormones!
We found out we're having a girl! I too was told I'd have to wait til 19 or 20 weeks to find out, so I got impatient and paid the private ultrasound place to tell me at 16 weeks. Team pink!
I had an ultrasound 4 days ago. We we're offered a gender reveal at 16 weeks. We're having a boy! He made the ultrasound tech work hard. He was a shy little guy.
I have not been to a sexing u/s yet but we are both hoping for a girl!

Ultrasound yesterday, 13w4ish days (they've been bouncing my due date between 26th-29th) sonographer took a prediction, and when she explained what she was looking at I think she is right... ITS A BOY! I'm super stoked, my best friend who is a month younger than me that I've known since she was born is due with a boy in just a few days. I really look forward to our little dude and her little dude being buddies!
We are team blue again! DS had his heart set on a little sis but he seems to be adjusting to the idea of a brother to play with. We all thought for sure it was a girl but to our surprise it's definitely all boy :-) Now we just need to figure out a name!
My dr office called me back today with my results from the genetic blood test. She said results looked good and we are having a boy! I am so excited. So Relieved that the results were normal and having a boy is exciting! We have a boy and girl already and we're hoping just a bit that we would have a boy this time. No idea what we will name him.
@deegr8_ I'm 100% sure it's a boy or girl. Most of us aren't ultrasound techs, so we can't really interpret ultrasounds, but have fun guessing until you get a definitive answer! Feel free to introduce yourself on our introductions thread. This would be a good picture to put in the ultrasound thread! Congratulations and welcome!
We found out through early NIPT that we are TEAM PINK!! Super excited and my 5 yo son is so happy to have a little sister on the way! Yay frilly clothes and future mommy/daughter mani/pedis!
Guys. It's a BOY!!! I know everyone says they just want a healthy baby. I get that...and at the end of the day, that's absolutely all I want too. But I would be lying if I said that I didn't have a preference. I REALLY wanted a boy. So glad that I got my wish! And even more glad that everything looks perfect. Here's our simple little gender reveal, camping style. We had all of our family there, so it was extra special. We had DD open a present with a little boy's outfit inside. She had no idea what was going on, but she sure liked the bag of jelly beans that I put at the bottom just for her.
We found out today that we are having a GIRL!! I think my fiancé is still in shock (lol) but a little girl is exactly what I was hoping for! I cried the second the ultrasound tech told us...I am SOOOO pumped and excited!
We surprised family by telling them we had an announcement to share before we had to go home yesterday. It was so fun! To our surprise, we are welcoming a little GIRL in January! I bawled like a baby. Thanks hormones! We are still in shock that it isn't another boy. So very happy to be team PINK!
I'm excited to announce that yesterday we found out we are having a girl! Some of our friends and family threw us a little party and DH hit a piñata for the reveal!
