Yay thanks for starting! Mine are makeup themed and inspired by a wedding I was in the other weekend.
1. I think it's silly to put so much makeup on your face as a bride/bridesmaid that you look like it's caked on. I get that it might look better in pictures, but are pictures really more important than looking good IRL?!?
2. Eyeliner. When used purposefully, or deliberately to be dramatic, it looks great. But too many women think it's like a necessary part of a makeup routine and use it just because of that, with no thought to how it actually accentuates their eyes. The woman doing my makeup tried to put it on me and I had to explain to her that with my hooded eyelids, when you look at me straight on you can barely see any eyelid, and eyeliner just makes them look even smaller.
@bluejeanbabi05 I never knew there was a term for this, but I have hooded eyelids as well! No eye makeup ever looks good on me, and I have paid a lot of money for professionals to put it on me.

+1 on overdoing makeup at weddings. I get putting on more than normal since it's a big occasion and you want to feel your most beautiful. But putting on too much seems like it makes people look worse, not better IMO.
MY UO is that I think this whole circus surrounding the Comey testimony is a dog and pony show and people are just lapping it right up. Like, his prepared testimony was already released. Do people really think this poker-faced former head of the FBI is going to give them a gotcha moment on live TV? I doubt it.
i barely wear makeup. not bc i am just so naturally beautiful (i look horrendous) but i just dont have the engery, for it in the morning or taking it off at night. i envy people who really do it every day, not over doing it but just enhancing themselves. this is really a FFFC but all i have to offer at the moment haha.
@aprilsarahjune me too! Lol and I have painstakingly followed many Jaclyn hill tutorials like WHY DOESNT THIS SHIT LOOK GOOD ON ME. I've finally come to terms with the fact that I need to stick with neutrals on my eyes and have fun with the rest of the makeup.
I think its due to insecurity, but I pretty much wear makeup everyday... sometimes I won't on the weekends. Today I was so tired I almost cried in the shower when I thought about how I still had to do my hair and make up before work. I wish I had like naturally cute hair that I didn't have to do anything to and a naturally cute face. Sorry that turned sad lol.
Also, on the makeup topic - Occasionally I come across those contorting videos and sometimes it looks SOO unnatural and they use like 4565456 products. That's too much for me.
i HATE FB posts showing your food or flowers. congrats, we all put food on the table every night idgaf. your flowers look lovely, but do we need to give you a medal? that is brightening up your space for you...i am not into giving you accolades about that bc you AWed them on FB.
@carries2018 JUST NOP. You dont look horrendous. I can relate to what @JessDG said, last time i put on make up was during our last "motel session"... And before that, our wedding, and i did it myself (no eye liner cause of hooded eyelids, mascara, a little bronzer and khol and that was it). Im so not into makeup that everytime i buy the essentials (i like to buy a good brand cause i have very complicated skin)... Before the next time ill use it, it wont be good anymore lol! @jessirh to me you re still missing on the deliciousness!
Tffc : the one time i was happy to see someone overuse (and it was BAAAAD) makeup is H's xwife. When we started dating i had found pics of their wedding in his drawer.... She looked like dracula with ten shades of red on her eyes (pale skin and dark hair, she was beautiful au naturel) but maaaaaan was I happy to see those pics mouhahaha
I don't get the heavy makeup thing either. I had a few friends whose wedding makeup was so over the top that It didn't even look like them. I want to be able to show my kids wedding pictures and for them to actually recognise me.
My UO is that I think text lingo is annoying. I don't mind lol or abbreviations that we use here like DD, DH, etc but I can't stand when people text "R U going 2...." Spell the dang words out! I have people email me things like that at work and it's so unprofessional.
@OliveOyl2014 I hate that too! My mom is so guilty of this. Mom, get with it. Also, I had an employee of a government agency email me using those kind of terms too. You work for the government! Be more professional.
I love makeup! It's like a fun arts and crafts project on my face. I don't wear it all the time, but I do wear it when I go into the office, parties, date nights, etc. And when I wear it, I always do eyeliner. I think it makes me look more awake. I don't go crazy with it though, just a think black line.
The extent of my makeup is bb or cc cream and sometimes mascara. Pregnancy is not nice to my skin which bums me out. It's not so much acne, but redness and capillaries. I tried to schedule a laser treatment a few weeks ago but they won't do it during pregnancy, but the girl did say that it would be better to wait anyway since it might just get worse in the next few months. So annoying! This is more of a BF than a UO. I'll try to think of something more on topic.
@OliveOyl2014 ugh I can't stand that either! It's not that hard to type out words. My friend's husband writes like that on FB and it drives me so crazy that I had to unfollow him. "Can't w8 2 C U 2nite". NO!!! Stop.

I feel like its more work to type out things like mentioned above. Just type the real words people!
+1 to the not-so-unpopular opinion of little makeup. i makeup probably only 10 percent of the time. i do spend a lot of time/money on skincare though. i'm fighting a losing battle hard lol. i cringe when i look at old pics of myself from the early 2000s - so much eyeshadow ugh
I hate when people attach the word Southern to everything. Southern fried chicken, southern buttermilk biscuits, southern pecans, southern peaches. And normally it's not someone who is southern that does it. Normally it is someone with a fake southern accent saying it. What the heck dude, I am from Georgia. And I get that there are five distinct accent in the state of Georgia but none of them sound like that.
Reading this thread made me hungry for waffles loaded with maple syrup, just made some for lunch!

It's way too hot and humid here to wear a lot of makeup, but I will try and put shadow, concealer, and berry balm on before I leave the house. I mainly need the concealer though because I have the WORST dark circles under my eyes. One of my best friends will spend at least an hour putting her makeup on before she leaves the house, and its exhausting when we go on trips together, especially when I'm hungry and want to go eat. I feel like she is naturally gorgeous but she won't leave the house without it.

@jessafishy I would too, but I have yet to find a tub where I can stretch my legs out straight. My knees and shoulders get cold, the rest is warm. It's just too disappointing :-(

@spark88 I love saying panties just because it is such an awkward word. I especially love calling DH's underwear "panties" because it makes him cringe every time!
@jessafishy I looooove taking a bath. It used to be part of my nightly routine and would help me sleep, but I'm on pelvic rest so baths are off limits.

Nope...I don't understand baths at all! Are you supposed to shower after sitting in your filth? How can you be clean after stewing in dead skin cells and body oil? I don't get it

I would still take showers in the morning, but it was more for relaxing, not getting clean (for me).
