Re: July FET

  • Ok I changed my
    user name FINALLY haha
  • mtele let the fun begin, I cant say I had actual side effects from the patches as i'm on so many things I can pinpoint it BUT my skin is sensitive and irritated my skin so I'm glad I dont have to wear them.

slmurphy12 nice name change!  Something so easy take so many steps!  Sounds like you had a busy day already I need a nap!  What type of fur babies do u have? (TW) I did ask about the sexes, I didn't during my fresh transfer as I didn't know and it was first after my MC that I found out, so now i need to know everything which is probably bad as it makes the process tougher on me!  I was pregnant with twins so for me thats all i want again and OH doesn't want it.  MC are never a good thing but mine was awful and I had to rush to the ER, OH can't see me go through that again...not that I want to but I so wanted to be pregnant with twins again.  Funny how different we all are!  Trust me OH thinks I'm nuts its my first pregnancy as well and he reminds me how much tougher it will be with 2.  Still breaks my heart, should've been 36wks already...and not being pregnant already makes it tougher on me. @joneser1281 i'm including you in the twin chat, see i'm the lunatic that wants the twins!  Have an amazing time at the wedding, this is where I would go double fisted come on, live it up!  And then you can sneak the estrace and say its aspirin ;)  Enjoy getting all dressed up!  Its pouring here glad I dont have too ;) Remember to have a few fore me!!  Thumbs up on the sheet, you got it down u tech savvy person u  :D Would've taken me way longer i'm sure!  Thanks for the airborne tip will have to make a mental note of that one, never really used it before.

  • @Hopeful_mom I have two black labs. One is a lab and Gordon setter mix and the other is a English lab here they are dying in the hot sun lol!!! I wish I could've found out the sex. But before infertility I wanted it to be a surprise until the baby was born! So like you said all of us are different! My heart breaks for you that you had a MC :( I can only imagine. I'm praying fertile thoughts foryou! Extra fertile thoughts since you want twins lol
  • slmurphy12 OMG they are stunning!!!!  I love furbabies!!  Had a mini schnauzer, she was the best girl and almost made it to 17, lost her and my sweet princess kitty who was really a baby at 4 in a house fire...where I lost everything else but losing them still breaks my heart!  Looks like they are a handful!!  I was like you before infertility since I was a kid I always wanted it to be a surprise and still did.  We were all playing the guessing game from the US and first I thought boy/girl and then as I kept getting sicker I thought 2 girls.  It was after losing them that I had to know.  Talk about your dreams being shattered.  I really wonder if men were the ones going through this how they would cope.

  • @slmurphy12 Haha, thanks!  I would be happy with twins... It would just take some getting used to the idea haha.  Oh my DH is the same way... He feels like we are never going to have success.  Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying the majority of the positive thinking and strength on this... It can be exhausting!

@Hopeful_mom You are a lunatic!  Lol!  Just kidding.  You make me laugh.  I think I'm just really scared of twins.  I know how challenging it is to have one baby, that having two at the exact same time would be extremely difficult.  I can't believe you've suffered a house fire in your life!  That's awful!  I'm glad you were ok.  So chiming in on this gender talk (I feel so left out because I'm like the only person on all of the boards I think who hasn't done testing lol), I definitely would want to know sex.  I don't know that I'd want to know it at the embryo stage, but once you can find out during pregnancy (what is it, week 16 or something?) I want to know.  I'm such a planner.

AFM, the wedding was alright, thank you ladies.  I did enjoy my new outfit.  I had two glasses of wine the whole night, so I did behave.  I did some dancing with my girlfriends.  I have been so tired lately!  I don't know if I'm behind on sleep or if it's the PIO or both.  Speaking of PIO, it had been going so well... Wait for it... Today my right ass cheek is KILLING me.  But I blame DH.  So I've been doing the shots myself since I started on Wednesday because I want to do them in the morning and DH is already at work when I want to do them.  Ok, no problem.  They've been going pretty well for me.  Well I've decided that I want him to do them on weekends.  I think it's important for him to still be a part of this process, since his part was over a year ago (giving his sample for my ER).  Well I think I told you what a baby he is about doing it for me.  Saturday went fine.  He put the needle in quick as he should, but I told him just to make sure once it's in the whole way that he doesn't jam it into me... He has a tendency to push the plastic of the syringe into my skin (after the needle is already inserted the whole way) as he's pressing the plunger to inject the med.  But I wasn't sore at all.  Today... Totally different story!  He puts in the needle at a snail speed!  It hurt like a MTHFR!  I said put it in fast!!! (That sounded dirty didn't it? :D )  He said you told me not to jam it in!  I said you have to put the needle in fast, that's not what I meant!!!!!  So needless to say, my ass has been sore all day from his slowpoke technique.  But if I complain about it, he'll say fine then I'm not doing it anymore... Which is what he wants, so I'm not having it lol.  I want him to be reminded of what I'm going through daily. o:)

Well I guess I am heading to bed.  I am super tired, but am thinking I will have a restless night in anticipation of tomorrow.  I am getting nervous.  I hope the fluid is gone and we can proceed with the transfer.  Hopefully the PIO will have helped to get rid of it like the nurse mentioned.

  • @cashewchicken and @slmurphy12 Thanks so much ladies! I just had my US and the tech said things look "perfect." I hate when they use that word haha. But I am thrilled! So now I have to wait... My transfer isn't for another almost 2 hrs! I should've brought a book, I don't know what I was thinking lol. I was too nervous and focused on getting here haha. I could leave and come back, but I'm not super familiar with the area (I live 45 min away) to go do anything so I'll just chill here. Feel free to post so I can reply, to give me something to do lol.

  • Good luck today @joneser1281!
  • @joneser1281 eeeek I just saw this!!! You're prob already done! I'm stuck at work haha I hope all went well stick little embie
  • Hello all, so I will make a general comment. Yes I am a firm believer in asking questions. You are paying for a service as all the questions you want. Do not be shy or afraid. DH and I ask so much that our RE now will schedule a session with us to go over everything step by step and what to expect. But also my clinic is very good.

I'm excited and happy for all the good news and yes I have also heard FET is the best my RE will prefer to do that only unless someone insists on a fresh one. He says at least we give your body a little time to rest before we start again.

Our transfer is this Friday. I can't wait. I'm so excited and the PIO hurts, I should have been warned and now I'm so tired almost wanting to take a nap all the time.

I'm sending prayers up for evryone and hope we all keep getting good news.
  • @joneser1281:  Sending you so many good thoughts and prayers!!  Let us know how it goes and what your plans are post-transfer!  I hear laughing post-transfer is recommended, so watch lots of funny shows -- I recommend VEEP!

Both married for the first time in our 40s; went straight to IVF after multiple fibroid surgeries
    (2/17) ER: #1:  agonist/antagonist protocol: 19 eggs; 8 mature; 13 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable)
    (4/17) ER: #2: same protocol but stimmed an extra 2 days:  16 eggs; 10 mature (5 more matured in lab); 13 fertilized; 2 6-day blasts (5AA & 6BA) & 2 7-day blasts (6BA & 5BB):  only 1 Day 6 6BA tested normal!
    FET on 7/10/17
    Beta on 7/21/17:  Negative:(
    (8/17) ER #3:  9 eggs; 6 mature; 3 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable)
Developed severe complications (abdominal bleeding) following egg retrieval which required hospitalization, transfusion & emergency surgery.  Done with IVF.
  • @joneser1281i hope today went great!

  • My update. After a slight drop in Estrogen on Friday ( 118) from 180 on Tuesday, they increased my dose and today it was 252. I started Endometrin 3 x day on Saturday and my P4 was 3.8 today. Transfer is confirmed for Thursday!!!

My WBC count was up to 52 on Friday. Keeping it under 60 is the goal. Normal is 7-10 but we are taking Neupogen to increase it for immune issues.

I woke uo up this morning feeling so bloated!!! However I can confirm that the Emdometrin induced sexy dreams and waking up having an orgasm def happens ;) sadly that was the best sex Ive had in 6 months lol

From your lips to God's ears @slmurphy12! <3

Welcome @roadtobaby!  How exciting that your transfer is this week too!

@angelbea Thank you so much!  Yes!  I have heard watching funny shows is a good idea!  Thank you for the recommendation... Keep em coming! <3

Thank you @Ash_SE! <3 I'm glad they upped your meds for you and now your level is on track.  You are up next this week! ;)  OMG, is that true about the sexy dreams for Endometrin?  I took it last summer for my fresh transfer and totally woke up to/with a big O one morning!  I thought it was just the erotic 50 shadesish fiction I was reading at the time (to help the baby-making mood lol) working overtime lol. :D

    Thank you @Holls214! <3

Thank you so much for the well wishes this morning ladies!  I can't tell you how much it meant (as I was a nervous wreck) to know that you all were thinking of me and sending good vibes my way. <3

TW... I am officially PUPO!  What a rollercoaster I feel like I've been on.  Last night I didn't sleep well at all.  I had so many nightmares about today!  I kept dreaming I was at work and that I couldn't get to my appointment on time... Or that I forgot to put in that I needed the day off.  Or for whatever reason, they wouldn't/couldn't do the transfer.  So crazy!  I had my US at 9 AM and was told the fluid was gone and that everything looked good for transfer.  I had arrived with kind of a full bladder (because I wasn't sure if they expected me to have drank or not because I had the regular US first) so I was able to empty it and it still filled up after that for transfer!  I had to wait a long time because my transfer wasn't until 11:15.  My lining was at 13 today... That made me happy because it had stayed at 11 the last two appointments.

There are 3 REs at my clinic and I've had 2 of them already for transfers and today I had the third one.  I told her I think she's my good luck charm haha.  She did my ER last summer, so I feel we've come full circle haha.  Hey whatever helps the positive thinking, right?  Unfortunately we lost an embryo in the thaw.  :(   That was quite a bummer, as I was not expecting that to happen.  After transferring today, we have 4 left.  I guess we are still lucky, but that's still tough news.  I did not lay at all after the transfer.  My clinic leaves it up to you... You can get right up, or you can lay for up to 15 minutes.  They say research does not show that one method works out better than the other.  Well, I've done both.  I got right up after my fresh transfer last summer and I laid for a while after my first FET in fall.  I like patterns, so I got right up today lol.  Plus I had been there for hours already, I was ready to leave.

As for PT instructions, my clinic doesn't have too many.  They believe the uterus is well protected by the pelvic bones, so your position and activities are unlikely to influence whether the embryos will implant normally.  They don't advise complete bed rest because they don't consider it a normal position and believe it could compromise blood flow.  I can resume normal activities.  I'm to avoid overly strenuous or high-impact activities (there go my workouts!).  I can resume low-impact exercises that I am conditioned to.  I can have sex if I want to and if it's not uncomfortable.  So what did I do after leaving the clinic?  I went shopping at Target!  Visiting one of my happy places is sure to help right?  Haha.  I had shopping for birthday gifts that needed done.  I was there... I hit 3 other stores that I needed to.  Then I went to my mom's for lunch.  Comfort food from mom should help too right?  Haha.  I came home and did some laundry.  Now I'm chilling on the couch for a bit, watching tv.  I'm going to start dinner in a few.  DH is on his way home from work.

Beta is next Wednesday... Pleeeeeeease stick around embryoooooo! <3

  • joneser1281:  Wow -- what a day!  I'm so sorry that you lost one in the thaw -- (ugh - that makes me nervous, as I only have one ) --they are all so precious, I know:(  But it sounds like your transfer went really well and you are relaxed and in good spirits!  I think that is the most important thing, actually:)  Keep us updated on how you pass the time during this 2WW!  My ER recommends modified bed rest for 72 hours afterwards (which I don't really agree with, so I'll probably be getting up and moving more than expected), but I'm going to just watch funny movies and read a bunch for those 2 days.  I'll probably get sucked into some sort of Bravo reality show binge watching marathon.  Do you plan to test prior to your beta?

afm, I had my final u/s today and my lining is "perfect" at 12 mm with the triple-stripe so we are all set for a Monday, July 10 transfer!  At first she scheduled it for July 11 and I was super bummed, as Monday is my DH's only day off, so he would have to miss it.  But she was able to move a few things around and reschedule to the 10th!  So everything seems to be working out....hopefully a sign that it is all meant to be.

    Happy 4th to you all!

@joneser1281 - Congrats on being PUPO! Sounds like you had a great day! Glad you were able to do some fun things! Sorry you lost an embryo in the thaw, but glad you still have several others on ice. Fingers are crossed for your beta!

@roadtobaby - Good luck on Friday!

@angelbea - Glad your DH can go to the transfer on Monday!

I think it is so interesting that clinics recommend different things regarding activity after transfer. My clinic says 48 hours of mandatory limited activity afterwards, and they say avoid strenuous exercise until after your pregnancy test (basically everything but walking), but I don't know if there is a certain time when you can go back to exercising like you normally would. I feel like I am going to be nervous until I see a heartbeat on an ultrasound!

    Me: 31 DH: 31

    Married: June 2012

    TTC: December 2015

    DX: MFI

    IVF #1: March 2017- 16R, 12F, 4 blasts, 2 PGS normal (3BB & 3CB)

    IVF #2: May 2017- 19R, 17F, 6 blasts, 1 PGS normal (5CC)

    FET#1: July 2017- BFP!

  • I agree it's interesting how REs are so different about activity after the transfer. Mine has 72 hours of bedrest and then no exercise or sex until after your first beta.

I'm kind of dreading the bedrest, but hopefully can find enough to do to keep entertained. My little Chihuahua hurt his back and is on a few weeks of bed rest now, which basically means I am as well when home because he won't sit still if I'm up and around. So looks like July will just be a really lazy month for me. Lol.
  • Am I really next? Scary lol!

yeah I haven't even asked my clinics guidelines. I plan to take off Friday and then chill over the weekend. I'll be in the recliner and chilling low stress. I have some appointments at the doctor on Saturday and Monday after transfer to check blood levels.

  • joneser1281 hey!!!  ugh couldn't log on and had to wait till I got home to come check in on you!  YAY!!!  You are officially PUPO!!!! whoo hooooooo!!!!  Sending you all the sticky vibes i the world!!!  Hoping your bean is getting all comfy cozy in there!!  Sounds like you handled your transfer like a champ!! (insert running like rocky here :)  I'm surprised you had to wait 2hrs that wouldve made me more nervous for sure glad you were able to deal!  Sucks you lost one in the thaw!  Was that the original one they were planning on transferring?  I'm gonna take it as a good sign and that it wasn't meant to be and the one you have now is the fighter that wanted in!  I'm keeping on the dirty train for you  :D  This is why this process is so terrifying and still makes me not know what the hell i'm doing.  At 3am I realized I didn't take my meds so regardless of when I go to the clinic it will be interesting to see what my levels are even at.  I'm actually amazed at how well behaved u were at the wedding, for sure I figure you wouldve had a bottle on your own ;)  Anyone see you sneaking your estrace?  Hope your ass is feeling better, I love that your forcing DH to be apart of the madness no matter how much pain it causes you, you're a trooper for sure!!
You have everything planned, pineapple core, nuts?  acupuncture?  What are you trying this cycle!  And love target too!  Spend way too much so i'm really not allowed to go alone anymore  :D

MMD1986 I actually LOVE the mindy project and was sad that fox passed on it...its the only reason I even thought about getting hulu!  It was one of those shows I came across by accident way back and when and got sucked in!

angelbea thrilled everything is progressing nicely for you - yay 7/10, its going to be a great day!!

@Ash_SE sexy dreams where do i get this pill ;)  its hilarious how non sexy TTC has become, I feel like a born again virgin!  I'm still looking into the immune testing as my RE wont do it and its 3k and takes 6wks to get results, seriously WTH!!  I still dont know what to do!

AFM:  I really popped in to wish jones well - and I still dont know what I'm doing, sent my RE an email, I'm sure she'll be delighted to discuss more options with me on wed.  Happy 4th y'all.

  • @hopeful_mom that stinks about the immune testing. Is that through the Kwak Kim office in Chicago? I don't remember how close you are to her in Chicago but she does consults and will run everything for you and takes BCBS and other insurance. She is an RI amd doesn't do RE services but consults during your cycle and doesn't need your RE to agree. She prescribes the meds you need.

  • I hope you are all having a lovely Fourth of July!!! I'm stuck at work again lol

I have a question about oral estrogen. I feel super "full" like bloated with back pain almost like I could get my period. Has anyone else ever felt like this?! Normally I have NO side affects with these meds

I am new to boards and I am sorry for cutting in but after 5 failed ivfs, I think it may be time to lean on others for support (especially those going through this at the same time). I had my transfer of 2 blasts yesterday. One got stuck in the catheter so I am hoping that will be my lucky one!

@joneser1281 It looks like we are on the same timing!  Unfortunately my RE waits a full 14 days to do the beta so I will have to sneak in some hpts.

Happy 4th to everyone!! I hope you are all relaxing today. My RE has me on bed rest for the day so no fireworks that aren't on tv.
  • @Holls214 Thank you! <3

@angelbea I know, I was thinking of that very same thing.  I know we are fortunate to have 4 more embryos and others aren't that lucky.  While it was a disappointment to lose one, it could have been total devastation had it been our only one.  You have your golden embie though!  That thing is certified gold and going to stick!  You've also had testing, which we have not.  So I'm always fearful that all of ours are abnormal or something.  The RE did tell me the one that didn't make it was one of the embryos created through conventional IVF.  We've transferred both.  I think our fresh transfer was one from ICSI... I think maybe the FET in the fall was conventional IVF?  Then the one we did transfer yesterday was ICSI.

Fortunately, we have things going on in the next week or so, so I'm hoping time before beta will pass quickly.  Today is the 4th, so we'll have things to do... Tomorrow is my mom's bday so we'll get together with family for that... Thursday I am hoping to have a wine night (cue the pretend drinking!) and Friday I'll be getting things ready for the annual summer party that we have, which is on Saturday.  Sunday we have a bday party to attend... So I just need plans for Monday and Tuesday lol.  I am not sure about testing before beta.  I have done it for both of my previous transfers and got negative results both times... Then had positive betas both times.  I feel like it's so completely inaccurate to test beforehand and gives such anxiety.  I only used those cheap internet strip kinds though, so maybe a more expensive brand would work better.  I'm hoping to not cave in haha.  Yay for your perfect lining and that DH can attend the transfer!

Thank you @mtele! <3  I'm glad you brought up working out stuff, because I am struggling with that right now.  I am one of those people who "needs" to work out.  Not only do I want to be in shape, it's necessary to relieve my stress.  I can tell my anxiety is up right now because I'm waking up several times at night and having a hard time falling back to sleep, despite being exhausted.  After a workout I only feel sated if I'm dripping in sweat and exhausted.  Not exactly going to work nowadays.  Today I put on one of my P90X3 workouts and super-modified it.  I didn't allow myself to break a sweat... I took a bunch of breaks... I did moves slowly and without weights... Or I used 5 lb weights instead of my usual 10 lbs.  Of course I was second guessing the whole time.  Am I doing too much?  Or am I going too easy and could possibly do a little more?  It's hard to not go full blast because my body is used to it.  It's just so annoying because if I was a "regular" PG woman, I could keep doing the workouts like no big deal.  A friend of my is PG and due in October and she's been doing her usual Crossfit the whole time.  I'm so jealous.  I know nothing is worth possibly jeopardizing this process, it's just frustrating though because I need exercise to control my stress level.  I am definitely going to be nervous until we get through an US.  I have had great betas and still not had success.  It kinda sucks to not even be able to get excited about a positive beta!

@MMD1986 I am totally on the fence about the sex thing.  My clinic says it's fine, but I'm like hmm possible uterine contractions from orgasm... Good for implantation or bad? I don't think I'm going to seek out sex, but if DH makes a move, I may not stop him haha.

@mathgal1025 @Ash_SE You are fortunate to be able to have your levels checked after transfer and before beta.  My clinic doesn't do any checking of levels after transfer, just the beta 9 days later.  When is your beta?  Only 3 more days til your big day! ;)  It sounds like you have a good plan with taking off Friday and having the weekend.  My RE would say that some women take off the rest of the day after transfer and some actually go back to work the same day.  They don't have a preference as to what you do, both are fine choices they say.  I took the rest of the day off for mine in the fall.

@Hopeful_mom lol thanks girl!  Yeah, the one that was lost in the thaw was the one they were originally planning to transfer, so then they had to thaw another.  Both were 4AAs.  Who knows if either were normal though!  :p   Lady, you need to take your meds on time lol.  Set an alarm on your phone, that's what I do.  Every morning at 8 AM I do Estradiol and PIO.  8 PM Estradiol.  I was well-behaved at the wedding wasn't I?  Haha.  I had my 3 little Estradiol pills in a ziploc baggie tucked into my clutch purse.  Fortunately, I happened to have my phone out and in front of me when the alarm for meds time went off, so I could quickly silence it before it made much of a sound.  I just reached into my purse and got the pills in my hand... Looked around the table to make sure no in-laws were paying attention and put them in my mouth.  I think I did a good job at being discreet haha.  My ass is actually sore on both sides now, unfortunately.  The muscles are just sore I guess.  DH had to do my shot today and will do it tomorrow too because he's off... Complained the whole time he had to do it as usual!  Men... This is why we have the babies!  OMG I spend so much at Target too, every time.  Yesterday, $150.  Luckily, I manage the finances so my spending can fly under the radar. ;)  As far as what I'm trying to help my cycle, nothing major really.  I eat a little bit of pineapple each day anyway with my breakfast and lunch so that's not really anything new.  I am trying to keep socks on my feet to keep them warm.  Not sure if that helps anything, but I'm always cold (we keep our AC cranked at home bc the upstairs is hot to sleep if not, but then I freeze downstairs).  I'm always trying to drink a ton of water constantly throughout the day.  My friend that I mentioned before (who had her son through FET and works in the biology/lab field) always tells me to keep hydrated.  A hydrated uterus is a happy uterus lol.  Let us know what your RE has to say this week!

@slmurphy12 I laugh every time you say you're stuck at work again lol.  I am taking the Estradiol orally.  What's your dosage?  I take 6mg/day.  I have not had the symptoms you mentioned.  I think it makes me super hungry and gives me acne... But I haven't had much bloat (no more than usual!) and definitely no back pain.  When did you start taking the meds?  Did these symptoms start at the same time?

Well Happy 4th gals!  I'm need to make a dessert of some sort today... I think I'm doing red, white, and blue puppy chow.  Maybe I'll post a pic later. ;)  I hope you all have a good day of celebrating, whatever you are doing. :)

@cscher2 Welcome!  I'm sorry to hear of your past losses, but you've come to the right place.  It's a great place to gain support... and a ton of knowledge!  I feel like I've learned more here than from any RE.  How exciting we are on the same timeline!  I know, it's strange how some clinics test sooner than others.  I think mine tests earlier because they want to be sure they catch any CPs that might occur... Which makes me happy because I've had several.  Congrats on being PUPO!  Oh goodness... What do they do when one gets stuck in the catheter?  I have always wondered that!  Hopefully yours are snuggling in.  I added you to our spreadsheet, so feel free to enter in any other info you'd like:

  • @joneser1281 My office is sneaky and test on day 8 but don't tell you that they are testing for hcg but rather progesterone and estrogen so they can detect a chemical if it does happen.

When an embryo gets stuck, they just refill the catheter and reinsert it. Last time this happened I had a chemical so hopefully this will stick again but stay around for a healthy 9 months :)

Enjoy the fireworks tonight! And stay safe.
  • @cscher2 I never thought about them being sneaky. I wonder if that what my blood draw is on Monday but it's only 4 days past transfer. They say it's estrogen and progesterone. My beta will be on 9 days past 5 dt. Then they will test again am deathly not stop meds of that is negative though a few days later.

Its getting real real for me. I guess I never thought I'd actually get this far and be PUPO again. I've been PG 5 times but never made it to ultrasound and had lower and lower betas each time so I'm just worried this time I won't even get a positive beta. All of those were natural though and this time I have to tell myself we have a real shot with the meds I'm on.

My lovenox bloodwork came back. 0.19. They want it for PG ladies to be between .2 and .4 where closer to .4 is better. Of course with the holiday, the hematologist isn't there today so I'm gonna have to bug him first thing to ok going to 2 shots a day instead of one to get it right before transfer. I also have to go get bw checked in the morning for E2 and P4. Then I have an Intralipid infusion that takes 3 hours in the afternoon. Then it's transfer day! I'm kinda scared since it's the culmination of years ( our first loss was in 2008) and what if it doesn't work? Ugh

  • @joneser1281 work is such a drag sometimes!! lol I'm a icu nurse so people are there 24/7 365 haha every holiday and every weekend... YUCK! No I usually get these symptoms right before my period... but no bleeding and now I feel fine? I'm on oral estrace 2mg BID (twice a day in nursing terms lol) and before I don't remember having that many issues but I'm literally just so nervous something is going wrong 24/7. That's the issue with being in the medical field is sometimes I think I know too much about the human body and freak myself out. My next appt is Friday at 7am! Also LOVE LOVE LOVE your dessert

@cscher2 good luck! I'm praying all goes well, that's little baby must be nice and plump if he/she torn stuck in the catheter ☺️

  • @joneser1281 yum yum!!! That looks amazing and so patriotic.
TTC 4 years. 7 failed IUI's with either Clomid, Femara and/or Trigger Shots. Started IVF journey in February 2017. Polyps removed in May. 1st IVF Transfer September 26th. BFP. Expected due date 6/14/18. Baby boy born 5/25/18 at 6 lb 9 oz. My bundle of joy.
  • Happy Fourth of July everyone!

@joneser1281- Congrats on your PUPO status!  Shopping sounds like a perfect activity, between resuming your normal activities (like working, I guess) and bed rest!  Maybe I will do the same!  And cooking too! Love your picture of the puppy chow!  Glad I googled it, because I thought it was dog food at first.

Thanks for making the spreadsheet for everyone to fill out! Ah-July is here! Hoping for lots of BFP this month!

I'm still going back and forth on the injection service.  Maybe I'll treat myself to $125 worth of something instead?  $125 is nothing when it comes to IVF, but it's a lot of money for everything else!

@Holls214- 8 normal is amazing! In both genders too!  Hope August 17th comes soon for you.  I know what a pain it is to wait.  My last retrieval was in April, and here I am still waiting for transfer.  My clinic requires an extra cycle of waiting, on top of bcp/lupron/estrogen patch/PIO prep.  July 24th is the day for me.

  • @mtele- Welcome!  Even the poor quality PGS normal embryos have a decent pregnancy rate.  In the paper that was published earlier this year, it was reported that the PGS normal embryo with the highest quality has about ~85% chance of on going pregnancy (> 24 weeks), and the poor quality embryos, about 36%.  Good and average quality embryos are somewhere in the middle, at 62 and 56%, respectively.

I had to wait forever for FET.  Part of that was due to PGS testing, but still.  I had my retrieval on April 21st and my FET is on July 24th.  3 months!

@slmurphy12- Welcome!  Your transfer date is a week ahead of mine!  Your fur babies are adorable.  I'm sorry you had to work this weekend, but I hope you were compensated for it!

@cscher2- Welcome! Congrats on being PUPO!

Moving a few steps closer to transfer!  My 4th of July has been a lazy one.  Just vegging at home.  My neighbors are launching illegal fireworks left and right, maybe I'll go walk around the neighborhood to see all the fireworks (btw, it's not even dark out yet.  Why can't they wait?)

@joneser1281 very interesting creation, so pretty - whats the puppy chow part?  I'm laughing that you're telling me to set an alarm as I told my friends the same thing as she kept forgetting to take certain meds,  This is the first cycle that I keep forgetting i need to take my meds, probably as i'm so on the fence of what to do.

cashewchicken its amazing how different the protocols are, my last ER was in June and if I do the FET is should be the week before you.  This is the first cycle i'm bad at taking my meds at the right time.  Glad you're getting that much closer!  Love your stats on pgs - ur a super star googler, can't say i saw the same stats...yours at least give me some hope!!!

slmurphy12 haha about the plump baby I was thinking the same thing ;)  Having to work holidays suck, but 4th of july on the medical has to be the worst, was it really busy today?  AND I'm on 2mg of estrace as well and I find that i'm exhausted...not sure if its from that but i couldve slept all day today!  You also did the immunology testing right?  you did yours through the hospital?  I felt beter with 1500 which i think u mentioned but to spend double that and wait almost 2 months seems outrageous to me ugh!!

@cscher2 welcome and congrats on pupo!  sounds like u had a fun transfer hopefully its a great story to tell!  You transferred 2pgs?  Do you have any frosties after this?  5 ivf cycles is not fun at all, hoping youve got some super sticky beans getting all comfy cozy in there!

@Ash_SE I'm in NY and dr braverman was the dr they suggested, it just sad the extra process for the testing.  His first available consultation is aug 1st which is after my scheduled transfer AND they said its take 6 WEEKS for results WHAT!!!  :s so that also frustrates me.  I know grading doesn't matter as Ive had too many 5AA come back abnormal BUT that also means I think out of the 4 I have only one is that good of grading and I would hate to transfer that one first and not know that everything is ok with me.  Ive waited so long to get back to being pregnant so I suck it up and wait some more??  I don't know.  I"m annoyed with my current RE for not caring abut this aspect or even suggesting to get the testing.  Yes I know everyone has MC BUT we're all different and I have to say many on the boards and what I've read about didn't have one like me....so its frustrating!
