We bought this picture. We are doing a theme with dogs and sports sort of. I imagine that it will get eclectic, but the bedding, mobile, lamp, and this picture are all dogs and sports. Otherwise, it's basically whatever we think is cute. We have not done anything to the room yet. Still basically an office with some storage. DH is a teacher and starts summer break next week. I believe he will put a lot of time into cleaning and painting once school's out.

@bridge-and-wall I love the dog theme for a little boys room!  

We have the crib and rug already.  Still need a dresser/changing table, a chair and wall art.  Going with light colors.  I personally am not a pink girl, but I fell in love with this rug.  

I'm deciding between these sets of prints for over the crib, any comments?

I fell in love with this bedding and the price. I love all the colors and we are team green. It also has a lot of little arrows so I bought some wood ones for cheap at Hobby Lobby.

If you aren't too into pink, since you already have the rug... I'd definitely go with the Beatrix Potter. They're adorable.

Like @bridge-and-wall's hubby, I'm a teacher and waiting until summer break to really work on the nursery! We are currently clearing crap out of the "study" that we never use so the room can be repurposed for baby

I have gone back and forth on the nursery. I had originally picked out a gender neutral bedding that was blue, coral, and a couple other colors. Then when I realized it completely clashed with the carpet that will be in the nursery I had to change it. The carpet is red, tan and goldish, but I definitely didn't want a red nursery. 

I finally came across this:

I love it and it's Disney! But it's super expensive so I still not sure we will go that route either. 

I'm pretty simple and could just do a tan bedding, not Pooh, but apparently they don't make simple nursery bedding.

This is our inspiration. We have painted the wall and put together crib and one of the dressers not just have to put together the dresser/changing table. I found the crown on Etsy we would put over the crib just have to buy it now and the chandelier I found on Wayfair just have to buy but not sure if we will do chandelier I believe its a little too much lol

We have a super super small room (like a walk in closet) bedroom that we are going to be using for baby's nursery (or baby's storage closet if you will being I think we will have baby sleep in our room with us for the first 6 months tentatively). So my decorating started with that the room is already yellow (yep I know your not suppose to paint the baby's room yellow but we did it a long time ago and I am not repainting) and we wanted some fun pops of color so I have been using this as inspiration. So far in the room we have the crib, a book shelf, a ottoman that will serve as a sitting spot with some accent pillows, a vintage dresser serving as a changing table. I just bought this to use as storage for diapers etc above the changing area.

I also bought drawer organizers for the vintage dresser to organize extras. We also have a tiny closet so bought an extra tension rod to create a 2nd tier for hanging clothes and also got one of those sweater/shoe organizer things for the closet to provide some space to stack onsies. I have sorted out the Newborn and 0-3 months clothes and gotten those washed and put away. The rest of the babies clothes are organized by size in totes that I will be storing in our basement. 

Anyone else working with decorating/organizing a small baby room? Any awesome space savers you have found so far?

@BecauseLove Why are yellow walls a no-no?  I love that mobile- so vibrant!

@bnmort8 omg, the chandelier.  I'm dead.

@dogdisnylovr I love the neutral colors!  Disney stuff can sometimes be overwhelmingly colorful.

Cats*in*space  supposedly the color yellow can agitate baby. One of the many links that talk about wall colors and impacts on kids. Ps. I love the Beatrix Potter* art and that crib of yours is awesome (love the storage below and the modern feel). *We actually are considering naming our kiddo Beatrice.

We are doing a somewhat beachy theme. The walls are seen in first box (coral and teal) and the palm tree square is the fabric I bought for her blanket and will also make a pillow. The back of the blanket will be navy minky. We are using the crib, dresser and changing table from DS which are a dark brown wood. Her name will go above her crib.

Our future nursery is currently yellow (has always been that color and I'm not sure we wlll change it )...why is that a bad color for a nursery?

Gold polka dots and flowers.. light coral wall with gold polka dots. White furniture. This bedset inspired it..



So we painted the wall behind the crib the same light coral color in the flowers.. the really light color. And we plan on using the gold polka dots from the wall stickers.. and it comes with with a white with gold polka dot crib sheet and changing pad cover. My poor husband.

@cats*in*space Beatrice Potter for sure! I love the other prints, too but they are pink and girly, if you're trying not to lean too far that way.

This is my inspiration. We are painting the room this weekend 3 gray walls and a purple wall. I bought some owl decals. 

The color wall we are getting rid of, not sure what the previous owners of this house were thinking

@sugargirl1019 maybe. It is just a lot of orange. I feel like the room glows in the dark!

We are doing a woodland theme for our little guy. My inspiration was this bedding and these pictures from Etsy. We are planning to paint two walls light tan and two walls some shade of orange. We have the tan and the orange is to be selected this weekend. Personally I'd prefer blue or green for the second color, but my husband REALLY wants orange...

@rhubarb7216 before I opened your second spoiler, I was going to suggest foxes to bring in bits of orange would your H be ok with doing the walls blue or green and having bursts of orange throughout? - pillows, curtains, blankets, pictures, etc. Or maybe having one orange wall and 3 of the neutral tans if you find an orange you like but want to subdue it a bit?

idk what your style is, but I personally gravitate towards soothing walls and vibrant accents rather than vibrant walls since they tend to overwhelm/overstimulate ME, so I'm thinking about what I would suggest to my H, not what I'm saying you should or shouldn't say to yours...hope this doesn't come out wrong! with the right tone, orange accent walls could work really well

@BigBadWolf12 I think we're going to have a hard time finding an orange we can agree on! I'm still holding out hope I'll convince him blue or green might be better and we can still work in orange in other ways.

We are doing a vintage car theme for a shared nursery (pray for me). DS is 5 but has co-slept basically his entire life. We are doing a mini crib and twin bed in the room. This baby will we co sleeping with us for a decent amount of time. FI owns a mechanic shop and hot rods & motocycles. I'm thinking gray walls and deep red accents. 

ETA: I love orange walls.

We only really have furniture in there right now. We're moving (aka selling our house) shortly after little lady is born, so we won't be painting or doing any real decorating until we are in our new house.

This is the start of our DD2's room. The wall behind the crib will be a muted gold, the color of the crib sheet. We will put up the valance and wall shelves.

I love all of these nursery ideas! They're all so sweet and different! 

Here is ours so far. Furniture wise we only have the crib so far I can't wait to decorate the walls but I'm waiting until all of the furniture is in there to make sure I have it all spaced out right! I was really irritated that the mobile won't sit right on the side of the crib. The sides have a curve to them so it won't sit perfectly on it...

I posted in our previous nursery inspo thread, but I guess we're going with this one now since we're all making progress.
We are team green, so not really going with a theme. We now have most of the furniture and finally getting some decor.

So love this idea for a book nook. We have a weird corner in the nursery so I just purchased 6 of these only $3.99 each instead of a $20 book shelf like I've seen

Well I finished refinishing our built in in the nursery and it has turned out beautifully! Here are our before and after pics! You can also see the paint color in the pics, the first pic is with natural light so the pink is a bit more subtle but the bottom two are at night with our recessed lights so it's a bit more pink

@bnmort8 We did this in our nursery and I lurve it.
@MrsVP614 I love it. We have that exact same pillow. Our nursery definitely has a more girly feel, even though we ended up with a boy for our first (we were team green). The thing is, though, that the nursery is for you. Baby won't remember any of it. So go boy if you like it!

Here is what we have so far still a lot of work to do and ordering the crown for above crib hopefully this week. Very much princess theme lol matching changing table cover to crib sheet just have to get pad. And yes all pillows and stuff animals will not be in crib with her.
