@kaitlinliz I used nursing pads the entire time I breastfed due to enthusiastic leaking, so 9 months for the first, and a full year for the second. I highly recommend getting washables of some type, things like that add up! I just changed them when they were wet and popped a new pair in. I put the wet ones in a garment bag and tossed the whole thing in the wash with the rest of it all. Babies produce a lot of laundry so I almost always had a load going.

@kaitlinliz Set an alert for it by putting the URL into CamelCamelCamel!! You can see price history and it will tell you when it drops below or to the price you set. FWIW, I saw them even cheaper during the July Target baby clearance, which will happen again in January. Most registry completion discounts will still be active then too, so you can get an additional discount then.

While lurking on one of the other BMBs, I learned about Amazon's open box deals! I had no idea and I've been a faithful Amazon shopper for many years.

When you click on an item, scroll down past "add to cart" and click on "Used and New" and you will see Open Box options. Free shipping. I just ordered the RNP Bassinet which sells new for $60 for $38. I'll let you know the condition when I receive it. The original poster said she's saved hundreds on baby items by using this option.

Yes this! I'm about to order our mattress cuz we have gcs from them. We thankfully used buy buy baby for our registry. I was thinking after doing it that I was dumb cuz the rewards for BRU are better. But after all this I'm so glad I went with my gut and opened with a company I truly love.

Toys r us filed bankruptcy but it keeping their stores open for now. I never finished a registry with them, they're too expensive and the selection is so limited.

In NJ, we have a lot of options close to us, including 2 of each of BRU and BBB within 15ish minutes. BRU is better organized, while BBB has a ton of opened and broken crap that isn't price labeled, just sitting on end caps. I put way more stuff on the BRU registry than BBB, but the majority of it is on Amazon luckily.
