Re: Steals and Deals and Free Stuff

  • @missrekaeagle I saw that email when I was at work! I'm so going to buy stuff...my shower isn't til the end of the month so I was trying to hold off but I feel like that's too good to pass on
  • I just went to Carter's. All of their clearance is an additional 40% off plus most items in the store are 50% off. I bought 33 items (some full outfits) for $133.00! Most of the clothing I bought was $3-$5. Plus, it's double rewards! Their leggings, joggers and body suits are buy 1 get 2 free.

  • I just went on Carter's website after seeing these posts n got 17 pieces for $41! 40% off clearance, buy 1 get 2 free bodysuits, doorbusters, and free shipping! So many sales that end tomorrow! I opted for bigger sizes 12m-18m because my shower is in a few weeks and I doubt people will be buying that big.
  • I'm so nervous to buy anything bigger than 6 months. DS is 2 yrs old and still in 12 month shorts! He's super skinny but tall. I'm afraid if I buy LO anything 9 plus months for the summer, the clothing may not fit her.

  • @cwalker042  I personally would go ahead and purchase separates. Kids always grow up, not down. Eventually, they will fit into the clothes, even if it isn't the entire "suit", the pieces will fit eventually and you'll have gotten your money's worth. It is always really nice to have the larger sizes before you need them. My sons are very different in sizing. DS1 still wears 24mo old pants at 4 yrs old, and DS2 is wearing clothes DS1 wore last year. Every kid is different and having a range of sizes is nice so you aren't scrambling to put clothing on the kiddos.

  • @ariasbabyblog my issue is that we have winter and it's cold. If I were to buy bigger clothes based on the season and the size she should be during that season, she may not fit into them during the correct season. For example, this summer DS has not worn pants at all, only shorts.

  • Kohls is doing clearance now, up to 70% off. But run, mine was literally emptying walls of clothes and putting them on the clearance racks / carting away what was already on clearance racks! (I bet it shows up at Marshalls / TJ Maxx soon!)

  • hey, I checked out all the free baby boxes, and I ordered the noobie one.  Question about the walmart box and the baby einstein book pack thing: I was reading the fine print for both walmart and baby enstein and it seemed like they lock you into a subscription?  does anyone know if this is true?

  • @LoveDontCostAThing I kno the baby Einstein one does which is why I haven't done it. I want it and heard you can opt out once it ships but I never remember to do that. I'm not sure about Walmart but it wouldn't surprise me. Kind of like the honest boxes - the first one of each (essentials and diapers) is free but after that it's like $50/month...no thank you!

Carters pajamas are 50% off today.

For the Baby Einstein it does put you into a subscription, but you can get out after 72 hours. They still send you the welcome box of books. I did it and got out no problems.

  • Managed to get a boba wrap (in excellent used condition) for $10 (sells for $40 on Amazon). It's like doing origami to tie it, but hoping I like. I have friends who really like it and say great things about it, especially for newborns.
  • @dragonfly87-2 great deal! I have friends that love the Boba also! I have a Moby (similar to Boba) from DD that I didn't use but I'm going to give it a shot this time around.

  • I was gonna post about Carter's..here's the ad I found
  • @NYTino24 can I ask what you bought? I have 11 pieces in there and it's coming to $47 with the discounts ..just trying to see what others bought to get great deals
  • @kaitlinliz This was all on clearance. You should be able to see the tags if you zoom in and then take 30% off. I got the onesie sets for a pregnant friend ($5 for 9 onesies) and the overalls, baseball, firetruck stuff for us. Little guy doesn't need much, so I didn't spend enough to use a coupon. We also didn't have our shower yet. Plus, my sister manages a Carter's, so I can ask her to get anything we need at a discount later, although the shipping from her house doesn't usually make it worth it.

Corral colored high chair on Amazon by Cosco...normally $39.99...on sale for $19.41

  • Thank you dragonfly87-2

    I just ordered highchair
  • @NYTino24 definitely going to carter's today!
  • Gah I need to get there and IDK if it'll happen  :'( this is such a busy weekend for us! Today we had friends and family help us with our storage unit, tomorrow we have our hospital tour and other friends are coming to help straighten our house and Monday is labor day and I don't wanna be driving all over lol. It sucks that the closest is 40 mins away so I can't just run there quickly. I wish the online prices were just as good. The discount is but the prices are definitely higher
  • @kaitlinliz If it makes you feel better, I didn't even bother to go over to the Oshkosh part and the store was packed, but there was still a TON of stuff left at mine!
