My UO is so random and bitchy. Sucky mood tonight. I don't find really chubby babies cute. I love the little baby fat, but roll upon roll freaks me out. I don't know why either. It literally freaks me though. Maybe all the dents freak out my trypophobia.
LOL! I like chubby babies, but I always wondered if they were difficult to bathe.
Haha the answer is yes. DD weighed 20lbs at 6 months and we had to take extra care to get into all of what we called her "crevasses" when we bathed her. In summer she got rashes in her fat rolls where her sweat would accumulate if we weren't all over it at bath time.
She's about to turn 2 now and is about 30 lbs so she's not a chubster anymore. For the record, she gained 12.5lbs in the first 6 months and then only 10 lbs in the next 18 months haha.
I can't decide if I should laugh, or feel bad about rashes in wrinkles. Poor baby. DD only weighed 18 lbs at her 12 mo check, but I think she's starting to catch up with average sized kids now that she's pushing 2.
I want the fattest baby!!! Fat babies make me happy!!!
Same!!!! Chubby babies are my weakness! My appetite has been through the roof lately and I'm low key hoping that it's because baby is padding himself with lots of fat. :-)
@Wino0920 My son was so long and lean and didn't have chubby baby cheeks. I'm not gonna lie, I longed for some big ole round cheeks on him. This little one looks "cheekier" and I am so excited.
Seeing the latest thread reminded me, I hate the word mommy as a descriptor. It's fine when kids are calling me that, but I hate it as an adjective. "My mommy friends," "join our mommy group." It sounds so juvenile and little kiddish, probably because it's a little kid word!!! "My friends who have children," "join our mom/parenting group," etc. just sounds so much better.

Me too. Dd is not even allowed to call me mommy. I am mama and I guess I can put up with mom when the day comes. Even dd gets irritated when people ask about her "mommy" she says I don't have one she is a mama. Lol

My FIL still refers to his wife as "Mommy" when speaking to his 3 adult children. DH didn't believe me at first when I pointed it out, I guess because he's so accustomed to it. He'll literally say things like "mommy and I are going out for dinner tonight".
On on the opposite spectrum, he still calls her "Mrs Lasname" when talking to me, even though I always call her by her first name.

My parents both do this! It drives me crazy. Maybe they haven't noticed that I switched to calling them "mom" and "dad" twenty years ago? Seems like something they should have noticed by now.
