I don't mind people saying "Are you going to try for a girl?" or similar now that we're going to have 2 boys.  My answer is Yes! And if I end up with all boys then I'm meant to be a boy momma and that's cool too!

@ForwardnBackward we just found out yesterday that we are having a 2nd girl, and we've maybe told 6 people so far. 2 of them already said things along the line of "now you're going to have a third to try for a boy." It's funny because I really wanted a 2nd girl. I try not to let it bug me, and just respond that DH is set on being done (the truth).

I agree with @ForwardnBackward . While we don't *need* a boy to complete our family, id like to experience it atleast once and yes it was in my mind conceiving this one. But another girl would be totally awesome too. Maybe not for DHs wallet, but for the girls sister bond. 

i always have an UO earlier in the week and can never remember to write it down so I don't forget. Guess who forgot.

@PizzaMonster3 I don't mind family and friends. Random strangers I have never seen in my life? GTF away from my personal space.

That could be the missing link. I've only recently started wearing bump accentuating clothes rather than bump hiding clothes.

@PizzaMonster3 yeah i don't think i mind ppl reaching out and touching me either. I've only had like 2 ppl do it and one was my dad and the other a good friend. I will say i was surprised and didn't expect them to do that but didn't feel angry or upset by it.... if a total stranger does it or someone I'm not close with... I'm just gonna reach out and touch their tummies too

I go to target sometimes because the smell of the store and walking around aimlessly lowers my stress levels. Target is a happy zone. Admit it.

Right now the touching bothers me a little bit because LO is super low still, my CNM could barely find my uterus a few weeks back, so most of my belly is my organs/fat being pushed up. Still very squishy. So when people are touching it, it's fat they're touching, not the baby and it makes me feel a bit self-conscious. But as long as it's someone I know I don't say anything, and I don't think I'll mind once it's a proper bump. 

If if a stranger EVER tries to touch me I will say something sharp to them.

Bahaha yes! Baby is so so low that my "bump" is all my fat and organs. My gf got a kick out of that when I told her she's not really feeling baby. 

When I lay down, that hard uterus is definitely noticeable as all the flub settles around me

I've only had a few people touch my belly and they were friends and they asked beforehand, which is totally fine with me.   My BIL reaches for it without asking, and that bothers me.  I haven't had a stranger do it yet, but maybe my RBF deters that?

According to a conversation in a previous thread, this is probably an UO....I think thongs are uncomfortable and worst thing ever.  Butt floss is not my thing.  More power to you if it is.

i think that is a fine outlook to have, the problem i have with that is people. My SIL did this, and it was so hawkward when she announced on FB she was having her 4th boy. it was 5 paragraphs long of defensive banter because she had spent the past 9 years rambling on about how she NEEDED A GIRL. i think it is fine to "hope" for a certain sex, but just have the understanding that you get what you get and it is perfect. which is what you are saying i think haha.

re: belly touching, it's much less weird for me when I'm bigger and I know the person (duh). I've had some customers do it already and it was a little creepy even though I know their intentions were good.

@Brambles23 I know so many people who work out in thongs! Blows my mind. I'm happy lifting in my granny panties thank you very much 

UO, I routinely swear in in front of my 3 year old. He hasn't repeated them yet, but I don't even feel bad. Oops.

@lola4411 right?!  I'm sorry, I need full coverage when I lift.  Also, doubleunders make me pee so I need some sort if protection or else I'll be unintentionally marking my territory.

i don't get offended when someone without kids offers me unsolicited parenting advice and/or posts parenting memes about "kids these days" or "what to feed/give your kid" i laugh in my head and say "just you wait" whilst i smile and nod in their direction, and then make a mental note to stalk the shiz out of them when they have kids to see how "perfectly" they parent.

i like to go to the beach a couple times a year. but generally speaking pools are better than the beach.

I don't think a family with one boy and one girl is the "perfect family". I've heard this multiple times since we found out LO is a boy and know DD. Even my midwife said "now you'll have the perfect little family"! My family would've been perfect with another girl too. 

+1 to thongs not being super comfy, even though I wear them all the time. But when working out, a huge no no! Full butt coverage undergarments only!

@carries2018 +1 to loving beaches but pools being better. No sand stuck in ridiculous places for days. But I do love me some crashing waves and making sand castles.

Agreed with the no butt floss undies.

And belly touching doesn't really bother me if it's someone I'm close to. Especially when I start having more movement. When I was pregnant with DS I used to sit on the couch and my mom and sister would both have their hands on my belly to feel him roll around, lol. MIL and FIL aren't touchy feely at all so I don't have to worry about that either.

Yea what bugs me is that people assume we wanted a boy and would feel the need to try again for a boy. Like that's fine if you personally feel that way about your own family, but I'm perfectly happy with 2 girls.

And yes, although I was hoping for another girl, I would have been thrilled with a boy, too. Like you said, you get what you get, and it'll be perfect for your family.

A huge +1 to not touching my belly!! DH and DD get a pass obviously. Even my mom, dad and brother. Anyone else, including in-laws, you touch my belly you're taking your life in your hands. I. Hate. It.

i dont understand how people can leave a sink full of dishes after a meal. i have a lot of issues with kitchens bc of how my mother keeps hers. i am to the point i can't even eat until my sink is clean. i get letting a dish soak. leaving bottles so you can wash a few at a time. but letting stuff pile up gives me anxiety.

I don't mind people touching my "bump" even if it is mostly just fat and organs moved around at this point. Unless they are are strangers, in which case, get away!

if we only wanted 2, i would want them both to be the same sex. my sisters are my best friends, and H's brother is his best friend. but now the pressure is on to make sure i raise the girls to like each other not resent/hate each other haha.

I don't like anyone touching my stomach, I just think it's weird and can't fathom walking up to a pregnant lady and touching her belly. I would even ask my sister before I did that. One of my co workers came up and rubbed my belly last week and I just told her she was touching my fat not a baby.

Once my bump is actually legit and not squishy anymore I don't mind people I know touching it. I don't think a complete stranger has ever tried to.

My UO is I don't care if my kids have names that "match." My son has a nature name (spoiler alert: the baby names board hated it) and my daughter will probably be named after my grandmother, so more traditional.

Related: when I hear about people who have 4+ kids whose names all have 5 letters and rhyme and start and end with the same letter I'm like "wow that's impressive/why would you do that to yourselves?"

I can't understand wearing thongs while working out. I do miss wearing them though because I felt sexier, even with panty liners. but alas, hemmorhoids have put a cabosh to that.

I cant stand belly touching. I'm even uncomfortable when DH does it, but he obviously gets a pass. Drives me nuts when my mom does it. I just am not a touchy feely person and like my personal space. DH and I barely even cuddle

I hated the comments about having a "perfect family and now you can be done" when we had DD and then DS. Shut up, it's none of your business and you're an asshole for suggesting my family wouldn't be perfect if I had two of the same sex

@carries2018 Well according to the baby name board my kid is screwed for life bc he has a gender neutral name (on top of being naturey!), so I don't get any points either. Let's live in baby name exile together.

I don't understand people getting all worked up over celebrity deaths. It's sad, and I get that, but when people are posting about how "devastating" it is I just can't get behind it. Sure, it's devastating for their family, but not for you, music fan. Maybe I've just lost too many people in my life so I can't imagine getting super down over someone I didn't even know.

I'm picky about them for myself. If they don't have good flow with First, Middle, Last or might have weird initials or nicknames or are too rhyme-y I cross them off my list. This narrows it down but my taste is wide ranging after that so picking a name shouldn't be this hard!

I don't really care what other people choose, but I do tend to side-eye people who choose unique spellings because a name is too popular. Most of the time when your child's name is given it's spoken. So it doesn't matter if it's super specially spelled Aydon or Aiden. Because when they are spoken they are the same name and the only thing you are doing is making your child spell his name every single time it's given.
