My due date has changed back and forth a couple of time I am so confused! At first it was October 3rd (i immediately thought of mean girls.. hehe) but then when they measured baby's neck and did all those tests, they said I was measuring to be due October 9th. Then when I had my AS appointment this week, I asked the doctor (hes a special doc that does all the measuring.. I'm not sure why they do it this way) about the date and he thinks to seem its the 3rd! I see my regular doctor on Monday so I'm going to ask her.
Someone tell me when I'm freaking due! I'm sticking with the 9th because I'm sure she wont be on time

My cousins baby mama messaged me last night - she has a 20 month old little boy - after seeing we're having a boy. She offered me ALL of his clothes, NB-12 month sizes, along with Dr. Brown bottles, swaddles and bassinet!!! We will pick everything up in our trip to Boise over Memorial Day weekend. I'm so happy and thankful I could cry!!
i am surprised by all these date changes. my doc goes based on LMP, the only time it is changed is at the 8 week u/s if it is measuring ahead/behind by over a week. if it is under a week they leave it based by LMP. from what i understand 1st tri is the only accurate measuring, after that these babies may vary slightly in growing. so moral of the story, NO ONE IS LEAVING!
My due date is Oct 1st, baby measured a week and a half ahead at the AS. I don't see them changing my due date because 1. Babies just grow at different rates 2. Some are bigger than others 3. Early US are way more accurate because of those two things, so they'll just go by what the 7 week scan showed
One of the few benefits of IF treatment: no back and forth about due dates If they try to change it at my AS, I will describe in detail for them the day I watched sperm shot up into my uterus via speculum/turkey baster.
At my AS on Tuesday I was 20 weeks exactly. They said baby was measuring 19w3d. My midwife said they only change due dates if there's a difference of 7-10 days. So we're sticking with October 3!
that being said with both DDs i was measuring ahead but only by 3 days so they wouldnt change my date. i changed my date in my head though bc F them! 3 days sooner is 3 days sooner! DD1 came on my LMP due date. ho hum. they were right afterall.
I was going to join September since my dates had my EDD as 9/30 but by the time I got my bfp, that board was already so established. I've tried to participate a couple times but I like it here much better. So y'all are stuck with me. Plus the 7 week scan they put me at 10/1, so it's valid and shit

I'm surprised at all the date changing too, especially if it's just being moved a few days. My practice is the same as @carries2018, they go by LMP and only change the date if it's more than 7 days either way at the 8-10 week scan because that's the most accurate for dating. At my scan I was measuring 3 days ahead and I personally think that's more accurate based on my short cycles and when we DTD that month, so that's what I'm going with in my head even though they won't change it on my chart.
I had my AS yesterday, and the tech said they wouldn't change my due date unless it was different by plus or minus 14 days. That seems like a lot, but she said they try to stick to the first ultrasound unless it's crazy different.

I started asking DH the other day if he'd told some of his closer friends (most don't live close to us right now). Best friend from PA (who, btw, is expecting his 2nd kiddo in September)....nope. Best girl friend....nope.
I'm like....DH. At some point in the near future we're going to have to make this FB official (just because I can't be in pictures at this point). You need to give them a heads up BEFORE that preferably. The thing is, he saw his best girl friend a few weeks after we found out I was pregnant...and she asked if we were going to give DD a sibling....I understood him not telling her at that point, but c'mon dude. It's not that hard to pick up the phone and send a quick text or make a quick call. Heck, as much as his family has been talking about it, it's likely they all already know anyway...

We have a Cardinal nest right outside our kitchen window. Momma Cardinal is starting to look pissed as she sits on her eggs. Equivalent of 40+ weeks and "Get this baby out"?

I'm obviously not supposed to be in October either! I didn't know doctors changed EDDs after the dating scan. I thought that was supposed to be the most accurate? Both of my girls measured 1-2 weeks ahead based on various measurements later in the pregnancies, but they kept the EDD the same the whole time, and both still had to be forced out at 39 weeks. DD2 was over 10lbs at 39 weeks... so glad I didn't have to go to 40+ weeks with her.
My doctor won't change the date after the 7-8 week appt no matter how far ahead/behind they measure later. My LO is measuring a week behind. I'm hoping that means she'll be under 8 lbs and just slide right out, not that she'll need any extra time in the oven.
Congrats @natleilynn! While I'm bummed I just spent two hours participating for the sole purpose of hoping I could win and didn't, I'm glad someone here got something out of it

So I'm in my brothers wedding in a couple weeks and just dropped off my bridesmaid dress for a hem. $50!!!! When I expressed my amazement at the high price, she goes "well this isn't china"
