  • @kindbytealikat What are you going to school for? Yay for your project being almost done! Hopefully you get some good relaxing time after that!
@UterusesBeforeDuderuses You may have mentioned (sorry my memory sucks!) where are you going on vacation? Have loads of fun wherever it is!

What are you looking forward to this week? I hope that I get (good) news about a job I just interviews for (I'm not totally confident though, the interview was weird).
What are you dreading? Just lots of waiting going on in my life, which is annoying!
Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week? Keep doing well on not spending on lunches (did another Trader Joes run this weekend to pick up a couple of wraps and salads, and they sound SO yummy!).
GTKY: What is your favorite kind of flower? I'm going to ditto @UterusesBeforeDuderuses: Tulips! I love them!
  • @kindbytealikat What's your project about? Hopefully it'll be done soon!
@UterusesBeforeDuderuses Blech, major house cleaning sucks. Have fun out of town!
@JennyColada I hope you hear back from the interview soon! I totally hear you about all the waiting.

What are you looking forward to this week? We might be going to see Guardians tomorrow after my appointment. We're supposed to go to Magic Kingdom on Thursday and Friday, since they're ending my favorite fireworks show on Thursday night and beginning a new one on Friday. Allegedly the park is expected to hit capacity early in the day, so we'll see if it actually happens.

What are you dreading? Still waiting to hear from HR. I'm going to call him when DH gets home (he wanted to be here when I call for some reason, even though I always get his voice mail).

Have any goals/things you want to get accomplished this week? I want to clean up the house a little more. It isn't too bad right now, there's just stuff everywhere. I'd also like to run to Dollar Tree and get some small baskets so I can create a shelving unit for this collection I have and actually put them on the wall.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of flower? I love sunflowers!

@dreamscapes_ The project is s portfolio dictating my understanding of the nine standards of teaching to show a transfer college what I've done and that the school I was at was adequate for my first two years of credits. Have fun at Disney and hopefully you hear from HR soon.

  • @kindbytealikat - Good luck on the project! I love wildflowers too. My grandmother had a field of them near her house when I was growing up and we would walk down there sometimes and pick some :)
@UterusesBeforeDuderuses - I hope you have fun on your trip!
@JennyColada - I HATE waiting! I am so not patient :( Fingers Crossed for your job interview. Why was it weird?
@dreamscapes_ I want to go to Disney! I hope you have fun :) I hope that HR gets it together soon - that must be so frustrating :(

What are you looking forward to this week? Friday! Today was the Modayiest Monday ever! I also am happy to not have any grad school homework this week :)

What are you dreading? Not too much - I just hope it goes by quickly!

Any goals/things you are hoping to get accomplished this week? I need to clean around the house and get caught back up with laundry.

GTKY: What is your favorite kind of flower? I love flowers! I love wildflowers. When we used to live in Texas I loved it when the blue bonnets would come up. So pretty! I also like daisies and roses :)

  • @JennyColada Mexico!!! I'm so excited! I Hope you hear about the job soon!
    @dreamscapes_ GL with HR!!!
    @catlady2015 GL with your projects!

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses Omg Mexico?! SO jealous!
@glitzandglitter After the "regular" interview, the manager had me so like an Excel/PowerPoint activity thing, and I feel like I didn't do that well (but it's also possible that she just wanted to make sure that I was like "lol Excel wat is that?!" in which case I did fine). So I'm not unsure on how well the interview went. :/
@kindbytealikat Omg that is so exciting! Good for you for graduating in JUST TEN DAYS! WAHOO!

@JennyColada - Hopefully it was just a test to see if you knew the basics. It could have been to weed out people who have no idea how to use it.

ETA: because apparently I can't spell today
  • @catlady2015 They do it every night, so we were able to see it last Thursday, too. Even if we can't get into the park, we'll be able to watch them from one of the monorail resorts. We have our ways. I hope you get your projects done!
@glitzandglitter Come visit, we have passes ;) Yay for no homework this week!
@UterusesBeforeDuderuses Thanks! My husband just saw your screen name and thinks it's an "interesting screen name". He's a dork. He swears it's in a good way.

  • Hahaha @dreamscapes it is from Parks and Rec. Leslie also says "Ovaries before Brovaries" hahaha  :D
  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses Me too!!! DS is in the bath and I'm taking a homework break. The board has been quiet today. And I'm desperately craving a strawberry shortcake sundae from Andys frozen custard

  • I know, why is it so quiet around here today? Normally I have to play major catch up when I get home, but not today!

    Ice cream sounds so good!
  • I had my appointment and then we were out of the house most of the day. Hope everyone had a good day!

No idea how to resize that...my bad!
  • @easttexasmomma - I use tiny pic to resize my pictures. So excited for you to get things started! Good Luck!
  • I don't know about on mobile, but when I post from my laptop, if I hover over the picture, it gives me a border that I can drag and drop to resize it.

  • I love lilies, so I'm 100% ok with having a giant lily in my face.
  • I just got word at work that there is going to be some pretty major changes coming up, including me moving into a new role. That's cool and all but if we do manage to get knocked up in the next few months that could mean trying to learn a bunch of new and more complex sh*t and navigate the lovely waters of early pregnancy and morning sickness. Ladies who have been pregnant before...is pregnancy brain a myth?? Plus the role will come with added guilt if I do need a maternity leave in the next year. Ok, needed to rant that all out. Thanks for listening.
  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses - Pregnancy brain is for real! When I was pregnant with my DD, I forgot so many things and put things in the weirdest places. I once looked for my phone for 30 minutes before realizing it was in my hand.
  • @ChloandCoco noooo I wanted it to be a myth! Lol
  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses it varies from person to person! I know people who did put things in weird places (like keys in a fridge or something to that extent), but then I found that it wasn't as bad for me. My biggest issue was coming up with words. I suddenly felt like my vocabulary became that of a 3rd grader. But I never really put things in weird places, I think I only had that happen once, and I caught myself in the middle of doing it. So there's a little hope!! Lol

  • @CecilB93 Good to know! Thanks for sharing your experience!
  • I think my dog is sick. :( He woke us up every two hours last night with a fit of (I think) reverse sneezing. Happy that we have a vet appointment scheduled (for something else). Zzzzz.
  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses most ppl I know, including myself, pregnancy brain was a really thing. One of the most efficient NP's I ever worked work with became quite scattered. I was was scattered as well and also had the trouble finding words. But that isn't saying you will. I did read an interesting article recently though about the medical reason this happens, and science backs it up.

@JennyColada oh no I hope your dog gets better quickly.

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses- I'm sorry about the shake ups at work :/ I think pregnancy brain is real but mine has never been bad at all. Hopefully yours will be mild like mine was :)
  • Okay, now that I'm on my laptop instead of on mobile...

@UterusesBeforeDuderuses I haven't been pregnant (that I know of), but just about every friend of mine that's had a baby recently has said she had pregnancy brain. I remember reading something recently about the science behind it. Honestly, as far as added guilt... Don't feel guilty. You're building a family.

@JennyColada I hope your dog feels better! <3

  • @glitzandglitter glad to hear yours was mild!
@kindbytealikat and @dreamscapes_ I'm going to have to research the science behind this, I'm now intrigued!
  • Well the pup slept through the night and didn't seem to be as sliffly/reverse-sneezy yesterday during the day, so I think he's feeling better! :D
