Do I need to be on day 3 of fully bleeding to do the bloodwork? My question comes about because this is day 2 of spotting, gradually turning into my normal period and I'm confused whether I should get my blood drawn tomorrow or if I'm supposed to wait until it's full-blown AF. I was supposed to get specific instructions in an email yesterday and didn't get them. I sent an email but haven't received a response yet.
My RE doesn't consider my period to have started until I have full flow (fill a pad or tampon). And I think there's various opinions on this, but he also doesn't count it as CD 1 if it starts after 5 pm - he would count CD 1 as the following day. Hopefully you'll get some clarification from your doc soon! Good luck!

@fivetimesnoluck That's what I thought, thank you for answering. And also what I've read before is that when you have full bleeding by 5pm that's considered your first day of your cycle. If I don't hear anything I will call the advice nurse and ask.
