@carries2018 never said it wasn't. I said for me it never has been and it isn't for everyone. For those that it is, you're not forced to participate. For those that want to...can.

I think the point of people's comments prior is it IS a big deal to many others. So to recognize that and lay off. Especially when a simple Google will tell you that you are well in the normal range.
So, just because something is not a sensitive topic to YOU means it is fine to bring up in any public forum? That's like saying "oh infertility is not a sensitive topic to me so I'll just say whatever I want in this room full of women who have struggled with fertility." Sounds legit.
@carries2018 notice I said, and acknowledged that I know it may be sensitive to some. Again, I wasn't asking if I was in normal range. I shared my numbers to share and hopefully be helpful to someone else. If others wanted to share it's a supportive place to.

Do you even comprehend what you just said? "It's not a sensitive subject to me so I see nothing wrong with what I posted."
Get some perspective, dude.

@TallMomma29 no but I wouldn't open a thread much less participate if I was that hurt by a topic. Weight gain and infertility are very different. I'm just not as sensitive as many others I am noticing. For that I apologize.

It is a sensitive subject for me -- as I posted in the mental health thread, I've struggled with EDs in the past and continue to be a little unhealthily obsessive about my weight. But I think the title of the thread acts as a TW. I'm in a good place right now with the weight thing so I feel good about participating in this discussion, FWIW.
@migdala wow, what a strong person you are for sharing. Thank you so much. I am so happy that you are in a good place right now. I pray and hope for your continued success. I don't know if you watch YouTube, but Anna from SacconeJolys just did a video on her ED with being pregnant with her third and so many people have said how wonderful it was to relate to. Just thought I would mention it if you were interested. Rooting for you!!!

I think weight gain threads can be a dangerous topic. We live in a society where there is so much pressure on the modern day woman. Looks, weight, "hot mom", "mom bod", "getting my body back" etc... all those phrases and topics are constant and social media is flooded with these ideals that just aren't realistic for everyone. Weight is something that can easily be obsessed over, even for those who have never had ED. Imagine the impact of this thread on someone with an ED past. It is unwise to start comparing weight and weight gains without including many other factors into the equation on an open internet pregnancy forum. Discuss your weight with your doctor or nurse. Talk to the women in your family if you really want to but don't do it here.

What gets me is there legit JUST was a rant about this topic in the PG! Which you clearly were able to see. What made this post a good idea?!? Just curious.

as a general rule of thumb, no one should be surprised that a weight gain topic isn't received well by a group of women.... it's typically always a sensitive subject no matter what stage of life someone is in...
