@MommaWalla that's awesome! I was really hoping I'd have more than 1 follicle this cycle! I had another one that looked to be growing, but it stopped at 11. FX for you! I can't wait to start seeing some BFPs this month!
First IUI went well. Husband had 70 million good swimmers and I had 2 mature folicals at day 12 that measured 21 and 23. You would think that one of those 70 million would hit.
I go in next Friday to check progesterone levels then pregnancy test the following Friday.
Second IUI in the books on Tuesday! DH won highest sperm count of the day according to the doc with a whopping 94 mil after wash, he's all perfect as usual! Then just like last time my cervix and uterus didn't want to cooperate with the doc and catheter making the whole experience even more frustrating. Also have had the worst headache since the trigger shot on Monday but really trying not to take any meds. Going to be a long TWW pretending to stay positive...
Well looks like I'm officially in the May IUI group with you ladies Waiting on AF to get here so I can get this month moving along...

My second IUI for this round is tomorrow so progesterone check will be on 5/13 (hoping to go 5/12 to the location that's closer and only open on weekdays) and beta will be on 5/20. Today's ICI was more painful than I remember it ever being so I'm dreading tomorrow but hoping there's a light at the end of this long tunnel one of these months. I've been sick all day from last nights HCG shot so tonight it's resting on the couch...laundry, dishes, etc can wait!!
@20baby17 good luck tomorrow!!! No, I have to wait until AF to do a baseline ultrasound. They like to make sure there are no cysts and get a follicle count before they put you on meds again.

@megmac2010 Thank you so much for the support! I've read it only takes ONE however, I think I would feel the same way. Good luck to you! I'm excited to see some BFPs too! I think it's kind of exciting .... a bit like the lottery in a way. Someone is bound to hit the baby jackpot! As long as you play you'll always have a chance at winning. Hope that doesn't offend anyone, that's just how I see it. I'm also sleep deprived so .... judge me gently.
I trigger tonight @ 10 and then go in for my 1st ever IUI 10am tomorrow and then 9:30am Sunday. I'm nervous, excited and scared. Does it hurt? I had a HSG two months ago and it was the worst pain I've EVER experienced, almost passed out. My cervix is bent backwards so it was difficult to get the catheter in, a "special tool" was used to grab my cervix and pull it straight. I am hoping and praying they don't have to use it tomorrow. Good luck to everyone! Baby dust to all!
@kristimh80 You sound positive which is great and I give you alot of credit for! Those who are positive and don't stress have success faster I truly believe. My doc checks for the same things before starting meds but they will let you do those scans and bloodwork 4 days after a BFN and if all is well you can start 3 days later on another cycle. I've always had to take breaks in between cycles for issues that arose medically but I'm hoping if this one doesn't take that I'll be able to go right back into the next one. (Unless I change docs then I'll have to wait a cycle to start) We shall see!
@MommaWalla not going to lie it may hurt, not the actual sperm going in, but the tools. Even the speculum may hurt if it normally does, but they only leave it in you for about 10 mins and once they get the sperm in they can loosen its grip while it's still in there. So just close your eyes and concentrate on breathing and try not to clench or push or it could push the tools out. You've worked so hard to get to this point in the cycle, you can work through the pain for 10 minutes!!! I thought the HSG was the worst test ever and IUI wasn't as bad. Good luck!!!
does anyone remember if a catheter is used to get the sperm into the uterus?

I originally thought DH and I were going to skip this cycle but decided to give it a try. This past TWW was tortured enough we don't want to wait even longer.
@MommaWalla Best of luck!! I don't find the IUI to hurt at all. The speculum is uncomfortable but it's not there very long. I remember being shocked how fast the IUI procedure itself is.
@20baby17 Feeling like AF is about to be here, so I'm excited to get things moving again! I always feel like the TWW is so long that by this point I'm over it and ready for action of some kind!

After having a hystescopy (worse pain ever) HSG test painful but not as bad. This was a walk in the park. I had some mild cramping when the catheter was placed in. It was so fast tho. I do have wild cramping now which they said was common. It feels a little like ovulation cramps just a little more persistent.
@20baby17 they didnt give me anything I was awake the whole time. It took about 20mins they went in and took xrays and a biopsy of my uterine wall. They found one small pollip but other than that it was fine but it was painful.
@20baby17 Yes, I had progesterone suppositories during the 2ww. Only thing I don't like about them is they make me bloated and have some preg symptoms.

@kristimh80 It is exciting! Yes they gave me the results ..... he apparently had 180mil pre wash ... holy cow! 25% motility which all in all translated to 40 mil. Do you know what "normal" motility is? All this greek is confusing. Lol Have you done a medicated IUI? Did you experience any side effects after you triggered? I'm experiencing bloating and constipation which is very uncommon for me.
@MommaWalla Yes, all my cycles are medicated. I don't remember the trigger itself giving me any side effects, but then again I think all my medication together makes me really bloated and yucky...so it may! I do know my progesterone I take after the IUI for 2 weeks makes me bloated and constipated at times. I'm a big believer in taking fiber supplements daily, so it helps a lot for that.

@MommaWalla Wow, great numbers! I don't even think it matters if 25.8% is low (and I'm not sure if it is or isn't, which is embarrassing since low motility is our problem) because 40 million post wash is FANTASTIC. Our RE wants to see a minimum of 5 million motile post wash, so you'd definitely be way above and beyond. Good luck!
AFM I had my CD4 baseline bloods and ultrasound yesterday for IUI #5. The RE wants to meet with us to discuss next steps if this doesn't work, although I explained that the first three were pre-clomid for DH and that I considered this to be kind of starting over. (It's a different RE in the practice since our primary RE left, so he doesn't know the ins and outs of our journey to date.) So I now have an appointment with him at the end of May.
And in the arena of unnecessary stress, then the office called to say I apparently need to get one of the STD tests done that I'd submitted during our testing panel last July because it's now more than 5 years old. The nurse was saying that we couldn't do this cycle without that test, and that my GYN needed to do it (ha! It takes 3-6 months to get an annual exam appointment with my GYN and my appointment is in July) for my insurance to cover it. I protested quite a bit about this so she planned to talk to my new RE about it and call us back today. So I'm waiting on that call. I am displeased, to say the least. No one said this needed to be redone after the initial tests were done. I want to tell her that I'm pretty certain it's still negative, and that if it were positive, I'd be talking to DH about divorce, not kids.
@bababatty I had my baseline today, so right behind you! Ugh, that's so annyoing that they threw that mess on you last minute! I'd be livid as well considering we pay all this $ and waiting on that 1 test could mess up your cycle this month. FX for you that everything will work itself out!

I have an HSG sometime around the first week of June. Then the next step is IUI.... what happens when you get an IUI? Thanks ladies... I'm 32 and this is so hard for me.
@whitsawyer21 So sorry that you find yourself getting an IUI. I wish all of us could get pregnant easily. I didn't get an HSG but hear those can be pretty painful. IUI for me has been super easy. My husband and I usually go in at the same time. He gives a sample and they clean it. The nurse inserts a speculum. It can be a little uncomfortable but something you've done during a pelvic. They inject the sperm with a long catheter. My last one hit the top of my uterus and that was a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, it's quick and over and then a 2ww! Good luck!

@WhitSawyer21 For my IUI, my husband drops off a sample and hour or so before...they wash / clean and prepare it. The process itself for us is super quick and easy (least to me), most uncomfortable was the speculem, but everything else wasn't bad. Take some tynelol if you can before your HSG, that was probably the most umfortable test I went thru.
@Irisheyes81 Welcome back! I'm on CD 3 today, so not far behind you, I had my baseline this morning. Going on all injectables this cycle instead of a combo, so next ulrasound will be this Friday and possible IUI the end of next week.

Hi! I'm new to this group and wanted to share my experience as well.
I had my first IUI yesterday and everything went well! I had 2 mature follicles both at 21.9mm and a smaller one at 16.5 mm. DH's sperm count was 58 million post wash and 55% motility. Now the 2ww begins!
The only think I noticed different from this cycle is that I didn't get any EWCM during ovulation and usually my boobs would hurt as early as 1DPO, but now I don't feel anything. Just a little bit of cramping.
Me and hubby have no issues and all tests came back normal. Been trying for one year now.
Welcome, @Catherine0927! Congratulations on your IUI! Were you on clomid for this IUI? I noticed on my clomid cycle it dried me right up and I had no CM. My RE didn't seem concerned, though. Good luck!!

@WhitSawyer21 my HSG wasn't bad. The only thing that was uncomfortable was when they started injecting the dye. I just felt a lot of pressure. And it was ridiculously cold in the room

TL;DR I'm annoyed at my RE's office.

Thanks, @bababatty!
I was on 100mg Clomid from CD 4-8, then trigger on CD 15.
HSG test showed no blocked tubes, my lining is good at 12mm, everything seems to be in good shape, so I don't know why I can't get pregnant!
@WhitSawyer21 my HSG wasn't bad. The only thing that was uncomfortable was when they started injecting the dye. I just felt a lot of pressure. And it was ridiculously cold in the room
