Thanks, everyone. Honestly, unless my husband decides to call this weekend, y'all are probably the only people I'll talk to (aside from the kid I tutor on Sundays) until work on Monday. So I really appreciate it. I really do.

@jsnakehole I'm sorry, that is super shitty. I'd def have "words" with MH if he pulled some shit like that, but I don't know your relationship, etc. I hope he sees the error of his ways and changes plans.
@jsnakehole ugh. Just ugh. I'm sorry you're dealing with all that. Your family is making me ragey for you. Vent here all you need hun. I prescribe really good chocolate and really boozy wine for you this weekend. ((Hugs))
@jsnakehole I have minimal plans tomorrow and none for Sunday. If you want to DM over the weekend to vent/have someone to tell about your day, I'm all ears I hate spending weekends alone too, especially when I had a shitty week or I'm mad at DH.

@jsnakehole - Families are ridiculous. I support your decision to take a step back from that and deal with it when you're ready. And I'm grumpy with you about your DH. Mine started this HUGE home improvement project and hasn't finished it and when he's doing a guys weekend it makes me livid because I feel like he should be working on this project he started. Sometimes men have no idea how their decisions affect us. And sometimes they do and are just being jerks. Eye roll. I'm so sorry. Hugs.
@jsnakehole I can imagine how hurt you are by your H and I'm so sorry. That's really shitty of him to do given the circumstances. I can also imagine he misses a lot of people (friends and family) with being away but I definitely think that you should be his #1 priority!! Hopefully after he has some time to reflect on this he changes his plans. In the meantime, we are here for you to vent all you want/need girl.
@jsnakehole Oh FFS. To all of it. You poor thing. I'm so sorry about your mom and your husband and the situation with your family right now. Big hugs to you. Turn your phone off for a couple of hours today if you need to and take some time to be kind to yourself.
I cannot thank everyone enough for the outpouring of love and support. This was definitely a moment that shows how beautiful our community is. I truly appreciate, adore, root for, and pray for each and every one of you.
I spoke to DH and he explained the paperwork process to go to another country in Europe is much quicker than coming to the States, but he's set those wheels in motion too, it'll just take a minute. And the weekend he'll be away, I'm going to a wine festival with a friend so it'll be okay.
I also seem to have a little cold, so that saves me from having to go see my cousin just yet.
My therapist is having a workshop so I'm going there, and then taking myself on a date. There's a cheese restaurant I've wanted to try, so I'm going to get over my fear of looking ridiculous eating in a nice place by myself and have wine and cheese.
Again, thank you so much ladies. I hope you're all having a great weekend.

@jsnakehole I LOVE self dates! Plus, as a prior server AND as a solo-date-r, sometimes you can get extra perks. I always treated my solo diners to a super special experience, and as a solo diner myself I often get special tours of the kitchen or an extra dessert for free. They are some of my favorite experiences! You're going to love it!
andplusalso I totally took myself on a solo date to a Michelin starred restaurant. So EFF the haters.
@jsnakehole I'm glad you told your husband how you feel! A cheese restaurant sounds amazing! Don't worry about being alone, you get to people watch and not have to split the appetizer
