So the Dunk-a-Roos post got me thinking about food I had as a kid.
Does anyone remember the Pop Qwiz, the surprise color popcorn? I have brought it up to many others and they look at me like I am crazy. (sorry for the blurry picture but that is all Google had)
@towntowns I am so so sorry that you are having to go through this. I truly understand how miserable that can be. (Went through it while pregnant with DD.) Lots of internet hugs to you and your baby. I hope everything gets better for you.
@Cats*in*space This is a random craving I got at the beginning of my pregnancy too. @dogdisnylovr I also found them on amazon but the reviews aren't very good.
There are a lot of foods that are discontinued that I still crave and it makes me so sad. I want hot cheetos asteroids and black raspberry avalanche ice cream

I now want all the crazy snacks they don't make any more. Had a sudden craving for Shock Tarts and Crystal Pepsi. Apparently, Shock Tarts still exist with some other name, so maybe I'll try to track them down.

I've been a dirty lurking lurker for the past few days. DH had a meeting with the PA today (after a whole day of appointments, more x-rays, and an MRI) and long story short, they can't rule out a fracture. Meeting with a surgeon tomorrow morning who will look over the MRI and decide if surgery is necessary. I am so tired, I got an extra shot in my Starbucks and I don't even feel bad. This mama is exhausted. Just know I am mentally keeping up with all of you.
Today sucks. I want to eat all the junk food. Even though nothing really sounds good. I'd say I want it to be tomorrow, but that involves another car trip with DS and I DO NOT want to deal with that.
@mrs_tacos oh gosh gushers and fruit roll-ups. Yes. That'll be my goal tomorrow at Target. So I wonder if Target has a dress for a wedding? It's on Saturday and I'm running out of options. It's a casual wedding. I could get a dress and my sugar fix in one run.
My previous BMBs had way more activity and people involved, too. I was hoping to see more people make themselves regulars after we all hit second tri. But the intro/sex/name threads show just how many people are around that have only posted in those threads, you know?

My random of the day: DH and I are going kayaking tomorrow, and I'm SO excited! We have our own kayaks, but due to new jobs/ infant/ moving, etc, last summer, we just didn't have the time. And I was pregnant the previous summer, so my kayaking time was limited. It's been over 1.5 years, and I've missed it a lot. We'll be picnicking with family at a lake nearby, and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous. winning allllll around!
@iheartichi this might be my new all time favorite holiday!!! Pimento cheese for dinner I think
@ColoradoHiker I think it's from SC? But in general it is THE mayo to use in the south. I grew up on Best Foods/ Hellmans and was skeptical but Dukes is far better.
ETA my random for today is that I have a job interview today for a job I'm actually really excited about. And it's where SIL works so the lady interviewing me already knows I'm pregnant which takes off so so so much stress. And if we have more kids in the future they give 10 weeks fully paid maternity leave after you have been there a year! SO fingers crossed!!
@ColoradoHiker yes! We definitely grew up with it and I don't really know anyone from around here that didn't. DH is anti-condiment so he doesn't get it, but he's not from around here. It's so yummy.
@MrsJessS pimento cheese is the best! I've never made it homemade, but I found a brand called My Three Sons that is so good. It's kind of expensive, but there's a white cheddar spicy one that's my favorite! Good luck on your job interview!!

I've totally been lurking this week. I've been sick with a sinus infection and DH has been outta town. So I've been sick and taking care of 3 kids and 2 dogs. Thank goodness 2 of my kids are older and have felt sorry for me so they have been super helpful.
You guys, DH is already talking about / planning for the next LO. Last night he was discussing something he wanted to do in summer 2018 and was all "if everything goes as planned, you will be pregnant again with #2..."
I think someone is a little too excited. We haven't really even discussed when we would start trying for a sibling yet since it took such a ridiculously long time just to get #1.
Ok ladies I need your input, I know this has been discussed on another thread but i am not reviving it... here goes, my friend is throwing me a baby brunch and I told her I wanted the invite to say no gifts. Here is the wording she came up with and I wanted to see if it rubbed anyone the wrong way "lap018 requests your presence as the perfect present" I kind of love it but wanted to feel it out before stamping it on 20 invitations and then offending a bunch of my family and friends!
I'm with @mrs_tacos. Wording is great and doesn't draw too much attention to it. Also, I think some people will give you gifts regardless of what it says because they want to, so I wouldn't stress too much about it!
@lap018 I think it's perfect and honestly can't figure out how anyone would take offense to it. And if they do then they are probably one of those that it wouldn't matter what you say, they would be offended.
