@PNW12RN I can't believe you are still going strong at work, good on you! I gave up at 36 weeks because being on my feet all day was completely exhausting! And your birth day is so close! At 39+5 I am a little envious of all these babies being born and impatiently waiting to go into labour... Sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment, fingers crossed for a good report this weekend.

Hi ladies thanks for all your wishes and messages! Lara was born yesterday via c section - and I am still in awe at the little beauty we now hold in our arms.
the c section went well and I was not too nervous thankfully. But then the moment I heard her scream, it hit me and I started crying. Hubby was sitting next to my head in tears as well. We got a quick cuddle and then she went to nursery with my husband while I was stitched up.
We did our first day with lots of feeding and not much sleep. Miraculously my milk has already come in (I don't even know how that is possible but maybe after all the troubles of pregnancy, the higher powers are going easy on me!). My surgery incision is still a bit painful and I'm not very mobile just yet, but I'm hoping that will improve soon and doctors say I'm healing well. We get to go home on Monday.
I have to say, my birthing experience was just as magical as I imagined it...
Me: 38, DH: 40 living in Asia TTC since March 2015 with known PCOS and MIF IVF in 2015. FET nr 3 in 2016 - BFP. Healthy baby girl born in April 2017. Trying for nr 2
@JaneJane Wow, congratulations! It must be really tough having them in NICU it's great there are no obvious health issues from their early arrival and hope they will be able to come home soon!
@Colleen0516 Sorry to hear about your scan results. Hope the modified bed rest isn't too hard and you have some good books/Netflix/craft projects lined up!
@PNW12RN Good luck with those embryos, it must be very strange going through that when you are almost due!
Edited because I hit post by mistake - stupid clumsy fingers using my phone!
Congratulations @flanners1 so glad it was just as magical as you hoped! Looking forward to that moment and I hope you're right, that I'm next!! Good luck with the recovery, I hope it all goes well!

Congrats @flanners1! Reading your birth story brought tears to my eyes as it does every time I think of first seeing our little girl. I hope your surgical recovery is smooth!
@PNW12RN FX on some great embies! And I don't envy you the two days of long classes but bringing baby home can be a strain on every one so hopefully you'll learn some good coping tools!
@teriulbricht hope your little one makes an appearance soon - the last few weeks are the worst waiting in anticipation!
Our baby girl smiled at me this morning and melted my heart.... worth every missed hour of sleep! 5weeks today! Can't wait for all you ready expectant ladies to hold your sweet babies!

@Colleen0516 I'm so sorry about the scan and the modified bedrest. FWIW your cervix length could mean absolutely nothing, but it's good to take precautions. Your babies look good and that's great!
@flanners1 Congratulations! So glad everything went well and you now get to hold your sweet baby. What an exciting week for our group!
@PNW12RN Wow you're getting so close! Good luck with the embryos and definitely keep us posted. What an exciting time. We took a class called Taking Home Baby also but it was only a 3 hour class and was about infant care. Yours sounds a lot different than ours was. I hope being in class so much isn't too exhausting for you!

@flanners1 Congratulations!! You must have posted that while I was writing my post - didn't mean to ignore you're exciting news!
It's always nice you hear about a good birth experience (natural or otherwise) and so glad your milk came in quickly, hope feeding continues to be straightforward for you guys!
We finished the first day of the Bringing Home Baby workshop, and found it pretty helpful. It is a lot about learning our communication styles and coming up with strategies to deal with stress, etc. It's definitely a relationship strengthening class to make the two of us stronger while also adding person #3 to the family. Also learning about baby's facial/body language cues to figure out what she wants/needs. Day 2 is next Saturday (48 hours before baby arrives!!!)
We found out today that 3 of our embryos made it to blast and have had samples sent for PGS testing. A bit of a bummer to have a small number, but it's more than we had last time around (with my eggs back in 2013), so we're cautiously optimistic. We had a pretty big loss last time, so we are due for a good result (6 of our 8 embryos did not survive to blast/only one of the survivors was PGS normal). Maybe they're all chromosomally normal this go around. Once again, we only need one good one.....
