Thanks for asking, @MMD1986 and @Hopeful_mom!  First two ultrasounds went fine - I seem to be on track/as expected (I tend not to remember the details).  About halfway through stims, added the menopur last night so I'm back to four shots a night for two more nights.  But mostly I'm tired because I take 3mg melatonin during stims.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

Beta is June 6. All embryos made it to freeze so we have 6 in the freezer now.

They were only able to freeze 3. On one hand, three in the freezer is fine and I should be happy, but I had really high hopes when 10 out of 11 fertilized! And a lot of people on here had close to 100% make it from fertilized to blast, so I thought I might get above 5 at least.

The lady who called with the update this AM did point out that the 3 were were "gorgeous" blasts, but whatever, I think she was just trying to make me less sad

The clinic my lab uses takes 2-3 weeks for the PGS results. Ugh. I'm going to go try to forget about all this.

I'm sorry @daisy222! I know its hard to be positive sometimes, but 3 is still a good number especially if the PGS results are normal. I hope you find something fun to pass the time while you wait.

@LadyMillil I hope your beta goes well on the 6th! Sending you good thoughts

daisy222 congrats 3 made it, i'm sorry u didn't get more and are disappointed!  Lets hope these are your troopers and you get them all back.  You are younger and hopefully that will work to your advantage.  I know its frustrating why this happen.  Every cycle is different.  We should have a board for pgs tww...its a tough wait, i kno!

@LadyMillil congrats how exciting so many making it!  How many did you transfer again!  Looking forward to your beta!

AFM: I was about ready to puke, this morning!!  After 6 tries and 3 different nurses my body still didn't want to give any blood this am, did you ever.  They felt terrible but my body just wasn't having it.  I did give bw friday so they will go off of that and my US to make sure i can start stemming today.  I was nervous i would have a cyst or something growing as i felt i was getting some strange zings through the week BUT technically the tech said that things look really good to go.  So yes looking to do hopefully my last cycle of ivf, lucky #7 right   Assuming my PGS results will becoming in the next few days...could've been today if not for the holiday but we know how that goes.  Can't believe how much worse I feel with them getting no blood as opposed to when they get blood.  I gave 30 vials after my MC I felt better that day then I did today....go figure.

Sooooo...my baseline (May 25th) went okay.  Even though I still had a cyst on my left ovary when I arrived to my baseline appointment.  I was pretty annoyed that I was on BCPs for 16 days and they didn't even put a dent in the cyst.  The sonographer counted 7 or 8 follicles on my right ovary and she could only see about 3 on my left ovary because the cyst was in the way of clearly seeing any others.  My blood work at my baseline appointment was less than 5 for Estradiol and 0.11 for Progesterone.

I started my meds this weekend.  On Saturday, May 27th, I started 20 units of Lupron in the morning and another 20 units at night.  On Sunday, May 28th, I started my stims.

AM- 20 units of Lupron and 225 of Gonal-F

PM - 20 units of Lupron and 225 (3 vials) of Menopur.

I have an appointment tomorrow for blood work tomorrow morning and an ultrasound scheduled for Friday.  I really hope these meds are working and every thing is growing they way it's supposed to be.

    @daisy222 Fx for your three!

@Hopeful_mom It seems we're alternating cycles :p. Just had my 3rd monitoring appointment and it's looking like ER will be Saturday or Sunday (yay for saving a PTO day...maybe).  Even though lupron's supposed to be better for synchrony, I have one in the lead at 16 - so it'll be the usual balancing letting others catch up/not losing that one game.  Wil you get your pgs results from your last cycle today?

HI ladies - I was originally coming to complain that i knew the results were ready before my dr yet again....i feel like I haven't been able to breathe since this morning.  2 of the 3 came back normal woo hoo!!!  I'm so over the moon, finally came out on top one cycle!!  quality over quantity is what I always have to remind myself!!

artemis618 hey!!! how many follies are in the running?  16 isn't bad hopefully ur smaller follies will start sucking up the meds now...we need everyone to grow together!!  I was a basket case all morning as the lab called me first with the results again before my office.  Such a roller coaster of emotions i'm having!!  What protocol are u doing this time?

@Hopeful_mom Yay for two more normals!  You're well on your way :). Once again, I tend not to pay too much attention at my appointments - I think they said maybe 8 on the right and 7 on the left, but of course some are much smaller and won't do anything.  The quality over quantity thing concerns me a little bit though - as my AFC was only 8 (8-10 in the running has been pretty normal for me) and I'm not totally convinced I've got enough resources to go 'round :p. This is my first cycle after a full 90 days on all the supplements so maybe that's helping? I suppose we'll see...  Luteal lupron again for me.  I might be the first retrieval for the June group.

That's so nutty that your lab calls you directly.  But I'm glad the news was good :)

artemis618 it actually sounds like you've got a fair amount.  There are woman who produce 40 eggs and they'll be the first to tell you how upsetting it is to not have many make it through.  I think the best is moderate numbers.  You're much better then I, I drive the nurses nuts wanting to know all the stats right away!!  Glad the lupron is working for you...I hated doing the shot 2x a day and that lil needle for the lupron really hurt!!  I give u all the credit inthe world sticking with the 90 days hopefully it worked some magic for u!!  I did acupuncture last cycle so i think for me I need to keep up with it to help make stronger eggs!
My lab called me directly to ask of they are releasing the results to me dr...its so bizarre.  In my world that means ur done testing and having results...obviously yes...do people actually say no?

@Hopeful_mom We'll see...  That must have been a different lupron protocol?  Or maybe just different administration.  I just did 10 units once a day for 11-12 days (starting mid-luteal phase) then went down to 5 units once a day when I started stims on CD2 or 3.  Only done it without OCP since we suspect it'd be too suppressive. I have to say I much prefer the lupron to OCP - the OCP before my first (antagonist) cycle made me feel terrible!  The lupron is actually the second easiest shot for me (the first being Omnitrope, or maybe the Ovidrel).  Re the information, I'm usually more neurotic (about everything), but I think I mostly concede there's not much more that I can do that what they tell me to for these cycles).  I've only been going to acupuncture once a week because I'm running out of insurance coverage for it (I only get 20 sessions per year), so trying to save a few for whenever I actually transfer!

Hmm...I guess it makes sense that it's your medical information, but if it's your doctor's office that ordered it you'd think it'd be okay to disclose? Who knows?

@Hopeful_mom love having me a cycle buddy :) yes, I am pretty much doing the same protocol.  I think if this round fails, I will push for something different, but for now I am still on the Gonal F, Menopur, Cetrotide, Ovidrel train.  I did do the uterine scratch/biopsy prior to starting, so FX that will help.  At this point, I am willing to try anything.  I am sure I'll be seeing you in the June board!  I just saw your earlier post, congrats on two PGS perfect embabies!!

I went in for my cycle day 4 blood work today and I just received a call from my doctor saying that my Estrogen is only at 111 so they are upping my dosage of Gonal-F to 300 daily.  They are hoping that should get things moving a bit quicker so I can be more on schedule.  I was totally hoping I would have better estrogen level since I've already been stimming for 4 days.

ttcndc This is why we do monitoring so its good that they're upping your meds but I think es is suppose to double so hopefully that happens as your nezt appt.

Aera11 its hard to know when to switch it up and I'm glad I did the second cycle to know that the protocol was way worse for me.  I hate tha we have to have such patience through this process but as they say slow and steady wins the race!

artemis618 awesome you get acupuncture covered wow!!!  Not for me so its even more of a thing when I go.  One place I paid almost 1500 for 9 sessions, not cute! I'm glad that since i found another 2 places that are cheaper and even better so i'm glad I shopped around!

I had my CYCLE DAY 6 sonogram today.  The doctor didn't seem pleased with the progress of my follicles but did mention that I have a "Grade A" endometrium lining.  I only had a total of 8 follicles.  On my right side was four that measured 5, 6, 8 and 12.  On my left side there was four that measured 5, 7, 11 and 13.  They asked that I come in again on Sunday to see if they improve.  She mentioned not wanting to lose the largest one which seems to be growing the fastest.

Hopefully I will have better news on Sunday.

ttcndc  hmmmmm not sure Why your RE isn't pleased hopefully the smaller ones will perk up in a few days and catch up.  You do have 3 that are growing together so dont worry about loosing anything just yet!!  Come joing the june IVF board, I know it gets confusing when you start in one month and dont finish until another but a lot of ladies on this thread have finished up their cycles...I started another one why I"m still on the IVF train!  I have monitoring on sunday as well so we shall see where we are at and right now i'm only showing 4 follies so i'm as nervous as hell!  about it!!

MMD1986 thanks i'm actually excited at the thought that i finally will be able to move on and get to a transfer yay!!  hopefully we'll all be bump buddies!

    Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've posted on this thread. I might have mentioned this earlier, but I only check this website at work because my DH blocked it on my home devices (I was spending too much time on IF related websites, haha. It was a needed intervention).

My update is that we had 8 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized eggs of which 4 were frozen at day 5 (though one was pretty crappy grading, surprised they froze it). As I was saying in my TTTC2 post, I'm obviously happy to have any at all... but at the same time, I don't feel terribly secure since half of embies are aneuploid at my age, and I see numerous FETs of even PGS-normal embies that don't work. I dunno. And now it's a two month wait until my transfer in early August. Really tough to have to wait so long, yet again.

@Hopeful_mom - Really happy for you that you got those 2 PGS normals!! Yay!
@artemis - those are pretty great follie numbers! Sounds like you're responding well to the protocol.
@MMD1986 - really happy for your 3 embies!!

@daisy222 : I  hear you about the cycle disappointment. My DH says I should be happy we had any blasts at all... and he's right. But then yeah, there's some point in the cycle where some number is lower than expected, and it's just crushing. In my case it was number of eggs retrieved... I thought for sure we would clear 10 given my estradiol was about ~5000 and they were concerned for OHSS, so I was kind of shocked at the discrepancy. I know a lot of folks who end up with like 8-10 blasts (like my SIL... ooof) and when some part of the cycle was going well, I had this tiny hope that I might be like them. So much for that. But it's true it only takes one embryo.

Yesterday I was reading about women who didn't have any left to freeze, and tons of them had success.  I've also read somewhere about how women with 5-10 eggs retrieved often end up with the same number of embryos as those who had 15-20 retrieved... It's very weird how things work. Who knows.

notamyrtle i'm hysterical laughing you have a block i think my OH is about to do it to me, he hates that all he sees is the bump when he opens my comp.  He jokes about seeing porn instead, nice right  :D  Congrats on your 4, we always want more I think its natural but you are still considered the "young" category so hopefully they are all normal for you!  Unfortunately I've been through this too many times and its true you never know how the numbers will be for you!  I consider myself very lucky that I got my 2 normies these round after my ER was so poor.  2 cycles prior i had more then double at my ER and fertilization and after testing had none...its so heartbreaking!  I'm over the moon getting my 2 back these cycle and just losing one.  When you start doing the math its not fun!  Why do you have to wait for an august transfer?

Thanks @notamyrtle!  I'm all set to trigger tonight for a Sunday AM retrieval.  Good for you for taking a Bump break (even if not entirely voluntary) - I tend to when I'm not in the middle of a cycle too, although I do feel a little guilty not supporting others during those breaks.  Sometimes it's just better for your sanity.  Congrats on your four frosties! Are you waiting on PGS testing now?  Thinking good thoughts for all of them regardless :)

Hey, you guys are awfully nice :) I feel bad I can't be on here more regularly to be supportive!

@Hopeful_mom : That is so funny that your DH is also getting frustrated with your bumping!  Makes me feel less embarrassed. I'm sure my DH would also prefer that I had a porn addiction at this point. He gets flustered when he sees me looking at fertility websites or forums. I know that sounds controlling, but my interneting on fertility issues was definitely out of control, so I actually welcomed the 'parental restrictions' on my devices...

@artemis - I hope your retrieval went well. I see you have 5F. Fingers majorly crossed for them.
