@justsuzie progression is good and yay for the heartbeat! Try not to stress out too much from now until next week. Pick up a book that you love and dive right into it for a good distraction. Fingers crossed for you!!
Me: 33 DH: 34 Married: Oct 2015 TTC #1: Sept 2016 BFP: 10/19/16 ~ blighted ovum ~ D&C 11/23/16 BFP: 3/24/17 DD1 born 12/2/17 TTC #2: July 2018 BFP: 8/26/18 DD2 born 5/16/19
@justsuzie that's great that you heard a heartbeat! Last time it was just the yolk sac right? Try not to fret, I know easier said than done, but we are all keeping FX for you!!
Yes @grochril there was only a yolk sac last time. The heartbeat was low and it looked like just the beginning of an embryo. No distinct head or appendages yet. I am hoping that someone I just had a later fertilization/ implantation. I was temping so I know my O date was dead on.
I had the faintest bit of spotting two days ago and a bit today after a BM. I reached out to the nurse I'll be seeing at my first appointment on 5/4, and she asked me to come in tomorrow for a beta draw. I had an outstanding order from my last cycle that I never used, so I walked over (my PCP works a block away from me) and had it done then. Will get the numbers in the morning.
1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating): I'm 39, DH is 35. This is our second pregnancy. **TW** 1st pregnancy ended in October 2016, at 21 weeks due to full Trisomy 18 (detected at the 20 week US). **/TW** We conceived first time through IUI, naturally this time. So, I'm PGAL, PGAI, and AMA. Zoinks!
2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
I'm okay. Some nausea, some fatigue, a little soreness in my left boob.
3. EDD? How far along are you? 12/16, 5w+6. That's based on my last period.
4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
I'm doing pretty well. I know I just have to hang in there and stay calm and see what happens. I have a song I sing to myself when I get tense.
5. When is your next appointment? Our first doctor's appointment isn't until May 16th. This is so different from last time around, when I had blood tests and ultrasounds throughout the 1st trimester at the infertility clinic. But, I also think it's helpful to me, anxiety wise, because last time the constant checking of this and that made me think about all the things that could be wrong.
6. Rants/raves/whatever: My MIL is desperate for a new grandbaby and was very dramatic about our loss; I know it hit her hard, but it also felt like she was making things about her and making me take care of her when I needed to care for myself and my husband. A couple of months after our loss, MIL was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, she has had radical surgery, and is in the middle of 18 weeks of chemo. Because of this, we see her at least once a week (twice if I/we take her to chemo). Previously, we'd see her about once a month. I'm happy to see her and be a help, as she's a super lady and she's family, BUT I HATE that she watches what I eat and drink like a hawk. I need her to mind her own business, we'll tell her if and when we're ready. "No cocktails tonight?" "I thought the sushi here was your favorite?" Ugh. Back. Off.
7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? A computer game called Stardew Valley. Buy it on Steam. Start your farm. Date some villagers. Go fishing. Mine for ore. Learn to cook. Befriend a wizard. Endlessly fun and distracting.
Great @pandawares! But, can you remind us- how far along are you?

Just wanted to thank you ladies for be interactive and supportive. It seems like on the other threads there is no back and forth conversation so I've been pretty absent in most of them. Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch of ladies that respond to others but soooo many that just post about themselves and don't respond to anyone. Just thankful to have you all.

@NME44 I feel like I need to permanently travel until 6 months. PGAL brain is brutal. I feel anxious at all times. And this makes it more likely I'll lose it so that just feels the feeling.

@pandawares Hugs. I know it's not a cure all or a guarantee but I wish I could just close my eyes and wish the first tri away.
@rainbowwishes5@justsuzie hugs to you ladies, too. I've found that like @lavashiner the busier I keep myself the easier it is to control my thoughts.
AFM, I had my first u/s today and there was a heartbeat. Just barely there but we saw it. The tech didn't really have much to say except that she expects I'm a day or two earlier than my guess of EDD (based on conception date since I haven't had much sex or a period since MC last month) so I must have implanted a day or two late. I'll know more when my OB calls me tomorrow about the results.
