  • @lavashiner there really is a lot of good tv! Not to mention with Netflix, Hulu and Prime you can basically watch whatever you've ever wanted to but didn't have the chance. What are you watching?

  • @flowerpower5838 it's true! Right now I'm watching The Magicians, just finished Girls, and am about to start The Leftovers. I also have Victoria (PBS) on my DVR. And Queen Sugar. I was obsessed with This is Us.

    Do you have any recommendations?
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @lavashiner I just finished up season 2 of The Leftovers and I really liked it. Victoria is on my watchlist as well. If you haven't, I highly recommend Orphan Black. Other shows that I've watched and loved are Downton Abbey, Veep, The Americans, Game of Thrones, The Wire and (it's not for everyone but I am a nerd) Doctor Who. I am two seasons behind on Girls - I need to catch up now that it's finished!

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating): First-time mom. Got pregnant in fall 2016 but miscarried at 8 weeks.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Sort of feeling all the standard things. I'm tired, most foods turn me off, I'm queasy in the morning, my breasts are big and sore, and I get winded soooo easily.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? Dec 6. Today I'm 7 weeks 0 days.

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): Okay. It's hard not to be nervous even though all signs are telling me to relax. I had a great appointment last week where we saw the heartbeat, and my next appointment is in 3 weeks, after which I will feel wayyyyyy better (I wish there was an appt or lab draw between now and then to calm my nerves).

    5. When is your next appointment? Thurs 5/11 just to hear the heartbeat again. Already had the ultrasound last week.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: We have a prime opportunity to tell DH's immediate family the good news at my FIL's birthday dinner coming up on 5/6, which unfortunately just happens to be a few days before our next appt. I really want to tell them then, but am apprehensive given my history. I think I'll make a game time decision a few days before to see how "pregnant" I'm feeling still. I would also POAS or something but I know that a positive can still appear even if your body has stopped producing hormones for a baby (this happened to me last time where I POAS and saw a positive even though I was miscarrying).

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? I go to lunch early so that I can snag a good table in the cafeteria that's sort of hidden from view, and then I watch Netflix on my phone for 45 minutes or so while I eat-- right now I'm watching "Glee" which is a guilty pleasure on its own! But I tuck away and do this because a lot of my coworkers eat in the cafe too and eat with each other and have nice social group lunches. I honestly like having lunch by myself because it's relaxing and the only time of day where I'm alone, but I don't want my coworkers to see me and feel bad for me, or invite me to join them.

  • @PennStateCait Best of luck at your appointment tomorrow!

@peachy13 Sorry you have to make that decision on whether or not to tell your DH's family at the birthday dinner. Is there any way you would be able to push up your appointment to just before the dinner? If that's not possible, I too would do the same thing that you're planning to do- play it by ear and see how you feel.
  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):  MMC at 8 weeks in November, but baby stopped growing at 5 weeks 5 days

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):  Nausea on and off, heartburn, exhausted, and so bloated

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 6 weeks 2 days

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): We saw the heart beat today!  I've also officially made it past my loss milestone so I'm feeling better today.

    5. When is your next appointment? 2 weeks

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? I watch a lot of "bad" reality tv, but I love it
  • @flowerpower5838 I was cranky up to 5ish weeks. I was on bloood watch when I went to the bathroom. The worst feeling ever. GL with betas!

@lavashiner  Is shortness of breath a thing? I have that too. I thought I was just out of shape.

@PennStateCait  someone on another bord helped me with rationalizing things. Having a US apt won't change what has or hasn't happened so just be happy with the feeling of hope. It's hard to swallow I know. I feel the same way before apts! I have an apt tomorrow too where we will hear y heartbeat. I'm tying to stay positive.

@peachy13  I'm a teacher and I eat alone in my room. It's the only thing that keeps me sane during the day. Congrats again on a strong heartbeat.

@blueskies17  congrats on the heartbeat. I have my apt tomorrow. I hope we also hear a strong heartbeat.

@TigerCakes  Another congrats on a heartbeat!!! I can't wait to hear mine tomorrow. And I love bad reality tv too.

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):
Not new, but I goofed in the intro so here are my morbid stats... CP 8/16,Ectopic 9/16, CP last cycle)

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
I get pretty bad nausea in the morning and evening.  Thankfully I am fine during the day.  I have also had a very achy back.  I lean over at work a lot and the top of my back felt like it was on fire.

    3. EDD? How far along are you?
    7 weeks

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
I had a mild panic today when I saw more brown spotting.  My dr checked me out the first time it happened and said everything was fine.  We had just had sex the day before so maybe that caused it.  And the same thing happened again. In my head though I think the complete worst.

    5. When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow!!!  WE WILL HEAR THE HEARTBEAT. I feel like with all the rest of you hearing the HB it's my turn now to join the club.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:
DH can't go tomorrow because he has a final.  I am super bummed.

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure?
I still watch Survivor. I know it's lame but I just love reality tv.
  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): yesterday I was starving and today not one thing sounds appealing. I have a cold on top of everything so I feel extra crappy.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 12/15 5w4d

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): my son passed 10/17, so the 17th of every month is really hard and I'm coming out of the funk I fall into every month around then. My anxiety is quiet today, but I expect it won't last long.

    5. When is your next appointment? May 2. Thy will be the first US and I'm nervous. We haven't had much good luck the last 2 years.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: I never appreciate cold meds until I can't take them

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? Reality tv and CW shows
  • @PennStateCait My first two were pretty low (although more than doubling) so they want to make sure they continue to rise appropriately especially with the past ectopic. Thanks for the DH advice, I may just drop that little white lie tonight.

@justsuzie Yay for tomorrow's appointment! Keep us updated.

@blueskies17 I haven't had a fruit rollup in ages! But for some reason the mention of them really make me crave Gushers...

  • @justsuzie I hope tomorrow is an amazing appointment :)
  • @justsuzie Yay for hearing the heart beat tomorrow! I watch survivor still too.
  • @brittabatwhite  Your walking on ice analogy is spot on.
  • So PGAL brain has got my anxiety reeling. I have my viability scan tomorrow and all I can imagine is doom and gloom.  I have had no cramping or loss of symptoms but I am still so nervous that we won't see a heartbeat. I have been trying to stay positive but then the nerves take over.  I almost passed out from anxiety before my first US to make sure I didn't have another ectopic.  I can't even imagine how I will feel tomorrow.  We have made it the farthest along so far with this pregnancy and I couldn't bear a 4th loss. Just freaking out, don't mind me.  I will go back into the corner and twiddle my fingers.
  • @justsuzie I'm sorry. I know that feeling all to well. I wish I could say something to make it better, but I'm really rooting for you. If it's hard for you to think of the best outcome, I'll think it for you. Tomorrow is going to be great. You're going to see your baby's heartbeat!
  • @justsuzie I'll be keeping you in my thoughts tomorrow. All the good thoughts and positive vibes.
  • 2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Not too bad! I have yet to throw up (knock on wood), but do get sudden waves of nausea all the time. I feel extremely bloated, and of coarse pee ALL the time!

    3. EDD? How far along are you? I am 7wk 0d

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): I am feeling pretty anxious. Right now I get crazy thoughts running through my head like, what if it was a false positive, what if its ectopic. A lot of this will be eased once I go for my first appt/ultrasound.

    5. When is your next appointment? One week from today!

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: I am freaking out, because I feel so bloated that I had to break down and get some maternity pants for work! I sit all day with so much pushing against bloated belly. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to do it.....PS....it was the BEST decision I made!!! :D

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? Right now.... reality TV

  • @justsuzie fx for a great appointment!!

  • GL today, @justsuzie!

    1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating): Hey!  I've experienced 3 previous losses - 1 MMC at 6.5 weeks (found out at 8 weeks), 1 chemical pregnancy, and 1 loss at 20 weeks.  The last one was due to a chromosomal disorder identified at 12 weeks.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): I'd say overall, pretty good.  A couple small waves of nausea, I had really bad insomnia the other night, a bit gassier than normal.

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 12/20, 5 weeks 1 day.

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): Really nervous, but getting a bit more excited every day. I emailed with my MFM last night, and she's really optimistic for this one.  That helped a bit.  I'll feel better after the scan, so I know that a real live baby is in there, and after the NIPT and we know the baby is healthy.

    5. When is your next appointment? OMG it's so far away.  Not until May 9.  That's like next month.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? I love certain TV shows, although since we cut cable I can't watch most of them.  So I guess my guilty pleasure lately is splurging on really fancy ice cream.  I love ice cream and we don't have it every night, so I really like getting special ice cream.

    1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):

Second time, but I'll reintroduce anyway: 33 years old, this is my 4th pregnancy, one mc at 9 weeks, 2 healthy babies.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):

My boobs hurt a lot yesterday and today nothing. So there's that anxiety.

    3. EDD? How far along are you?

    5 weeks 3 days

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):

Not good today. Trying to feel like as long as I'm not bleeding there's no issue.

    5. When is your next appointment?

    May 2

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:

i kind of don't know how I feel. I can't remember how my successful pregnancies felt so I'm trying to compare to nothing I guess. I keep wanting to participate but then feel too tired to form sentences. I really love my job most of the time (RN) but then when I'm pregnant I'm always worried something will happen to hurt the baby. So now I want to quit, which is neither reasonable nor feasible. I'm looking forward to my weekend with my kids an husband. Hopefully I can take my mind off of it for a while.

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure?

Right now I would say baby wraps, and ice cream.
  • Tennis11785   Congrats! So good to see you here!!!
  • @Tennis11785 I hope the time flies until your next apt.
  • 1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):  ftm- 4th pregnancy.

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
anxious because of Lower back pain

    3. EDD? How far along are you? 5 weeks 2 days

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): terrible. Even though my beta today was good. U/s tomorrow. So very anxious.

    5. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure? Eating. Copiously.

    1. Tell us about yourself (if you're first participating):

    2. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Sore boobs, although they are getting less sore. And I feel like stuff is happening in my uterus. I wouldn't call it cramps but definitely something going on.

    3. EDD? How far along are you?
    4 weeks 6 days

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
I keep thinking how I shouldn't get excited (I am). But then I think, if something happens again, will me not being excited really even help? Either way I would be devastated. So I'm trying to push away the anxiety and allow myself to be happy, but it doesn't always work.

    5. When is your next appointment?
May 4th. I had my blood drawn today though.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:
I was supposed to have an appointment today but they called and left a voice mail saying I didn't need to be seen (prob cuz I'm so early-- I'm not really surprised). Of course I didn't listen to my voice mail and showed up. At least they took my blood so it wasn't a completely wasted trip. But just sucks because I got a half day sub for this and I totally could have gone to work and saved half a discretionary day.

    7. GTKY: Guilty Pleasure?
    Ice cream
    31 years young
    from Seattle(ish)
    5 years married
    FTM and PGAL
    EDD is 12/23/17

  • @moonlady-2 treat yourself to a nice afternoon!

  • Afm- We Had progression from a week ago and heard a heartbeat but I'm measuring a week behind.  I'm tying not to freak out but of course I'm losing my mind.  I don't know how I'm going to make it another week for another ultrasound. Thank you ladies for the thoughts and well wishes. It means a lot to have a support group because we haven't told anyone IRL
  • @JustSuzie - Progression is good!  You could just be growing slowly.  Try and do something nice to distract yourself today/this weekend.  Hopefully you'll get better news next week.

  • @justsuzie Keeping my fingers crossed for your little one! Ive read a bunch of success stories of ppl who measured behind, but i know its stressful and hard to keep positive...
  • @justsuzie the waiting is the worst! Even ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate. My DD consistently measured behind the whole pregnancy. FX that next week has even more progression.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @justsuzie Are you 110% sure when you Oed? There are a lot of factors that can add to measuring behind! Late implantation, late O, margin of US error, etc.  You saw a heartbeat - you are pregnant today. Congrats on that lady, that's huge!
