Hey Gals!
So I had my anatomy scan on Friday (it's a BOY!) and everything looks great. Baby is perfectly sized and thrashing around like a mad man (greeeaaaaat - a sign of things to come??) Haha!
So the perinatologist came in to talk to me - turns out I have a two vessel cord (most people have three vessels). Happens to 1/100 women and in 75% of the cases, nothing happens and the baby is fine. In fact, he told me that if i wasn't over 35 and having a billion doc appts, they may not have ever even noticed (since the baby isn't measuring small, which is usually what alerts them to it). He told me there is nothing to do but continue to be monitored and that he is "not concerned at all" about this.
I met with my doc as well and she echoed his sentiments - nothing to do, nothing to worry about, just monitor it.
My question is - anybody here in the same situation? Just wanted to see how common it was (hey, if 1/100 women have it i figured there had to be at least one other lady with the same condition around here!)

Re: Two Vessel Cord?
In any case, I have never had it myself but I don't recall anybody having had an issue at birth from it. Hopefully it's not too concerning for you and they will continue to monitor you closely.
