Just had my appt. Our bean measured exactly on target at 6w6d w/a heart rate of 123!  I officially "graduated" today from the RE and will be moving on to my regular OB next week for my 8 week checkup. I sobbed at my appt because I was so relieved....not just because the baby looks great, but because this awful, nearly 2 year struggle seems to finallllllllllyyyyy be OVER.

@ameliabedelia-2 - that's so exciting! We've been on over a 2 year journey for DD's sibling and have our u/s today at 6w1d... hope it goes as well as yours!

@jljeanblanc, don't be disheartened if you don't see a heartbeat yet. We had an ultrasound at 5 w 5 d and didn't see one...the doctor said it's super normal to not see one until closer to 7 weeks. Fingers crossed you get lucky and get to see it though, it's definitely a huge relief. It sort of makes things feel real:)

Yep just had my 5w5d ultrasound today so I'm going to chime in and agree with @ameliabedelia-2! We just saw the gestational sac and yolk sac and a shadow of a fetal pole.

@QsMadd so sorry you are still in limbo, such a hard place to exist for a whole week you would think after all this time with ultrasound technology that they would be able to just tell you what's going on. I'm still keeping my fx for you that this baby is a fighter and will surprise everyone!

thanks @ameliabedelia-2 and @pennstatecait - I did try to keep my expectations low going in...We are officially 6w1d (I was off on my IVF calc) and saw a good heartbeat today!

@jljeanblanc Yay!! That's fantastic! I was also told today my ivf calculator was wrong and I'm a day behind but I'm sticking with my 5w5d.. that's what all my apps and calculators said. When will you go back?

@PennStateCait - that's funny!  The internet calcs must be off a day - I wonder if they are assuming a 6 day embryo (mine was a 5 day).  My clinic lets me come once a week for ultrasounds until I graduate.  My best friend who is 2 days behind me (also did IVF but at a different clinic) doesn't have an ultrasound until early May.  I feel lucky!  When do you go back?

@jljeanblanc I also go in next week. I go in once a week but I graduate at 8 weeks which scares me! I don't want to be a regular OB patient.

Had my ultrasound this morning and my due date is 12/15, 6 weeks today! She said everything looked great and saw no cause of concern for the spotting- Phew! She was able to pick up the beginning of a heart beat at 102bpm  I go back next Friday and she said to make a follow up with my OB for 2-3 weeks

Thank you ladies! RE just called with bloodwork results and my progesterone keeps dipping. It's hovering over 9 right now so to be on safe side she prescribed prometrium, 4 x's a day.

Oh my gosh y'all. I had quite an afternoon. I started bleeding kinda heavy at lunch and started to panic. I got into the doc around three and everything turned out ok!!  the silver lining to our ordeal is that DH and I got to see the bean a little earlier than planned, and we even saw a heartbeat! What a whirlwind.

I am not sure how I'm gonna make it another 6 days to my first U/S...

1) How far along are you? 4 weeks 3 days

2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? My breast hurt, my stomach feel like I've been tensing my muscles all day, I'm tired but that's probably due to my teething one year old that keeps waking up at 3/4am every morning, this morning I felt a little sick and I've had heartburn all day but apart from that I'm peachy 

3) When is your next appointment? One not contacted a doctor at all yet, I only found out yesterday so I will call through on Monday or Tuesday to make an appointment 

4) Rants/Raves/Questions I don't really have any questions as this is my 4th child so kinda know what I'm doing now, give it a week or so and il have plenty of rants about morning sickness though

5) GTKY: Its a bit late but do you have any favorite easter/passover/spring traditions? We just do the normal egg hunt with the kids and normally cook a nice roast lamb
