DH said he might have something "in the works" in terms of a visit. And then my mom was lecturing me about some unpacked boxes that need to be taken care of and said "When your husband comes home...not that I know if anything going on with him visiting...you want your house to be clean!"
So I think he might be coming to visit sooner rather than later.

In the waiting room of the OB. Does anyone remember my MLM story where a girl tried to pick me up at a grocery store? She just signed me in at the OBGYN office. Totally acted like she didn't recognize me, but she can't ignore my name (it's super unique). Awkwardddddd

@LoveInDC That's super awkward (although I don't remember the story, I may have been less than active during that time)
Last week, I entered a random drawing for an entry in a 5k my employer is sponsoring. Found out on Friday that I was one of 5 people that won an entry. Now I really need to keep up the running, thankfully the race is not until May 6 so I have a few weeks!

@LoveInDC OMG I'm dying for you. Probably even better sign you didn't move forward with the plans to meet. That would have made it WAY more awkward. It's such a small world!!
This is loosly related but also kind of a crazy "small world" story. One of my best friends was working with this girl who had been dating a guy for a few months and one day they got into a convo about the dude.. well my friend connected the dots and discovered that the same guy was her other friend's boyfriend of over 6 YEARS! This guy was dating two girls and neither of them had a clue. She went straight to her friends house after work and told her everything of course but WOW. What are the odds?
Ugh I've only been at work for 2 1/2 hours and I've already done everything I need to do. My supervisor is out though so I have to stay in case something comes up. It's beautiful outside (low 70s and sunny). I want to go relax on the new patio set.
So I just had lunch with my best friend, who works in the same office as my mom. I brought up what DH and my mother both said, and it was so obvious she knows something.
Therefore, despite being filled with Greek food, I am going to start cleaning so our house isn't messy when he comes home.

Congrats on getting the free entry. @JJMNO1616 - ew, what a creep! I have a similar small world story. In college, I was dating this guy my sophomore year. One night I got a call from a girl I was friendly with in HS. The story was that he was at a party flirting with some girl, he walked her home, and they made out at her dorm. She called her best friend from high school, who goes to a different college, to discuss. Her friend was checking out my (aka the girlfriend's) FB page and noticed that I went to the same high school as her roommate. Luckily - I had several classes with the girl and we had a handful of mutual friends, so she gave me a call and filled me in. It was such a small world connection. For what it's worth - my boyfriend swore up and down that he didn't make out with her (just walked her home) and our mutual friends all said he wasn't reciprocating the flirting (but that this chick was definitely all over him at the party). I don't really know if he cheated on me, but our relationship was falling apart at that point anyway, he didn't handle the situation well at all, and we broke up.

@LoveInDC - Too bad you didn't go into business with the swinger! That's gotta be among the most awkward things to occur at an OBGYN office. I really want to break up with my MLM consultant. I never actually wanted to buy the product, but I did anyway because the consultant is family and I felt obligated. Also, any PCOS ladies here? I'm borderline, i.e. all the symptoms but negative blood work, and I'm wondering about how it could affect O. I've never really tracked it before and I've never really been regular in the 20yrs I've had a period (thanks ED). Is it typical to O later? I really need to get my ass to a book store and stock up on some reference material before I go crazy.
@mschanandlerbong1214 PCOS friend here! Yes, I O later... but it also just depends on the length of my cycle. The cycle i just had was 50 days i O'd on CD 38. I am currently on Metformin and hopefully that gets my cycles shorter (it did before) but I also need to clean up my diet. What PCOS symptoms do you have?
@mschanandlerbong1214@garnetandgoldgrace Most PCOS ladies (myself included) dicuss on the IF/Testing thread. To answer the question, yes, PCOS can mess with your cycles depending on how it presents in you. I, for example, have all the signs of ovulation (minus biphasic BBT) but I don't ovulate. No ovulation = no chance at pregnancy. So I'm starting medicated cycles soon. Basically, any hormonal imbalance can affect when/if you O. Because PCOS is caused by/causes (it's a chicken/egg thing) hormonal imbalances, a later or absent O isn't strange at all.

@mschanandlerbong1214 I have PCOS! I don't really have any outward signs, but I have elevated testosterone levels. Since my diagnosis, I think I've had 6 cycles, and three have been ovulatory. The other three I've had to take Provera to force my period to start. The 3 cycles in which I ovulated, I didn't until CD 21/22.
WHY did my phone just try to autocorrect "easter" to "waster"?! WTF even is "waster"?! I just wanted it to autocorrect it to Easter (which wasn't even an option in the three suggestions they give you or whatever).
Just realized 'waster' is like waste-r. Was definitely pronouncing it wah-ster. But seriously I don't think I've ever used that word in my life.
Last year my regular PA at my doctor's office left, so switched to the PA I went to while my regular PA was on maternity leave (same doctor's office). I called this morning to make an appointment because of my cold/allergy thing and my PA's last day was Friday. Grr.

Just had my OB appointment to establish care and have an annual. Really liked the Dr although I was hard core judging her so bad. When telling her about my findings from tracking she made a comment that I know more about this stuff then she does. She also told me not to worry because "that's when it happens" referring to GKTFU. I mentally eyerolled her but overall she was nice... Oddly, she also told me that "they" aren't concerned about the length of a women's luteal phase anymore as long as you are ovulating? I thought that was real weird. Anywho, sorry for the dear diary.
