    ~Everyone Welcome~
  • I've been so exhausted from the time I get up until I finally get back home to my couch/bed. I feel like I run a marathon every night in my sleep. I'm sore walking up the stairs. Just walking around work is a chore. I didn't expect to feel this tired until right before my due date. I have so much more work and baby prep to get through!
  • Having two placentas pumping hormones back into me, my face is a flipping mess. Any acne tips?! It was manageable before, and with single babies, but this time.... things aren't good  :(
  • @MKRLTX My boobs haven't really grown. I'm getting a little bit of boob muffin top on the sides but nothing really ridiculous or anything that has made me want to change sizes. If it was at the top of my bra I would switch because I hate the idea of having quad boob. I plan to try and ride these bras out until birth unless they decide to grow all of a sudden over the next few weeks.

My main symptom has been raging hunger. Like as I'm eating I can tell what I'm eating won't be enough and I'll need more. I feel like a bottomless pit.

  • @lmudra I too was a naked sleeper before baby... not anymore.  Your body will be leaking lots of fluids for a while.  Always sleep with undies and a heavy pad as well as a sleeping nursing bra with pads in it as well.
  • One bra-related suggestion: bra extenders! They hook on to your bra, and give you a few extra inches in the band. Just make sure to buy 2 vs. 3 hook ones as needed.

I don't know if it will work for you, but I've been finding that just leaving my face alone is the best for acne. I'll use face soap like once a week, and I'll always break out a bit the next day whereas if I just "wash" with water in the shower every morning my skin is fine. But I've also been letting it self-regulate like that since before I got pregnant so even if it does work for you it may take a few weeks to sort itself out which may or may not be something feasible to do.
  • Does anyone else have times where it feels like your heart is racing, even if you aren't really doing anything? It doesn't feel like shortness of breath (though that's it's own fun thing). I've felt it just sitting on the couch or standing in line at the grocery store. I plan to ask my OB tomorrow but was wondering if anyone else had experienced it.

Yes! I just mentioned this to my DH yesterday and he asked if it was PVCs. I'm obviously not sure, but I'm going to mention it too. I've also been having vertigo when sitting and I feel like it correlates to my heart thing.

Yes.  My OB says it's normal during pregnancy and isn't a concern unless you're SOB or it doesn't go away.
  • @meilay - yes, me too.  @kyreno11 - I'm there with you with the exhaustion :s

  • Is anyone else feeling the baby in a more pronounced way?  I assume it's because LO is bigger and quarters are more cramped and also they're more coordinated so movements can be more intentional.  I feel like sometimes it's really uncomfortable and I have to gently press back for relief in the form of counterpressure to some of the rolling and pushing coming from within.

  • @sparrow yes!! Movements and kicks are getting more and more pronounced and uncomfortable. Sometimes painful.  I definitely poke or gently press back sometimes.
  • @Wearmi1 I would have to change multiple times a night from how insane my sweating was. My boobs never leaked a ton, just a few drops when a feeding was approaching. But the sweating was horrific. Not excited about that.
  • @mezalune my heart will occasionally race out of nowhere.
This past week I've been sooo tired.  I feel guilt if I'm not cleaning or doing some chore, but I'm just exhausted.

Anyone else have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel? My joints were already bad before, but now I have the joy of waking up in the middle of the night with painful swollen claw hands - what fun! My wrist supports are on their way and I'm sure they will be super comfy to sleep in...

@meilay Yes! This was my whole day today and I just couldn't relax because of it, I actually ended up taking just 3 sips of DH's wine at dinner and it helped a bit (first sip of alcohol at nearly 32 weeks, but it felt like the only thing that would help after trying a bath, self massage, and meditation). Not sure if it's anxiety or what...
  • @kcrocetto27, I did with DD1. My arms would tingle from my elbows to my finger tips, but I never got claw hands.

Does anybody have suggestions for support leggings for varicose veins? I noticed one on my thigh about a month ago and it seems to be getting a bit worse. My midwife suggested something like support hose, but I'm wondering if there is a legging that does not require a dress or tunic.

Yes! Mine is getting a little better now, but I've had to be vigilant for months. I don't sleep with wrist supports though (I tried and it felt too weird), I just make sure my hands/wrists are in a completely neutral position while I sleep and am also very careful about how I am positioning/using them during the day.
I also had it PP with DS.  It is probably just wishful thinking, but since I had it PP last time and during pregnancy this time, maaaaybe it will go away PP this time around?!
  • Carpal tunnel here!!!  I've been wearing wrist guards to sleep for a couple months now.  They're not too bad to sleep in, you get used to it.  The worst part is when I'm stuck in traffic and they start to hurt.
  • Oh man, the leaking boobs... I'll never forget the morning I woke up and my milk had come in. I was engorged and laying in a puddle of milk and completely horrified. Then I made DH feel my boobs because I couldn't believe how hard they were. Ahhh memories....
  • .....and insomina. Sitting in bed, wide awake. Trying to decide if I want to stay here or go find something to eat.

  • @ladylolly89 I wish I had your control! I move way too much at night.

@lmudra Yeah I am hoping they will be ok, anything is better that these sharp finger pains, even if I have to take them off halfway through the night.

@kahlan82 this is my life atm.
  • I am going to do some more real talk TMI...

I'm on the more natural/lazy side of a beauty regimen meaning I don't typically shave and have done nothing but a trim of my bikini line. I've not noticed hair growth except for downstairs being out of control. The extra hair, discharge, and sitting all day is making me swell. I don't plan to change anything, because I can't really reliably reach, but its super annoying and I thought I'd complain.

  • I had this AWEFUL leg crap two days ago and I'm still feeling the pain from it. I broke my ankle really good (needed surgery, couldn't put weight on it for 6 months, etc) two years ago and apparently the new waddle I've been doing lately is making the muscles on that leg FREAK OUT!
  • @lizerspitz my nether regions is the only hair growth lately for me too. My leg hair is growing slowly, thank God, since I can barely shave.

  • Things that annoy me about third trimester: not being sure if the unbelievably painful cramps I'm having are gas or contractions. Thinking gas, thank goodness!

  • Feeling like I did a hundred sit-ups today.  I didn't.
  • I've hit the miserable wall. I'm super irritable, exhausted, and uncomfortable.
  • My blood pressure started creeping up this week so now I need to monitor at home several times per day.  Bought myself a wireless one that records the data and tracks it for me with a $20 coupon from the Omron website.  BPs are significantly better for me laying down so it's a good reminder for me to rest and take it easy.

  • I'm there with you ladies in spirit.  Keep up the good fight!  You're all so close to the finish!!!!
  • I'm also starting to feel that sort of way which is new because I've basically been just a lady with a small belly this whole time. I'm starting to feel much less mobile.

I'm having similar gas pains! Gas-x has helped a little.
  • Also had what I think are BH last night, I felt a tightening but not necessarily pain.  Additionally, some lower back pain which is new and only lasted a few hours.
  • Total AW/dear diary post ahead. Sorry, I just need to vent. I'm so over the top emotional. I cried yesterday because I wanted veggie sushi but didn't want to ask DH to go pick it up, even though he was going out already. I cried today because DH got me an Easter basket, but I didn't get one for him. I am now wallowing because it hurts to bend over to pick up DD's toys and the house is a total mess because I'm big, and I'm tired, and I struggle to do almost anything beyond caring for DD. Anytime I do anything I start having painful contractions and have to stop. And now I'm crying again because I feel totally useless.

This. This is me. I grunt every time I need to bend over. It happens so often that DD is starting to grunt/groan when she bends over. I still have 10 weeks to go.

I'm sorry that you're dealing with this too, but it's nice to know I'm not alone in my misery. I bet your DD grunting is the cutest. Mine hasn't done that, but she has started walking around holding her belly as if it's heavy.  :D
  • @doodleoodle hugs!  I cry a lot too! You're doing your best and that's all you can do.
