Weekly Symptoms 4/10

Re: Weekly Symptoms 4/10

  • So jealous of those who can feel baby movements from the outside. I'm dying to get DH to feel LO. I still just feel little movements every now and then.
    I'm 19+5 today.
    Acne
    RLP
    Out of breath
    Sore back
    Sleepy
    Snissing (sneezing & pissing)
More emotional now! I cried while watching New Girl, and my friend had her first baby Sunday night and I happy cried over her DH Facebook post about it.
I also had a weird thing where I got super light-headed Saturday. We were helping people move so I had been on my feet all day. I'm guessing it was a quick/random drop in BP, because I sat down and felt fine.

  • @mrs_tacos I do have fibro. It went into remission with my first pregnancy and now has returned. I don't do much for it, because as I'm sure you know, there are not a lot of options. Been using massage and heat. Dr said I could take hot baths, too. Tylenol doesn't do anything. It still isn't as bad as it once was, so just having hope.

    How about yourself?

Having this one other odd symptom. My colostrum has come in really early, most likely because I was still breastfeeding recently. It is making my breasts really lumpy and it hurts from time to time. Anyone else experiencing this?
  • @wyomama0427 yay!!!!! So excited for you!!

  • I am 18+4 today and can feel kicks on the outside since about a week ago! DH has felt them also.I have to be laying down on my back.
  • @lilpoots I'm a mild to moderate case, with occasional severe flare ups. My fibro was mostly absent in the first tri, and has gradually made a small come back over the last few weeks. I've also been using mostly massage and heat, though my doctor and I have discussed accupressure or acupuncture if it continues to get worse. Last night my pain was, while not severe, bad enough that I normally would have taken medicine. My doctor told me to take a unisom and try to sleep through it, which worked well, but I don't know if I would want to do that regularly if the pain continues.

  • @mrs_tacos hmm interesting. I'm allowed to take unisom for my morning sickness and it's supposed to be safer than zofran. I don't usually take it because I bed share, but we are transitioning DS to his bed this week. Fx your small flare is short lived.
  • @Swazzle I couldn't tell whether it was lower back pain -- it felt like pain/achiness all over my back.  Didn't have it this morning, though.  Thanks for the recommended sleeping position!!
  • Had two very noticeable Braxton hicks contractions yesterday. Very very strange. @Becky012016 weren't you saying you were having some too?
  • Sooo I've never been very dependent on my glasses...uhh i have to have them all the time now or I can't see for shit.  Thank goodness my sunnies are Rx or I'd be screwed.

I was just reading yesterday that sometimes your vision changes during pregnancy... so weird!

  • @wyomama0427 I think I may have been having some Braxton hicks too, but I couldn't tell for sure. With DS they were definitely unmistakeable. I'm 18 weeks which seems early for Braxton hicks, but I think it's possible!

Other symptoms are a sore back and lots of food aversions.
  • @wyomama0427 Yep I have had them already. I'm not drinking enough water though so that's most likely what is causing them.

@labby18 your vision will most likely go back to your normal after delivery! Sorry you have to wear glasses all the time though :/
  • Ive read that too @HollyGolightly09 and @Becky012016 but i was like yeah ok....and suddenly i cannot read the TV guide or Netflix...

Ps...never been so happy for a BM or gas in my life! so much relief and i can be relatively comfortable for the rest of the day.

@labby18 Have you tried eating lots of onions? DH has been making these onions sautéed in olive oil that he puts on various things, and every time I eat much of it I cease to be constipated.

Maybe my bowels just don't love onions, but I am just grateful to be able to poop!

  • @wyomama0427 I remember starting with the Braxton hicks contractions at 18 weeks with my last pregnancy. I'm pretty sure it only happened when I went pee.. but then I started getting them pretty often. I think I just wasn't drinking enough water, they stopped being so frequent when I drank more!

This. With DD I remember having to wear my glasses vs. contacts for the first few months and then was able to wear my contacts later.

With these LO's I've mostly been wearing my glasses more these days anyways, so I haven't had the irritation with my contacts. I have probably worn contacts 4 times since BFP and I'm OK with that.

Have you had an eye exam lately? Might be worth it for you to have them checked out. As far as contacts for me, I have switched to dailies which are much thinner and are said to irritate the eyes less, especially with allergens around this time of year.

I hope this phase won't last too long for you. It's pretty miserable.

  • I ate a kiwi today. And I pooped. May be a coincidence... trying again tomorrow. I agree that I feel SO much better when I can poo.
Anyone else's belly button already popping out? It didn't pop out with DS until 26+ weeks but it's already bulging out right now.
  • Dont ever brag about how awesome a BM is/was. You will wake up at 230a with gas pains and a seriously uncomfortable BM   now DH should be home from work soon, and i need to go back to sleep nc I have work in the AM.
  • @Swazzle yes! Lol! That made me giggle but I totally know what you're talking about. Right now only the top half of my belly button is poking out. That whole area is just a mess because I've had it pierced twice. And my last pregnancy really just destroyed everything lol so it's pretty hideous now
  • I am 20 weeks, and all of a sudden I am so freaking hungry!! I really want to stay on track with weight gain, but it's so hard when I wake up starving!

  • yes @Swazzle! My belly button never poked out with DD, just became a huge cavern. It feels like a black hole this time.

  • @Swazzle yes. I feel like it has turned into a big black hole!
  • Congrats to everyone feeling baby kicks. That's so exciting.

Meanwhile, I'm over here with severe leg cramping.

Oh the leg cramps. I feel your pain.

  • I am struggling with headaches the last couple weeks, lower back pain, and a runny nose. Seriously where does all this snot come from? I have never had allergies or anything before. It is gross.
