A way to support our loss moms...

Hi Ladies, I feel like we need to do something when an O17 mom loses her baby. Names and avatars are getting more familiar, there are a lot of regulars here, and when someone loses their baby I think we all feel it. I know i do. In my old BMB we did a candle thread weekly where we remember the moms who lost their precious baby and we have one hour of silence, which means no posting or commenting for the hour. Everyone can come and gif a candle or write something supportive during this hour of silence instead. It's a way to not forget the babies that were lost and not let the moms fade away. I am open to suggestions. Let me know what you think or drop a love-tit if you like this idea. Wishing everyone a healthy pregnancy. xoxo

Great idea. I seem to remember my last BMB had a sticky post listing the moms who lost, date of loss, and baby name if available/applicable but a weekly thread would probably bring more attention.

Breaks my heart to see this but it's important to acknowledge, in some way, a life lost.

I think it's a nice idea, but an hour of "silence" would be very difficult to maintain. I think the idea of a sticky like Purplestars suggested would be more practical.

Thanks ladies for supporting this idea. I think we will go ahead. @dogperson11 It is difficult to maintain but I think when it works it is something that brings us together as a community. Let's see how it goes this week. Hopefully it works. At the end of the day it is a way for women across the internet to show solidarity and support each other.

@beezeemarie, I'm in a really awkward time zone. i'm going to either start this too late or too early. Could you please start it around your lunch time on a day this week? If yes, I can PM you roughly what to write and how to organise the hour of silence with a few timezones to cover most of USA.

@purplestars-2 Keeping a sticky thread is a great idea so we never forget. Would you like to do this?

On the sticky note thing, just in case you ladies aren't aware, @jessafishy already keeps track of the loss moms/angel babies on another tab of our spreadsheet

@beezeemarie, alternatively  I can start it before I go to bed tonight and include that the hour of silence begins at 12PM Pacific Time (for example. )

Thanks @Beezeemarie, That would be a great help. It also is more effective when the thread starts when the hour  silence is and not hours and hours prior! I'll PM you some stuff that I'm going to C&P from my old board. Again, thank you so much!

This makes me so happy that you guys want to do this to honor and remember those that were lost. We've lost so many October angels already

I didn't realize there was already a spot on the spreadsheet for it (I'm on the app most of the time). That will probably suffice for the sticky thread.

I do think I've gotten everyone added on the spreadsheet side but by all means, if you see one I've missed please move it on over!

@jessafishy I cannot access the spreadsheet from my work computer. Do you mind copying and pasting the names and sending it to me in PM so that we can add them in tomorrow's candle thread?

@jessafishy I just caught up and saw that beezeemarie started the thread. She initially removed all the names I had tagged for that thread in my PM to her but it looks like someone else tagged them. I think our second thread will run a bit smoother for next time! Thanks though!
