@Stankonia2014 I posted somewhere on another thread about her diagnosis. Thought I tagged you. Maybe not. We're in a holding pattern pretty much until she's bigger. It's a lot of stress to transport her to another hospital for the MRI. She also can't be on any of the monitoring devices she's on in the MRI machine. So for now we're just letting her grow and when she's bigger we'll take her to children's.
@krex-2 true blood used to give me life!!!! The ending to all of it will frustrate the hell out of you though. Enjoy! Especially enjoy the ware wolf :-) he's dreamy!
@Wearmi I am so happy to see that she is doing well!!
DH and I did a birth of your baby class and hospital tour today, and then I got a huge box of baby girl clothes from my sister in law to sort through and organize. I am so glad I have spent less than $100 on clothes so far! I honestly have enough to keep baby clothed until she's one.
Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers, everyone. You ladies are the best. I ended up asking dh to take his parents and dd out for dinner so i could go to the hospital for a few hours tonight and give my parents a break. My brother is not really speaking except for whispering "it hurts, it hurts" occasionally, but he's not screaming hysterically anymore, which he was for hours last night and earlier today. He was able to get hooked up for the long-term EEG tonight, so hopeful that will show something useful. He was trying to go to sleep when I left, and my dad is staying with him overnight. I'll go in again tomorrow afternoon for a little bit.
I'm super pissy today. DH is on the verge of getting sick. I asked him (probably too bitchy-like) to either decide if he was sick or not because mentally it would help me to decide if I was doing things on my own or if I would have help. Of course he decided to try and tough it out and now I'm finding half done projects around the house because he needs a break and needs to rest. Then DC provider texted me yesterday to tell me she has pneumonia but she's on antibiotics and thinks she'll be okay by Monday. Plus her husband will be there if she needs help. I don't really want to take DS1 to daycare with a sick provider but if DH isn't feeling his best, and I need to save my days for mat. leave, then I find myself backed into a corner...
I had been eyeing this area rug for about a year. My husband thought the price of it was ridiculous but I kept saying we needed it so new baby could play on the floor.
Guess what we bought today! Woohoo! Now I should probably focus efforts on the kid's shared room. But whatever. I got my area rug!
@Wearmi1 she is beautiful! Glad to hear she is doing so well!
We went to the grocery store, pet store, costco and to get a donut all before 10:30am! We feel accomplished today! We have our hospital tour tonight and I'm super excited. DH is out on a bike ride and I'm watching 13 Reasons Why. Has anyone else started watching it?
I have a stupid question...why do some people say you shouldn't get pedicures when pregnant? Im ready to go get one. My toes need help!
I got them with dd. I'm not this time because of the smells, they give me a headache and I think that must not be healthy to breathe. But I do know one rule is no massaging ankles and another spot of your calf because it can cause contractions. I always just made sure to tell them that I'm pregnant so no massage or whatever, even though it was so very obvious.
Well spending this Sunday afternoon in labor and delivery. Felt crampy and had semi regular light contractions all morning. Since my last baby was a 32 weeker, I didn't want to take any chances and headed in. Hopefully it's just a false alarm. My 17 month old's Easter celebration was today so I'm super upset to miss it but luckily grandparents are taking him.

I hope everything is ok with you! Fingers crossed that things settle down. Update us as you know. It's too early for anymore little ones to arrive.
I used to do the zoo membership every year. Actually, last year was the first year I didn't because I was working a summer job so it just didn't seem like we would get the use out of it (especially since our zoos are only seasonal). DS always loved going, it was a nice walk and a break from the heat (our local zoo is very shady). Ours has a deer forest, which DS loves, where you can go and walk through the woods and feed the deer, they'll come right up to you and let you pet them, as long as you don't touch the antlers.
@Allybiery Hope everything is ok! @ellie111227 Sending good thoughts for you and your family! @Wearmi1 Thanks for the update!
Disclaimer: Before I start - I'm fine, baby is fine.
Yesterday I missed the last step when I was carrying a basket of laundry down to the basement. I fell and hurt both ankles. I was alone in the house and couldn't put weight on either leg, so I scoot/crawled back up the stairs to the living room to get my cell phone. I called my neighbors and they got me into the ER. They are seriously the best - they stayed with me the whole time. I called my husband and texted him updates until he could get off work.
At the hospital, they checked the baby and his heartbeat was nice and strong. A few hours and a couple X-rays later and nothing's broken. Just some very, very painful sprained ligaments in both ankles. I left with air braces, crutches, and ice packs. I have a prescription for painkillers, but I'm going to try to make it on a Tylenol or 2 first (ER doc said that was ok). I'm supposed to keep weight off them for a couple days. I'll be on crutches for a two weeks, might need PT. They said it takes 6-8 weeks to heal fully so...pretty much the rest of my pregnancy, lol.
Be careful out there mamas! It's easy to sprain and strain joints while our ligaments are loosening up.
