I finally got DH to agree to our travel timeline (we had been fighting about how early we need to get to the airport). I have been adamant about getting there 2 hours before the flight, and he is insistent that we don't need that much time.
1) he has never tried to navigate an airport with 2 kids and all their crap 2) at 29 weeks pregnant I am not going to be moving as quickly as I could be (and the boys won't be either) 3) we have to drop off a rental car, which takes some time 4) the last time he travelled somewhere, he missed his flight home because he didn't leave enough time to get to the airport 5)I just don't want to stress about it
i finally just told him I was going to bring it up again, and I needed him to just say ok because I really don't need the stress of rushing through a busy airport (JFK in NY) because he wants to play beat the clock.
We have an Easter egg hunt in a couple hours, then a "kids fest" after. So basically I'm going to be exhausted by dinner time. But so will the girls, hopefully that means an easy bedtime.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
This is Mommy/DS weekend since DH is working night shift. He was up at 6am. When it is "Daddy's weekend" he always sleeps until 7 or 8. What gives? We are going to an event in the park with tractors and farming stuff.
Me: 34 DH: 35 Married: July 2009 BFP: November 2012 after 2 years of TTC DS born August 2013 Diagnosed with PCOS April 2016 3 months of trigger shot with timed intercourse BFN x3 First IUI: 9/17/16 BFP: 9/30/16 EDD: 6/11/17
My in-laws are here for the weekend, which is going fine, except that my little brother is very sick, and usually I would go to my parents house to help with everything, and I can't. He has multiple disabilities, but is normally very verbal and very social, and he's a really really cheerful person. Since Christmas he's been having these episodes of crazy neurological symptoms that make him just shake and not be able to swallow or talk at all and be really sensitive to sensory stuff, like he gets terrified if the tv is on. They last for about a week, and then he will be himself again, but they are getting closer and closer together. This time it's been less than three weeks since the last time. They haven't been able to find a diagnosis for him yet, so he has been in and out of various doctors' offices and hospitals every time this happens. His neurologist has a long-term EEG scheduled for him for next week, so hopefully that will find something. I'm just stressed that I can't go help my mom out with everything because i have company here. And I hate knowing he is having such a hard time and I can't do anything.
@ellie111227 Wow... that's rough. Hope your brother's providers are able to get some answers to relieve these issues soon and you get some peace of mind
@graceriesz I'm having the same issue over here. Today is my day that I can sleep in, been suffering from random insomnia in the middle of the night for the last 3 nights, and now I wake up at 4:45am. UGHHH
@graceriesz and @silliegirlie143 I'm right there with you in the no sleep area. I couldn't fall asleep until well after 2am, woke up frequently, and was awake and not going back to sleep by 7am. I hope I don't look too tired for my baby shower today.
All the ladies that are pregnant and have little ones at home are so impressive to me. I'm also a little jealous of anyone that only wants one child. One of the worst parts of this pregnancy is imagining going through all the same things in addition to the exhaustion and effort it takes to care for another child. I always wanted a big family, but pregnancy has been much more difficult than I anticipated.
@ellie111227 I hope they find some answers for him soon.
I am going to a lularoe brunch at my friends in a few (pretty much just for the food, I don't have funds to shop) and when I get home my husband is leaving for a work event. I am trying to figure out a fun afternoon outing with the kids that won't be too exhausting.

@ellie111227, sorry to hear about your brother. I hope the EEG yields some answers.
My kids let me sleep until 7:15! Today we are doing yard work. It's going to be beautiful outside this weekend. We'll probably take the kids to the park. Have a low key weekend.
I'm going to dinner and a comedy show with one of my closest friends tonight. Then she's sleeping over and we're going to brunch in the am. Woot! Need to pick out baby furniture and keep working on my registry. One week out from shower #1
We are getting ready to go to Medieval Times for a friends 30th birthday. I am so excited bc I have never been but a little nervous bc we decided to bring DS (2) and Im hoping he'll like it and sit still (lap only). Luckly the drive there will be nap time and they picked the 2 pm show.
DS' first birthday party is tomorrow, so I'm baking cookies and bars and cupcakes. The house smells great, but I'm going to be tired later. I am SO glad that I was able to convince DH to just do a simple family get together at the park down the street. No cleanup for me!
Just got home from the GO! St. Louis 5K. My pace was slower than molasses but I finished! Sometimes it's more about the journey than the end result. Here's to a gorgeous spring weekend and an end to my 3yo's flu (we are on day #6 of fever.). Happy Saturday, ladies!
Sent my husband to the dump today to get rid of a bunch of stuff that has been driving me crazy cluttering up the house, basement and garage. He's all grouchy now. I have no sympathy because I've been doing all the things to get ready for the baby so far while also growing the baby inside of me. Tomorrow we're taking DD to visit a raptor rehab center and that should be cool.

Currently getting myself a pedicure. I'm sure my feet will be ruined after walking around Disney next week but I needed to treat myself since the piggies will be out on display and I can't bend over to paint them myself. I would be doing a mani too, but I caught my finger in a stapler the other day and it's not pretty right now.
dh and I are having a date night in tonight, with dinner and a movie, no electronics allowed!
I was supposed to take the train home this morning after being with my parents....instead they're now sitting on my sofa with DD (who got her first lesson on the rules of golf.)
Big hugs @ellie111227. I hope they're able to get some answers for your brother soon.
We got the nursery completely cleaned out of other stuff and put together for this baby. All we need to do before baby comes now is get new blinds up. Everything else decorating wise will be done after baby arrives and I know what accent colors I want to use. We've done some playing outside and yardwork as well because it's so gorgeous out! And I think every window in my house is open. It's so lovely!
@mezalune - you are awesome! I don't run, period, but I can't imagine doing it pregnant.
@c1tym0m22 - I'm sorry for your losses. I firmly believe that even as adults sometimes we need our parents, so I'm glad they were able to take care of you. Here's hoping tomorrow is better.
I don't think I mentioned this before but we jumped on the bandwagon with moving and will be in our new house sometime in the next month (or not, no pressure haha) so our weekend will be spent getting organized and starting to pack. The hardest thing is knowing what I want done but being too pregnant to do it myself (and forcing myself not to lift). Thank goodness our families have been more than willing to jump in and help out, I hope we don't wear out their generosity before everything gets done.
I keep meaning to sit down and give you ladies the nitty gritty details of my crazy birth story. Maybe tonight when I get home I'll break out my laptop and write my story.
So I spent 5 days in the hospital. Mind you I was super drugged up but this is what I needed. Toiletries.. shampoo etc chapstick toothbrush hair brush ponytail holders deodorant phone charger
thats pretty much it. Everything else was provided. Gown, mesh panties, pads, nipple cream. I'm glad i didn't feel like I needed to wear anything other than what they gave me because honestly it was like a crime scene. Lots of blood and fluids. Don't ruin anything of your own. I'm normally a makeup wearing girl. Didn't even think about needing it. But there again probably because I was super drugged up.
My morning started out rough. Phone was ringing at 4am. My #1 sailor got picked up by Washington state patrol for a dui. I'm the only person up here at my detachment senior enough to get her out of jail. So even though I'm on maternity leave for the next 12 weeks... I drug my ass out to go get her. She was covered in vomit so yea it was a fun time.
Here are some recent pics of Adeline. She's come off her IV as of last night and is gaining weight pretty steadily. They've been dropping down the temp of her isolette slowly everyday until she's at room temp and maintaining her temp. On the even brighter side she's off donor breast milk and on mine exclusively!!
@Mother0fDragons and @Stankonia2014 thanks ladies! I'm so blessed that even though she came so early she's thriving and doing well. I spend a very large portion of my day in her room at the hospital doing skin to skin with her. I also pump here too! Hospital pumps are the best. I have the spectra s1 at home.
@krex-2 DH and I LOVED True Blood.....enjoy. Although Suki starting annoying the crap out of me. The books were a disappointment to me.
