  • @MrsGinter first I wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss last month.

It sounds like you may have ovulated later than they calculated based on last period. Did you have a negative test before the positive on 3/31? How dark was it?  You could have been as early as 4+2 yesterday, in which case it would have been very difficult to find something on ultrasound, and that would depend on the quality of the machine. Even at 5 weeks they might only see a gestational sac and tiny spec that is LO.

It sounds like your doc is taking the right steps to better ascertain where you're at.

    Fx for good rising betas!

  • I've been wanting pizza for the last week finally got some today and it was awful.... Took two hires and I was in the toilet..... Morning sickness hit early with this pregnancy and I'm ALWAYS HUNGRY... Aww the joys!!!
  • @SierraGood How far along are you? I'm only 5 weeks and the hunger IS REAL. I literally just ate an entire burrito and my stomach growled! No real nausea for me yet, but feeling "hung over" most of the day. I'll take it over nausea/vomiting though!

  • @MrsGinter  I think you just have to wait for betas to know what's going on. Good luck and I'll be thinking of you

@pink flamingo they have these sensory deprivation tanks near me and they are filled with rosin salt water. They say that a lot of pregnant women use the tanks because they can float. So I'm pretty sure it's fine because that is highly concentrated.

I went for an early US yesterday and I have a ruptured corpus Luteum cyst. The cramps on that side suck and they are relentless. DR said they will monitor until it goes away. She also said it's a good thing. I'm wondering why. I kno what they are but didn't think they were good nor bad.
  • I've a bit of nausea and heartburn so far. With DS the MS started at 5 weeks (I'm 5w6d now) and it was completely awful until 15 weeks so I'm waiting for it to really kick in.

The last few days I've had some scary symptoms but TV ultrasound today showed LO looks great. I cried like a baby hearing the heartbeat for the first time.
  • @thatlauragirl good luck! Hoping things go well

  • I really want to put a picture on my profile and every time I try it does not work. It says there is an error. Is this because I'm on my mobile ? If so that sucks because all of my pics are on my phone.
  • @PoeMasque Almost 6 weeks :) and it is a struggle I have a 16 month old who is constantly moving so I feel like I'm burning calories faster than I can get them in!
  • Without giving you guys too much detail, it became apparent to me tonight that it's time for me to start the daily colace. And now I'm spotting reddish pink. Exact same thing happened to me with DD, so I know what's probably going on. I still really don't like seeing red blood though. I really don't like it.
  • @kbamomma33 Take comfort in the fact that it's happened before and everything was fine.
  • @justsuzie I found out yesterday that I have a huge corpus luteum cyst as well. It's very painful. My OB said they help support the sac until the placenta is fully formed. It is also where progesterone is made to help aid the pregnancy along. And if I'm not mistaken she said something about it being remnants of the actual ovulation follicle.

  • I woke up in the middle of the night last night with horrible heartburn!!! I couldn't even lay back down for 15 min after my antacids.  I feel like it is too early for this.
  • @acgonzalez22 right?! It's like a pinching pain. I was actually worried I was having another ectopic when I felt it. Phew. My dr seemed to think it was a good sign. So I take comfort in that.
  • I got hit with some pretty intense chest pain last night. I even felt it between my shoulder blades. I was having a hard time breathing (not short of breath, but couldn't take deep breaths because it hurt too bad) and I couldn't find a position that soothed the pain. I'm guessing it's costochondritis (because I've been diagnosed with it in the past)... It's the inflammation of the cartilage between your ribs, right in the middle of your chest. I'm pretty certain it's not pregnant related, but it was so awful. My husband even called the ER, but they assuaged his fears... He thought I was having a heart attack or something, but my symptoms didn't line up. It still hurts pretty badly when I breathe, so I've been trying to take it easy.

  • @vvitchhazel I'm sorry you're dealing with that while pregnant! I've dealt with it in the past too, among any number of crazy spasms and pinched nerves that go hand in hand with pronounced scoliosis. I'm always worried something will flare up when I'm pregnant and can't take my muscle relaxers. Take care of yourself! Hope it eases soon! FWIW, gel cooling pads usually help ease my rib inflammation.

  • Thanks @babypi! I don't know why I didn't think of trying the cold packs. Also--oops, didn't realize I posted this on the old thread. My bad!
