Symptoms? back aches, heartburn, and fatigued some days I want to sleep all day, it's like first tri all over again!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: DH is helping with a few last minute to dos today! Rant: I couldn't fall asleep and stay asleep last night. DD woke up at 5... this never happens. This mama is super tired!
Team: PINK
GTKY: what's left on my to do list is... sterlize bottles, pacis and pump parts. finish buying a couple things for DDs big sis present. Get the swing down from attic and put together and washed up. And make padsicles!
Any appointments this week? Yesterday I finally went to see a specialist to have him confirm if Noelle had a cist on her ovaries and they looked and looked and said they don't see a cist anywhere. They are thinking my OB office is looking at something else and mistaking it for a cist. I wasn't worried about it in the first place, but it still is a relief. They said Noelle is about 5 pounds and 5 ounces and that she has long legs. Hearing that just made me so happy and excited about meeting baby girl.
Symptoms? Frequent restroom trips, Heartburn
Rants/Raves/Questions? None
Team pink/blue/green? Pink!
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? The biggest thing is finding childcare and I know this is last minute. I'll be making phone calls all day today. The problem is, I'm looking for part time care (3-4 days) and most places require full time. So, I think I found a few places that allow part time and will call them today.
How big is baby? A bunch of carrots or a coconut according to my signature
Any appointments this week? Nope, next Tuesday.
Symptoms? Heartburn, backache, frequent need to pee, some of his movements are getting really uncomfortable now! I get like a shooting pain in my lower abdomen or vaginal area when he moves, guess he is trying to settle his head down into my pelvis. I think these movements are making me irritable which isn't good for being at work right now!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: Had our shower on Sunday and it was great! We got mostly everything we need, still some stuff that needs to be purchased. Question: Anyone here had BH and known how they feel? Every so often I get a tightened stomach and some shooting pain/cramping in my lower abdomen/pelvis. That feeling then releases and I feel almost like I need to release some gas or have a BM (TMI) and then that feeling goes away too. Now sure if I am just having digestive issues or it is BH? He usually moves A LOT after these episodes too.
Team pink/blue/green? Blue
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Finish going through/washing clothes from the shower. Buy changing pad, covers, more sheets, diapers, bottles, etc. Organize the nursery and get it set up. Pack hospital bag (or at least start to). Guess I have a lot left to do!

Any appointments this week? Was supposed to have one today but Dr was delivering and since I have nothing concerning I will just wait two more weeks.
Symptoms? Pelvic pain, out of breath easily
Rants/Raves/Questions? I found if I don't drink as much during the day/evening I get a full nights sleep but wake up with achy legs like from Charlie horses. If I drink a lot I get up more frequently but don't have achy legs. Just can't win.
I also feel feel like we have lots of random drive bye people lately. Maybe getting down to the end makes them come out??
Team pink/blue/green? Pink
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? just waiting until May to bring PNP, car seats, strollers etc down stairs. Otherwise everything else is done and ready. Have our infant CPR class next week and then the week after we are doing our hospital tour. When I scheduled them it seemed so far away.
Any appointments this week? Today! All good. BP fine.
Symptoms? Sore, so sore. I've had more painful BH lately, and my muscles feel sore. Obvi, chasing after a rowdy 33-pound toddler isn't helping.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The midwife I saw today encouraged me to eat more red meat (to boost my blood count in advance of c/s), so that's kind of awesome? Too bad she wasn't like "And feel free to have a glass of cab with your steak!"
Team pink/blue/green? Girl
GTKY: What's left on your to do list for baby? The last couple birth announcements lit a fire under me, so I hit up the Target diaper promotion this weekend and bought toiletries for my hospital bag. Still to do: pack hospital bag, locate/wash nursing tanks, clean carseat, install bases. Oh, and maybe figure out some contingency plans for our son if baby comes before my scheduled c/s. We'd probably be OK if the action happened during the day, but right now we have no overnight options.
@MrsFox2008 : Glad things went well this morning. 36 weeks! So exciting! @MrsCPALeslie : That's great about the scan! Good luck on the child care hunt. It's so stressful, I know. Any local mom Facebook groups in your area? Ours always has a wealth of info about local daycare options. @lilylover27 : You've basically described how I've been feeling! Unpleasant for sure. @SWE2 : I had the same debate last night. I was a bit crampy and knew I needed to drink more water. But it was close to bedtime, and I really didn't want to get up 100x to pee. Sigh. Hope you're feeling OK today!
@MrsFox2008, I'm right there with you feeling like it's the 1st tri alllllll over again. So tired all of the time. And insane heartburn.
@MrsCPALeslie , such great news that they couldn't see a cyst! That must be a relief even though you weren't super worried about it.
@lilylover27 , that does sound like BH to me. Also, just general 3rd trimester discomfort, which is unfortunately normal.
@SWE2 , definitely seem to be an increase of drive bys on the board lately...maybe just people getting panicky that the end is near and looking for support? Or just crazies trying to stir the pot...
@slomo , the overnight possibility really is a little stressful...we've got the daytime thing figured out and my mom arrives on Friday, so as long as baby girl stays put until then, we're safe!
@SWE2 Charlie horses are the worse! I am sometimes afraid to stretch my legs at night because I will get them randomly! I know I'm not as active on the board so I can't really say anything for driveby posts. @mrsfox2008 glad the appointment went well this morning! @slowmo oh a class of Cab would be awesome right about now!

How far along are you? 35 weeks! 1 week to induction!!
How big is baby? The size of a carton of eggs!
Any appointments this week? So. Many. Appointments! Ultrasound/MFM appointment tomorrow morning, Round 1 of steroid shots Thursday morning. Round 2 of steroid shots Friday morning plus an appointment with my OB.
Symptoms? Total discomfort 90% of the time, heartburn, general short fuse...I feel like I should lock myself in a room alone until next Tuesday to avoid pissing people off.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I really can't wrap my head around being 1 week from meeting this little one. It's such a strange, looming thing. And I have so many plans between then and now, that I feel like time will fly by. Aaaand, I just impulse bought myself a new LeSportsac hospital bag on Amazon...Prime shipping, for the win!
Team pink/blue/green? Pink!
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Nothing! Well, nothing specific for her. But I have a roster of "last xyz before baby comes"...tonight: dinner with my mom friends, Saturday night: dinner out alone with DH, Sunday morning: play date with DS's toddler friends and my mommy friends, Sunday afternoon: brunch with friends, Monday: mani/pedi and shopping with my mom.
How far along are you? 34 weeks (Scheduled C - 5/10)
How big is baby? Pineapple or Quokka
Any appointments this week? Regular OB visit Friday (Hubs is off the rest of this week because he works for the school system, and I am thinking about having him go with me even though it won't be a particularly exciting appointment. He has been to zero this time around )
Symptoms? Just the usual blimping out... nothing to see here!
Team pink/blue/green? TEAM GREEN
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Buy a double stroller, find a system of organization for DS's clothes and May baby's clothes, get PNP set back up in our room
@MrsFox2008 - Guess I need to do the bottles and pump as well... The list never ends!
@MrsCPALeslie - Glad to hear the good report about the cyst/non-cyst! And Good luck with your care search.
@lilylover27 - Glad you had a good shower! Don't forget to take advantage of your completion discounts when you go shopping!
@SWE2 - I think potassium is supposed to help with cramps. I am always careful not to point my toes when I stretch out in the bed, because that seems to be when they happen the most often.
@slowmo - Oh gosh... I have NO IDEA what we'll do if this baby wants to come early and in the middle of the night. Panic, I guess.
@Kipperoo - HOLY MOLY! 1 WEEK?! We'll have to have a modified ticker for you so you can keep joining us on Tuesdays (because you'll have so much time on your hands!) I hope you live it up this week and check everything off of your 'one last' list!
@emilyalso , I will definitely still check in with my Tuesday ladies!! I'm sure there will be a few babies right behind me...it's getting to be that time!! Past 36 weeks, it seems to get real REAL fast! :-)
Happy Tuesday ladies! Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
How far along are you? 34 weeks!
How big is baby? a squash
Any appointments this week? midwife today, OB on Thursday
Symptoms? nothing new here really. I do have the odd day now when the baby is high and my stitches don't hurt, so that's been a pleasant surprise!
Rants/Raves/Questions? So many raves! My shower on Sunday was so much fun. A lot of our registry stuff was purchased which was super helpful. I'm also 2 weeks away from getting these stitches out which is super exciting. I was really busy the last few days so I haven't been able to log in, so now I'm going to see if I missed any drive-by entertainment...
Team pink/blue/green? blue
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Finish putting together my breastfeeding baskets, and I still have a lot of cleaning and organizing to do around the house.
@lilylover27 I'm happy your shower was fun I haven't had any BH yet so I'm no help in that department, but I'm sorry you've been uncomfortable.
@SWE2 I totally understand the water/Charlie-horse dilemma
@slowmo I'm glad your BP was good, and I hope you get a contingency plan for your son sorted out. That's probably some stress you don't need right now.
@kipperoo I'm so excited for you! 1 week! It sounds like you have some great plans in the meantime too. And yay for hospital bag! I'm fighting the urge to spend way too much money on a diaper bag today. Glad to hear you'll still be checking in
@MrsFox2008 so far I've got receiving blankets, chapstick, books, snacks, diapers, and spare chargers for my cellphone. I'm trying to figure out what else I need so I've been doing some Googling trying to get ideas. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears!
@CherryBananas oh I didn't think to add a rec. blanket. Adding that to my basket! I added burp cloths, nursing pads, lanolin, books to read to baby and DD, a book for myself, notepad and pen (never know when I need to jot something down. Im constantly making lists) and snacks
@lilylover27 we almost have the same story except for the backaches. I've been feeling the same type of discomfort in my lower belly and vaginal area and the baby's movements are uncomfortable some times. Also, I just finished washing all of Noelle's clothes and blankets yesterday and getting the nursery finished and then today I'm going to pack the diaper bag for the hospital. I'll probably start packing my bag this weekend.
@MrsFox2008 and I didn't think of nursing pads! A pad of paper and a pen is a good idea too. I'm always jotting things down, especially since my brain has turned to mush.
Rants/Raves/Questions? rant- all three separate family members who were our options to watch DD while I'm in labor told me today they basically aren't available for the first two weeks of May. In-laws are on a cruise until May 12, my mom booked two weekend vacations for the first and second weekend of May (can possibly help during the week if she's able to cancel clients as she's a hair dresser), and SIL just started working on the days that her boys are with their dad, which are the weekends the other family members are away. Not due until May 31 so I'm hoping baby stays put till 38+ weeks! DD was early so I'm a bit stressed.
Team pink/blue/green? team pink again!
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Buy the bassinet, a chair to nurse in, nursing pillow, set up car seat base in the car & fix the straps on the bucket seat back to the newborn size, buy post partum care supplies, pack hospital bag, and buy some nursing tops/bras
@Kipperoo - Ahhhh, I can't believe you're down to one week! It sounds like you have some fun stuff planned, and hopefully that will help take your mind off things. Keeping you in my thoughts!
@emilyalso - Have you decided on a double stroller? I can't seem to pull the trigger on this.
@CherryBananas - So they're removing your cerclage stitches soon? Yay!
@0408Bear - I'm so sorry you've had such a rough time. You must be exhausted with it all. Hugs to you.
@momma2char - That sucks that everyone is flaking on you. Hoping both our babies stay put until late May! I have a c/s scheduled for May 23, and my mom gets into town May 20. Anything before then gets tricky.
@slowmo yes! In two weeks!! I'm hoping once they come out the OB will be able to lift some of my restrictions - like sex, baths, and walking. It's maybe TMI, but I'd really like to have sex again before this baby comes.
Tuesday Ladies... sorry I've been MIA on our ticker change. I seriously can't believe I missed last week and almost this week's. I am finally on modified duty and still couldn't find the time to Bump today.
@mrsfox2008 i, too, still need to get DS's and LO' s presents. Glad you had a good appt.
@MrsCPALeslie So glad to hear that Noelle doesn't have a cyst on her ovary/ies. Good luck on finding the childcare you need.
@lilylover27 Glad you had a great baby shower and got lots of loot. For me, BH is tightening of the abdomen for a short period of time and then a release. I'm right there with you with lots to do for baby prep... and reading this thread has me adding more to it, lol.
@SWE2 Yeah, what's up with all of the random drive-bys and lurkers coming out now? Not like I'm not supportive but why wait sooooo long especially when this community is pretty much "rainbows & sunshine" as so many have called it...
@slowmo Yaye for good BP. Yes, your to-do list has me adding more to mine, lol.
@kipperoo WOW! So many appointments and 1 week left really?!
@emilyalso Blimping out, lol. Everyone at work has said that I grew more over the weekend.
@cherrybananas Happy you had fun at your baby shower and that you got so much stuff. Woohoo for your stitches coming out soon!
As for me...
How far along are you? 35 weeks
How big is baby? ~5 pounds and 18 inches, a pineapple or bunch of carrots (lol)
Any appointments this week? I will have one on Thursday - ultrasound to check baby's position and swab for group b strep
Symptoms? OMG, yesterday I could barely walk because I could hardly put any weight on my left leg. MH even had to wash my legs and feet in the shower (I was so embarassed and he was like "Oh please, your carrying my baby!") I think baby boy slept on my nerve overnight. It was also my first day of modified duty so thank goodness for that. Luckily, function came back slowly throughout the rest of the day. I woke up this morning and did a happy dance because I was back to "normal pregnancy waddling!" Haha!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I have to say, MH has been super supportive and just all around awesome these last few weeks. I've posted in the randoms thread how my STM anxiety is kicking in because I really am going to miss giving DS all of the attention and feel a little bad that he is still so young (20 months old). BUT, then I daydream about how awesome it will be for him to have a little brother and be able to share and teach him along the way...
Team pink/blue/green? baby boy
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Ha, everything! My coworkers are throwing me a baby shower this Sunday (and going away party) so I'll wait until after that to use my completion discounts and purchase everything else we need. Gotta get the crib out of storage and set that up; Still trying to organize their room and stuff; Gotta wash everything still; Pack my hospital bag; Tour the hospital closest to us in case we don't make it to the preferred one (where DS was born and with the NICU); Finish activity bags; sterilizing bottles and breastpumps... and oh my, the list goes on...
@slowmo - I think I mentioned my dilemma on the Gear thread, so I apologize if you're reading this twice... I really had my heart set on the City Mini Gt Double. We have the single and I can't imagine a better stroller. Sadly, the newer models cannot accommodate our carseat (Chicco Keyfit 30). For a while, I was under the delusion that I could find a used older model AND a used older adapter (neither are available for purchase from retailers any more), but I finally gave up on my search. (I even considered whether I could live with not having my carseat fit in a double and just wear May Baby while they are tiny and have them lie down in the stroller until they could sit up. Ultimately, I was worried I would miss the convenience of popping the seat in.) #strollerstress
Yesterday, I order the Mountain Buggy Duet and I just have my fingers crossed that I can love it.
@MrsCPALeslie That is wonderful news about the cyst or lack thereof! Good luck on finding childcare! Hope it ends up easier than you thing. @lilylover27 Woot for having your shower and getting almost everything you need! @SWE2 Yes to the noticeable increase in drive-bys! @slowmo Now I want steak!! @Kipperoo Your last week plans sound wonderful! And exhausting! @momma2char Oh man that is stressful to have everyone bail! My fingers are crossed that baby sits tights until the end of the month. @emilyalso & @slowmo I cannot pull the trigger either, so I think I am going to just wait it out until baby is here and I have a better idea of what it is like with two. @mrsrep123 I am with you on the STM anxiety. DS is 19 mo and I have an overwhelming feeling like I am going to miss out on him when baby comes and also that I am already missing out because of how exhausted I am.
How far along are you? 33 weeks
How big is baby? Celery I think
Any appointments this week? I had growth ultrasound yesterday and DH was actually able to come. The appointment was at 8:45 and he had to leave by 9:45 to make it to campus to teach a class. My normally extremely punctual Dr walked into the room at 9:46. DH was already in his coat and I was attempting not to cry. I do not blame her as the entire hospital switched to a new computer system and it is going as well as massive computer system changes usually go. He did stay for a couple minutes and sorta got to see the baby. We also found out that baby is currently breech
Symptoms? Hip discomfort is increasing and yesterday I had an extreme wave of nausea out of the blue. After spending some time with my head in the handicap toilet at work I was able to get back to my desk and have DH drive me to my parents house to sleep/hide. DS was at our house with MIL per usual on Tuesdays and I knew I wouldn't be able to relax there.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone have any tips on getting a breech baby to flip?
Team pink/blue/green? Blue
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? Woot to all you ladies prepping baskets and having your bags packed. I have lost all nesting steam and keep thinking "Well my mom would pick up a foster baby in the middle of the night with no notice, so how much do I really need to prep?" Obviously my laziness has taken over my normal ducks-in-a-row attitude. The biggest items on my to do list are finish the last touches on DS' room and get him all moved in, then move newborn stuff into the nursery and bring up the other baby supplies. Also figure out what items I need to buy off my hidden registry and get them ordered with my completion discount. For some reason the purchases are overwhelming me. Oh and I need to pack the hospital bag.
@emilyalso - Man, what is it with Baby Jogger and Chicco? Can't they just get along? I've been strongly considering the City Select because it seems like the best fit for us, but I keep hearing mixed reviews of the carseat adapter for the Keyfit. I was so excited to see a used City Select on one of our swap boards, but it was from 2012 and when I googled Chicco adapters for that model, I got a bunch of stories about a safety recall. I may just buy the new model, but the price tag makes me hesitant. I need to find something, though, because the Chicco Cortina stroller that was part of my travel system won't fit in the trunk of the car I'm driving now (stupid vertical fold). I should have done more research the first time around.
@Louise_Belcher - I'm sorry you've been feeling so crappy! I have no advice re: breech baby, but I hope you're able to take some time to rest. Nausea in the third tri is just plain cruel on top of all the other physical discomfort.
Any appointments this week? I had a thyroid check with my GP and my prenatal with my midwife on Tuesday. Thyroid is still on vacation. My midwife had a student nurse with her and it was fun to listen to her explain belly mapping. Apparently baby girl is "uh, wow, very very low" and fully engaged.
Symptoms? So many contractions. Looking forward to my GBS test next week to see if they're doing anything.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband was super dad this weekend. He got his catheter out on Thursday last week and has been trying to do so much more with the boys. Unfortunately, work is wearing him out this week, but yay, progress.
Team pink/blue/green? Pink.
GTKY: what's left on your to do list for baby? We need to rearrange some furniture in our bedroom now that my husband doesn't need the rocker to sleep. I have a few small things to pick up and then I can pack my hospital bag. We opened all of the baby stuff this weekend so that was a huge step!
Feb 2012: DS1 born 40w2d, 7 lb 11 oz, 20" May 2014: DS2 born 40w3d, 10 lb, 23"
@Louise_Belcher I'm sorry your DH didn't get to stay for your whole appt. Mine hasn't been to an appointment with me in months because of work and it would have upset me too. Our hospital recently switched systems as well and for a few visits they were running super behind. Super annoying when you have to pay for parking.
I would be so annoyed! They should have a policy that you get your parking validated if they are over a certain amount of time late for your appointment!
@Squirtgun it's really irritating. Parking costs at hospitals in my province has been a hot topic for the last year or so. My hospital charges almost $3 every half hour so an extra hour at the hospital every two weeks really adds up.
@CherryBananas Thanks. He has only came to ultrasounds, so he hasn't been to something in a long while and I was excited for him to be there. Cue the water works 45 minutes into our wait. I would be sooo annoyed if I also had to pay for parking! When he does come we usually are driving separately so that much waiting would be with two cars! I can't believe they don't validate parking for you. That just plain sucks.
@Louise_Belcher I probably would have cried too. I'm amazed at how worked up I get during appointments lately and DH is almost never able to come, so if I was actually able to get him there and then he had to leave without being in on the appt -
None of the hospitals here validate parking. My hospital is right in the middle of a big shopping complex, and local businesses hire security guards who will ticket/tow your car if you park there to avoid the fees. Not to mention we are in a newer community so bus service isn't quite up to par yet.

That feeling then releases and I feel almost like I need to release some gas or have a BM (TMI) and then that feeling goes away too. Now sure if I am just having digestive issues or it is BH? He usually moves A LOT after these episodes too.

We'd probably be OK if the action happened during the day, but right now we have no overnight options.
@mrsfox2008 glad the appointment went well this morning!
@slowmo oh a class of Cab would be awesome right about now!

@MrsFox2008 I'm glad your appointment went well!
@MrsCPALeslieThat's great news there is no cyst!
@lilylover27 I'm happy your shower was fun I haven't had any BH yet so I'm no help in that department, but I'm sorry you've been uncomfortable.
@SWE2 I totally understand the water/Charlie-horse dilemma
Glad to hear you'll still be checking in
@emilyalso my H is always like wait there's more on your list every week I mention things I need/want to do before baby! You're right it never ends.
@Kipperoo sounds like you have some fun ahead! Enjoy all your upcoming to dos

Any appointments this week?
none!
Symptoms?
back pain, heartburn & sciatica

Yesterday, I order the Mountain Buggy Duet and I just have my fingers crossed that I can love it.
@lilylover27 Woot for having your shower and getting almost everything you need!
@SWE2 Yes to the noticeable increase in drive-bys!
@slowmo Now I want steak!!

None of the hospitals here validate parking. My hospital is right in the middle of a big shopping complex, and local businesses hire security guards who will ticket/tow your car if you park there to avoid the fees. Not to mention we are in a newer community so bus service isn't quite up to par yet.
