@Louise_Belcher I am doing mostly what you're talking about. There are descriptions and pics from the very informative website called wikihow. Lol most certainly it's legit. But I am doing all the positions described in the link below and then I'm swimming this weekend to try and help. I have not considered moxibustion or hypnosis or chiropractic intervention. But simple things like the positioning my OB ok'd.
@mdlorenz sorry to hear about the mastitis. Hopefully they get to latch soon, I remember how awesome it was to be able to actually not have to deal with the pump 24/7. Are they labeled as feeder and growers yet? Mainly on Brady watch? N/M I'm going to go stalk the NICU thread.
@BabyMC517 - I don't know if they are simply Motherhood Maternity or something other brand but that's where I got mine. Love them!
@mrsrep123 - that's so awful of them to do to you! I'm sorry! I hope something can be done about it.
DD fell asleep on our way home from a kids' consignment sale so I stopped at Wendy's for lunch and am now sitting in the car for the next 30 minutes until DS gets out of preschool. My only regret is switching out my fries for a side salad. Should have gone with fries.

DH and I have been going back and forth between two baby names that we both like but couldn't decide on. He told me that I just needed to pick one. So yesterday I went and got the letters for the nursery and hung them on the wall. He hasn't noticed and I haven't told him about it or that I decided. It's like a game I have going to see how oblivious he is...

When you go back to work after maternity leave, although your pumping sessions make you feel like a dairy cow, it was glorious to have 20 mins of scheduled down time twice a day and you can even shut your eyes for a moment!

I wish naps were a work thing. I had a baby shower at work today (so cute) but they had so many sugar goodies and I over indulged and now I am crashing real hard. Trying to analyze why costs are up when you are tired is NOT easy.
All your Sonic ice talk made me want Sonic so bad! I just grabbed lunch from there including a Cherry Limeade that I sucked down in like 30 seconds and now I wish I could have gotten a bigger one!
@hp_momma ha! That's not unlike my husband. We decided on a name and I ordered a swaddle and hat set with her name printed and when it came he said "oh, that's how we are spelling it?"
Yes dear, spelling was not up for debate. I never asked him how he thought it was spelled though!
I thought for sure he would notice, he noticed a picture sitting on the floor of the nursery but not the giant name on the wall
Oh wow. I thought maybe he hadn't gone into the nursery to notice but the fact that he did and didn't see the giant letters is hilarious. I feel like DH is that kind of guy too.

@clebl24 Haha I didn't even think of that. I mean technically he knew it would be this or another one and approved of either one. If he wasn't so oblivious he wouldn't be left in the dark!
He's working late tonight so I'm betting he won't notice again... even though the nursery is literally across the hall from our bedroom.

@mdlorenz Have you thought about using a supplemental nursing system while practicing breastfeeding? That way, you could still be getting those calories in even if suckling itself isn't productive. Plus, if it lets you practice more, that's great stimulation for your supply.

What do you think? (Reposted from selling boy clothes post, not sure how many are following that). Since our board is so busy right now, maybe we should have a daily random thread. That would keep it all in once place and not clutter it up with unnecessary posts that should go in randoms. We can always change it back later when it slows down.

@kmd1106 in July '14 we had ONE randoms thread. I couldn't begin to keep up and when I tried I felt so lost. Weekly is much better; however, it can still be hard to keep up especially if you go a day or two w/o logging in. On the flip side our randoms conversations tend to carry on from one day to the next. If we change to a daily randoms, would it turn into checking multiple random threads instead on one?
A daily randoms thread isn't a bad idea--I just caught up with like 7 pages and now due to my gestating brain can't remember anything to respond to! Something about ice... and also underwear... and @hp_momma may have picked a name but I can't quite put my finger on it (jk, it's a wonderful name!!)
My only concern with a daily randoms thread is we can and will carry a conversation multiple days and that conversation generally stays in the original thread. I would say maybe we need to be less scared for a little bit about making a new thread, but we are just chatty about random crap that it really belongs in a random thread. I mean, we could try it for a week or something...
The new position is with my current employer and it would essentially be a transfer. The process is all done with online submissions so really nothing for me to sign. There is, however, a "paper trail" of the new manager requesting my release date from my current manager. When discussing the position, I gave full disclosure stating I was 33 weeks pregnant and may be going on modified duty soon. The new manager said we'd work it all out once I was there since the job was mine regardless of being pregnant or not.
I was able to discuss the situation with my main union labor rep. Basically, my employer is adhering to our contract and there is no provision that favors my stance (HR made the mistake and remedied it by offering the position to the "correct" candidateband there is no timeline outlined in which they need to adhere to to do it). She did however state that she will pursue the matter with HR in my defense for "standard of reasonableness."
I mean 2 weeks later they rescind the offer! Ugh! I'm grateful she will try but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I should have an answer either way in about a week. So FX'd.
@mdlorenz mastitis, ouch! Got that last time and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. FX you get relief real fast!
@hp_momma that is hilarious about your H being so oblivious to the huge name on the wall. I like your choice of Levi and it flows well with your girls' names!
It's hard to remember everything I wanted to comment on after catching up at the end of the day.
On a more positive note, I had an appt today where my OB checked the baby's positioning with US. Until now, I didn't know any weight guestimates... was just always told he's right on track. Since this was my last US, she did the measurements and LO is "average sized" at ~5lb 5oz. She said if I don't gain a whole lot of weight these next few weeks, he should be around the same size as my first (7lb 8 oz) at birth. Oh, he's also head down (woohoo).
Oh, that reminded me of you @kayemjay2! Glad yours is also head down and a VBAC may be in your near future!
Just weighing in on the ransoms thread. I don't have any very strong opinions BUT, I think daily might chop it up too much. We already go into the weekend and the weekend random spills over into Monday. I suspect we would have a lot of threads going at the same time. I also suspect that even though so many of us plan to stay here, things will slow down at least somewhat once hogwarts gets rolling. I'd be tempted to wait and see how that plays out before changing too much. I do think a lower threshold for starting new threads is totally ok as long as they're easily generalizable and at least halfway pertinent - we apparently could have had a whole slushy thread but that would be silly hahah.
You ladies make a good point, a daily would probably spill over. That might make it even tougher to catch up. I think the best solution is just to not be afraid to post if it's something many can weigh in on.
We also have a labor thread plus all of our daily threads like UO and FFFC. If we use those for some things that might go in random, that could help too.
