Sadly I don't have any good pranks for fiance planned today.
My c-section was officially scheduled for 4/24! So this weekend we are just cleaning and going to start washing some of the babies things to be ready for his arrival. I think we are also going to try to make it to the beach tomorrow.
Was hoping to do some unpacking today, very light considering I over did it last weekend and paid the price during the week. However, our new bedroom set is currently sitting in the dining room and the mattress is laying on top of the couch. Yeah not much is going to happen today.
Tomorrow is our our baby shower though!! Very excited!!

Have to ask....would it be too cruel to 'have my water break' as my April Fool's prank on H?;
This is one that I would not do. I think pranks should be lighthearted and fun. It should not induce panic and fear for the wellbeing of the baby (which I know would happen to my fiancé as we aren't to the 37-38 week mark "full term" I'm only 36 weeks). Just my opinion.
Have to ask....would it be too cruel to 'have my water break' as my April Fool's prank on H?;
It'd be kind of funny to do to H depending on how you think he'd react! I definitely wouldn't post it on any social media something as part of it though. Those posts are really upsetting to anyone struggling to have a baby or who has dealt with infertility in the past.

My BIL is home from the Navy, so we are having him, his new gf and her son, MIL, and SFIL over for dinner. Our house is a mess, so the morning will be spent cleaning for that. Tomorrow we are going to get the new stroller and car seat!

I'm so excited it's April! My siblings started spring break yesterday and so tomorrow we are heading up to NORVA to go to a huge mall for a couple days. I'm super excited to go shopping. I don't love the coming home outfits I have for DS. After this week I feel like its game time. I'm going to install the car seat and have both checked, put together the bassinet, wash clothes etc. Plus I have DDs party to plan for! Also Easter is this month, so just a lot going on!
Side note: tomorrow starts the double dip diaper deal at Target. Spend $125 get a $20 GC and for every 2 boxes of diapers you buy (certain brands) you get a $10 GC.
Also they are having a big toy sale! A bunch of toys are going to be buy 2 get 1 free, all Lego including Lego Duplo are 20% off and Paw Patrol and Shimmer and Shine toys are on sale!
Completely random question, but I've seen the shimmer and shine toys mentioned a couple of times lately. Does anyone know what age range that is geared towards? I have 2 nieces that are both around 4 (one about to be 5, one that turns 4 next month). With the deal @bacorrea mentioned, I was thinking of buying for b-days/Christmas (yes, I'm that person already buying Christmas gifts! Lol).
I'm going in to work for a few hours today to build up time for upcoming doctor's appointments so that I can save my vacation time for maternity leave. One of my ex-coworkers is going to meet me to bring an end table for the nursey and I'm going to make my husband paint it a fun color next weekend. Also, I'm going to wash baby girl's clothes today so that I can pack the diaper bag.
On Sunday, we are going to buy all the essentials that we didn't get from our baby shower. So mainly the car seat and stroller, diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and a few other things. Plus I'm obviously sneaking in something for myself. Haha
Good luck to everyone who is having their baby showers this weekend.
Lots of cleaning to do this weekend, mainly in DDs room. Might get around the organizing my craft supplies. Also I need to start getting things together for DDs Easter basket!
@bacorrea thanks for the reminder on the diaper deal
@ChristinaWild DD will be three soon and she is into Shimmer and Shine. Doesn't actually watch the show but has a tshirt and likes to point out the toys in store and now that I think of it sings the theme song somehow lol. But there was an older maybe 4 yr old girl at the park yesterday who pointed out DDs shirt and seemed interested too.
@bacorrea Thanks for the heads up! I know we've talked about it before long ago but does anyone remember how many boxes we should start with for each size diaper?
As far as our weekend goes I did escape to buy ziplock space bags when DH got home from work last night so now I can pack up some clothes etc and store under the bed to start to make progress toward getting the crib up. Also, we are planning on going to a Nicaraguan restaurant with MIL and SIL to celebrate what would have been FILs 60th bday but suddenly passed two years ago. He is Nicaraguan and would've loved it! Then we have a bday party for DDs little friend at the park tomorrow am.
I'm getting ready to help make cinnamon rolls...60 dozen to be exact! We will them on Easter to raise money for youth missions. It's fun! My last baby shower is this afternoon and then we are going over to some friends to watch the Oregon basketball game tonight....go ducks!!
@ChristinaWild well I can tell you DD is turning 3 and we are having a Shimmer & Shine party. While looking for cake ideas I've seen girls up to 5 having Shimmer and Shine parties. It comes on Disney Junior so it is geared to the younger crowd. I would think it would be your nieces age, it's hard it's a newer show and it's just starting to get attention/obsessive fan base ha. It's about the twin Genies and their human friend Leah.
Today, we are having a play date with a friend of DD's that recently left her preschool. Then DD and I are meeting another friend and her mom (my friend) to check out Boss Baby. After that, we're bringing DD's friend home with us for a sleepover tonight. Tomorrow we are going to the pride parade. The Final Four is also in town, so we're hoping to check out the free Nathanial Rateliff, Blink 182, Macklemore,& Aerosmith concert. Since we're bringing DD, we only have plans to stay for Nathanial Rateliff and Blink 182. The rest will likely be too late/too long.

60 dozen?! Holy smokes I'm impressed! And I will be cheering the Ducks on tonight as well, I'm an alum! I have to close at work, so I'm already prepared to be unproductive due to the game
Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned! I'm just hoping for a few glimpses of sun!
Today, we're just cleaning and organizing and then tonight I'm going out for (virgin) margaritas with one of my friends, while DH hosts her husband and DS for macaroni and cheese at home. Tomorrow, BIL and SIL are coming over for dinner.
My cousin took me for a foot treatment at a spa this morning. It was a hot foot soak and 45 minute foot and leg massage. It was amazing and I'm so relaxed!
DH and I are going to play board games with friends tonight, so it'll be great to get out of the house. We thought our closing date was April 21st but it's actually the 28th, so I feel like it's too early to start packing, which was my original plan this weekend.

I just read a list on fb for a supportive moms group where someone was asking for help finding a place to rent that will accept her German shepherd. Sounds ok right? Until someone posts that they should go only and pay $60 for an ESA (emotional support animal) license and get the tags, a vest, and an ID that says you can't turn them down to rent to. Where's the angry face emoji when you need it?! It makes me so mad that people do this! There are individuals out there who truly need an ESA and these people think it's fine to get a certificate online just so they can rent something or go somewhere! Drives me nuts!!! Sorry just had to get that out...back to happy fun filled weekends now!!

@BabyMC517 Its ridiculous the amount of times people recommend on our spouse pages at the military bases to register their dog as a "therapy dog" so people have to rent to them. It happens all the time! I get it's tough to move around a lot and have to pay pet deposits or find a house in general that allow pets, but it's ridiculous to lie and register them as therapy dog! It's such a big problem here that our military hospital had to just implement a new stricter policy about therapy dogs and bringing them to the hospital.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this depending on your H's reaction. DH would no fun to do it to because he would be slightly nervous but would act completely calm about it.
ETA to say that it can be funny, depending on how long you keep up the joke for. The longer it goes probably the less funny if your H would react strongly.

Im supposed to be cleaning and organizing like many of you but instead I've been to IHOP, shopped online, and watched Coming to America. We did secure child care yesterday though so that's a huge cross off on my list!
Today is my baby's 2nd bday! As far as the pranking labor I'm against it. Mostly because it would scare everyone at 35.5 weeks and because no one would believe me since DS was an April fools baby haha. We are having a very small pizza party with immediate family and DS is totally understanding that it's his bday and it's the sweetest thing to watch. I've been looking forward to this day! Once we get through today and DS 2 year checkup I'm excited to hit week 37 when DS came and pray for a healthy hopefully 37+ week boy number 3!!
Haven't read through but had to share: DH is sending everyone (and I mean everyone) prank texts that I went into labor. I'm feeling so guilty for allowing it that it's giving me heartburn.
@BabyMC517: that seriously irks me! Part of being a pet owner is knowing there will be expenses (both normal & unexpected) along the way. Rental pet fees fall squarely in the normal category and trying to skirt that is just not right. I'm not judging the original poster since it seems like they were just looking for recs on where to live, but to see so many people be suggesting to be sneaky is just sad.
Glad I'm not the only one it bothers trying to get your pet to be a service animal. The OP of that discussion didn't respond to that person so I don't think they will be going that route, by for someone to suggest just irritates me. We are finding it more and more on our campus as well. Since I work in the office that handles these situations we've had an influx of stufesnts requesting them for the dorm after seeing other legitimate students with there's. It's driving me crazy! Student have to provide documentation for the ESA in the dorm so we are doing all that we can do, now if housing could just get them to stop sneaking them in that would be great! They have a fine now though so that's seemed tos top it for the time being

Renovating our bathrooms is the next big project on our home-improvement list, and today Hubs says he wants a smaller shower in our bathroom because... it never gets cleaned. What's crazy to me is that I KNOW before we got married that he cleaned the bathrooms twice/month, and that magically screeched to a halt once I arrived on the scene. Should I pitch in more? Sure! But it's just odd that he doesn't even continue with the level of maintenance that he did before.
In about 30 minutes, I am headed to a neighborhood ladies' get-together/sprinkle for the 3 of us who are pregnant (all with our second babies). It is VERY sweet that they are doing it, but I rarely participate in these things and I feel sort of guilty. I just hope no one got a gift out of obligation... Like if there are 15 women there and I only have 3 gifts, I am TOTALLY OK with that.
ETA: Two of us preggos walked up at the same time - based on the 3pm start time on the FB event - and the woman hosting said it didn't start until 5:30. AWKWARD.

I used to use my dogs as therapy dogs. We would go to an Alzheimer's unit every week and visit with the residents and they loved it. But mine are not traditional therapy dogs and I would never use that to get them in somewhere. It's disrespectful to those that actually need it. Plus the traditional therapy dogs are specifically trained for each circumstance. Not surprising people take a shortcut to get what they want. I agree that if you own pets you understand the responsibility of paying for them and certain disadvantages that come along with them.
Random question...what do all the little icons mean beneath our names? Like the conversation bubble, heart etc? What are they supposed to indicate?
I know the cake with number is how many years you've been on TB. The heart is when you have "liked" so many things. The speech bubble is from starting posts. The @ is for tagging people. I'm not sure how the numbers are calculated or what the checkmark is (it might be answering official "questions"). There's a key somewhere, but I'm not sure where or that I could find it on mobile.
