How far along are you? 34 Weeks!
How big is baby? A butternut squash according to my signature
Any appointments this week? Yep, today! Looks like we have a lot of appointments today! We are getting another ultrasound done to check his growth as last time they measured him at 34 weeks not 32 weeks and estimated 5.7 pounds! Let's hope he was just in a growth spurt and evened out now!
Symptoms? Heartburn, fatigue (due to the fact I cannot get comfortable lying down), some pubic bone pain, what I believe are Braxton Hicks contractions (going to ask about this today too) and getting more emotional/moody
Team pink/blue/green? Blue!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: I think I have like a heat rash/skin sensitivity rash on the underside of my belly. It just started yesterday. I think it is a combination of stretching skin, heat from the clothes I wear and the fact that the band of my maternity jeans doesn't stay up anymore (my belly is too big!). GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Non Baby Related: Being able to get comfortable and move around easier. I plan on going back to my boot camp classes when I am cleared to do so. I just hate the endless uncomfortable feeling I have all the time, but he is worth it Baby Related: So many things! I cannot wait to meet him and snuggle with him! I cannot wait to see DH as a Dad, I know he will do great he is already so good with babies. I just can't wait to see how our little family grows throughout the years!

Any appointments this week? Checkup next week (going every two weeks at this point)
Symptoms? I think I woke up to pee six times last night. Or, rather I woke up to shift positions, and each time I had this internal battle about whether I should pee. And then of course the more I think about it, the more I have to go.
Team pink/blue/green? Girl
Rants/Raves/Questions? Question: Where will your baby sleep at night in the beginning? I'm trying to avoid the RNP this time because we had a flat head issue with my son. I have this Graco mini PNP (Travel Lite Crib, I think?), but my son hated it. Just curious what everyone else is doing in case I need a backup plan!
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Baby smell and baby snuggles. I loved having a tiny sleeping baby on me! NBR: Wine, hands down.
@MrsFox2008 - Yay for new clothes! I'm banking tax return money to use on new clothes after I return to a somewhat workable size. I have a friend of a friend who helps with that sort of thing professionally, and I may hire her for help!
@MrsCPALeslie - Good luck at your appointment! I hope you get encouraging news. I saw the pics from your shower in that other thread. Loved your dress!
@lilylover27 - I hope your U/S goes well. I'm curious to hear how big baby is!
@slowmo we are planning on just putting our playpen in our room. I was given a 2nd hand bassinet but it looks like a death trap so I'm not going to use it.
How far along are you? 33 weeks!
How big is baby? Celery?
Any appointments this week? None
Symptoms? Mostly the same. I'm constantly clearing my throat though because of the heartburn and I think DH is going to murder me in my sleep soon.
Team pink/blue/green? Blue
Rants/Raves/Questions? My shower is also on Sunday! I'm so excited. I have a bunch of friends coming in from out of town that I don't get to see very often. My mom and girlfriend are hosting it at my house though since I'm practically housebound now and it just occurred to me yesterday that I have no idea how I'm going to get this place cleaned in time.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Baby related: meeting him, snuggles, baby smell, watching DH be a dad. Non-baby related: wine, my hot tub, sex, yoga, walking, wearing my clothes again.
@slowmo we plan on using the Halo bassinet we are getting from our shower. I am not sure how it is though! @cherrybananas yay we are shower buddies! Mine is out but I wish they had it at my Mom's like I suggested.

Any appointments this week? Weekly check today-nothing new. Final ultrasound Tuesday to check baby's size and position. First pelvic exam to check for dilation too! Yes, I'm actually excited about it because curiosity is killing me!
Symptoms? Continued pressure and pain in my lower abdomen. Easily winded and very swollen feet!
Team pink/blue/green? Team pink.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: I'm so tired of this GD diet. I want cake SO badly but I know that too many high glucose spikes can harm baby. I have the top of our baby shower cake in the freezer. Rave: I think we have everything we need for baby ready to go. Bags are packed for me, baby, DH and DS. Carseat is certified and checked.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Can't wait to hold baby and take her on walks this spring! Looking forward to alcoholic beverages this summer and continued weight loss. I had a very hard time losing weight prior to pregnancy and I'm down 6lbs now from the day I found out I was expecting. Apparently, pregnancy has been great for my metabolism and blood pressure. Doctor said I should be around 20lbs lighter after the baby is born, so by the time I'm a couple weeks postpartum I'm hoping to be down about 30lbs.
ETA: Looking forward to eating foods that have been off limits to me for the last 15 weeks. Pizza, cake, brownies, Chinese food, french fries...
@mrsfox2008 Looking forward to DS's reaction too. He's 10 and has wanted a sibling to play with for so long! I asked him the other day if he was going to cry when he saw his baby sister and he said, "No. Well, maybe". He is so good with babies too!
@lilylover27 yay! I would have loved to do it somewhere else, because while I have room for 25 people in my house, it's not ideal. I'm seriously considering paying someone to help me clean.
@MrsFox2008 Wow weekly already! @MrsCPALeslie Hope the sonogram goes well! @lilylover27 Very interested to hear how baby is measuring today! I have an ultrasound next week and have a feeling that I will be in the same boat (large baby). @slowmo We have a fold up travel bassinet that we will use again (kinda like this), but will probably transition to crib quicker this time.
How far along are you? 32 weeks (this feels like a milestone, but I am not sure why)
How big is baby? Jicama? According to Baby Story.
Any appointments this week? Nope. Blood work next Monday and a follow up and u/s on Tuesday.
Symptoms? Shooters from my crotch down the insides of my legs when walking. Very tight belly in the evening. Generally uncomfortable and emotional. Can I just sleep for the next 8 weeks?!
Team pink/blue/green? Team Blue for the second time
Rants/Raves/Questions? Life has been extra stressful lately. By the time DH comes home from work on my days off I basically need to go in the bedroom and lay down leaving him with managing all the evening things and DS (1.5yr). I feel extra guilty because he is beyond overworked this semester and is averaging about 4-5hrs a night of sleep due to prepping new courses. When he came to bed last night (about 2:45a) I could hear DS screaming from his crib, so I got up to calm him down. When I returned to the room DH was laying in the dark crying so hard I don't think he could catch his breath. This semester is breaking him. I wish I had a time machine to get us into May, so he can have a break for a minute before baby comes. Sorry this is not a rant or rave or question, but thank you for letting me vent.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Baby related: Seeing his face and establishing a routine Non-baby related: Beer on my parents back deck, getting back into my clothes I miss, not hurting most of the time, and sleeping on my stomach
@lilylover27 Oh man! I had an US done at 30.5 weeks and she was measuring 33 weeks at 4.3# (yikes!). I told my OB bc we had it done at a boutique and he didn't seem as concerned as us about a big baby. I won't get and US until 38 weeks to check size. Curious to see how your US goes. Also, have fun at your shower.
@slowmo we have a PNP that we will have set up in our room for the first few months. Waiting to transition until 4-6 months as our bedroom is on the main floor and babies is upstairs.
How far along are you? 32 weeks
How big is baby? Armadillo
Any appointments this week? None
Symptoms? Pelvic pain (SPD), having an empty bladder helps so I pee a lot even if I don't have to, Hungry. All. The. Time!
Team pink/blue/green? Pink
Rants/Raves/Questions? Got everything off our registry put away and organized so now it's just a waiting game.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) sleeping on my stomach, seeing DH as a father and experiencing all of the Firsts. First smile, roll over. Also the holidays and seeing how our little family grows.
@CherryBananas I would definitely consider hiring someone to clean or getting some family in on it! @Louise_Belcher so sorry your DH is being killed with work! I hope he can get a break soon! I hope your US goes well and baby isn't measuring too big! I am more curious to see what the OB says because she said they will re-measure and then we can discuss options. I am curious as to what these options are! @SWE2 I only got an ultrasound last time because I had a low lying placenta so they need to check to see if it moved up and figured why not measure baby at the same time! I was also curious because every time they felt my stomach they said he felt big! Well guess he is!

@lilylover27 , I'm with you on waiting for the end of this discomfort. I feel like I'm constantly yelping and complaining.
@slomo, @CherryBananas, I've started picking up bottles of wine in anticipation of being able to actually enjoy them in a few weeks and I CAN'T WAIT. For night sleeping, we are planning on using a Graco Rock and Play Bassinet--it's flat bottomed and super lightweight/easy to move from room to room. We also bought a little portable vibrator thingy to clip to the side, in case it turns out she's like my DS was and can't sleep without some kind of movement the first few weeks.
@Louise_Belcher , ugh...I'm sorry. It sounds like your little family is under a tremendous amount of stress and pressure. Is there someone that could come and help with the evenings on your days off? Here's hoping for some relief for you both.
@SWE2 , holidays with a new baby really are the sweetest!
How far along are you? 34 weeks! 2 weeks to induction...eek!
How big is baby? At my ultrasound last week, she was 5 pounds, 3 ounces...but according to my signature, the size of a full size bag of potato chips!
Any appointments this week? Yep, just an NP/NST check in tomorrow. Two appointments next week, a couple of steroid shots, and I'm DONE.
Symptoms? The usual...feeling like I might explode, super moody, occasional awful heartburn, constant and sometimes painful baby movements.
Team pink/blue/green? Pink!
Rants/Raves/Questions? I've been actively avoiding having a shower for this baby, but my co-workers are insisting on it (and it's supposed to be a surprise). I have no registry (cleared everything off a few weeks ago when it was clear that the long distance family wasn't going to ask if we needed anything and I wanted to buy everything that we needed)....so, now who knows what awaits me, haha...
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) Baby related: I am excited to see her little personality. Even as a baby, there were little glimmers of DS's personality that are still SO present in him at 2.5 years old. I also sometimes feel like I'm constantly living with a stranger and I'm ready for our little family to feel complete. Non-baby related: Maternity leave (mostly because people at work are driving me nuts lately), spring/early summer vacations that we have planned--really looking forward to this, with DS, we didn't really go ANYWHERE and I realize now how much easier it was to travel with a newborn than I thought at the time. Not going anywhere big, just some long weekend getaways, but it will be fun! And ALCOHOL. I miss having a scotch at night with DH and a couple of glasses of wine with dinner. Or a few beers with friends on the weekend.
@Kipperoo I know I say this every week but I can't believe how close you are! It's so exciting!
I never thought I would miss alcohol as much as I do because I'm not a big drinker. Lately I've really been craving wine. And I miss rye & gingers so much!
@Kipperoo Oh man! 2 weeks! I have my fingers, toes, and everything else crossed that it goes so smooth for you. Thanks for the support. I do feel bad for complaining. None of us have it easy right now. I think the wave of 3rd trimester emotions is hitting hard and my rock (DH) is feeling less then stable himself at the moment. We utilize our supports during the day extensively, but it doesn't leave much for evenings. We may need to ask for some more help to get us through the next few weeks. Also your comment about living with a stranger is exactly how I have been feeling. @CherryBananas Thank you. He will have the summer off from teaching and currently does not have anything lined up to be doing (first time ever!). He is planning on starting private practice in July, but if he doesn't get his insurance panel paperwork in soon that will probably be pushed back. So despite having a newborn he may end up with some more sleep this summer then he has been getting this semester. Fingers crossed for good sleepers for everyone!
How far along are you? 33 weeks (Scheduled C - 5/10)
How big is baby? Honeydew Melon or Ferret
Any appointments this week? None this week
Symptoms? Life is uncomfortable
Team pink/blue/green? TEAM GREEN
Rants/Raves/Questions? 2 RAVES: 1) In addition to the ceiling fan, we have added a box fan by my side of the bed and it's heavenly. The noise + the extra air is perfection. 2) I had hoped to make it to 18 mos before cutting DS's hair, but it was getting a little out of control. I woman-ed up and took him yesterday, and it went SO WELL! The lady that did it was so sweet, and she listened to exactly what I wanted. I thought I would be traumatized, but I was quite pleased.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related) I can't wait for newborn+sibling photos - I think they will be ADORABLE! I guess this is still baby related, but I am looking forward to wearing normal clothes again!
@MrsCPALeslie - I hope y'all get a good report today! Also, THUMBS UP on the haul from your shower... you racked up!
@slowmo - My favorite is when I hoist myself from the bed and trek to the bathroom only to go 3 drops. But it felt like an EMERGENCY! *sigh* Also, this baby will likely nap in the RNP or swing (out in the house where I can watch both babies) and sleep in the 'top shelf' part of our pack-n-play. We had it set up for DS, and it served as our diaper station too.
@CherryBananas - Sometimes it helps me to burp when I have bad heartburn, and I'm pretty sure my husband is no longer attracted to me.
@fbmandy55 - Thanks a lot... now I want pizza, cake, brownies, Chinese food, and french fries!
@Louise_Belcher - I hope y'all can both find a way to get a breather! It sounds like full plates all around, and I know the thought of adding a tiny baby to the mix is probably overwhelming.
@Louise_Belcher sorry about all the stress your family is under. I hope his planning will be finished soon so it's one less thing off his plate.
@Kipperoo I'm the same as @CherryBananas with saying I cannot believe how close you are! I still have 8 weeks and I was excited how close I was getting.
I havent missed alcohol during during this pregnancy but last Friday was in the 80s!! (Back in the 40s-50s) I wanted a drink. It was the perfect day drinking weather. Plus I see that oberon is released for the season and I love it with an orange slice.
@lilylover27 thanks! All went well bp is slightly elevated, we'll see how it is next week! @slowmo DH and I plan to keep this LO in a bassinet for a few months then move her into her crib! @CherryBananas Thanks!! Yay for your baby shower this weekend hope you get all you need @fbmandy55 weekly appointments here too! 1cm dilated yay for progress. Sounds like y'all are ready to go. DH and I have a few more to dos are were set to go!! your son sounds sweet, I'm sure he'll make a great big brother. @SWE2 great idea. I should have totally bought these cute shorts I saw today at target to be my motivation!!! @Kipperoo I'm sorry, 3 weeks that's rough. Hope you feel better soon. Wow 2 weeks to go, getting so so so close. @emilyalso yay for 1st hair cut. DH and I can't bring ourselves to give baby girl a hair cut and she's 2 1/2!!! Haha
@Louise_Belcher I'm so sorry to hear how rough your husband is having it. Thirty-two weeks is a milestone according to the lovely app DH's company's health insurance puts out. Apparently now baby would just be "preterm" or something.
How far along are you? 33 weeks
How big is baby? Ferret

Symptoms? Exhaustion, aches and pains, normal end of pregnancy complaints
Team pink/blue/green? Pink
Rants/Raves/Questions? Thank you all for the supportive blood pressure comments last week. I didn't get back to the board in time to say it then without horribly bumping the thread.
GTKY: What are you looking forward to most after baby gets here? (Baby related and non baby related)
Not being pregnant? I practically skipped around the hospital after DS2's birth because I felt so much better not pregnant. I'm looking forward to newborn snuggles and (hopefully) breastfeeding again too. I'd like to be able to get back to being more active because endorphins do a lot for my mental health!
Feb 2012: DS1 born 40w2d, 7 lb 11 oz, 20" May 2014: DS2 born 40w3d, 10 lb, 23"
@0408Bear Hoping it's not pre-e for you! I've had high BP for years but somehow in pregnancy, it's been much lower. Pretty sure I'm just a freak of nature.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a quick update on my appointment yesterday! Little guy's femur bones were measuring on track at 34 weeks but his abdomen and his head were still ahead at 36 weeks. The doctors don't seem concerned but it make me nervous that now not everything is in proportion but they assured me it is within a normal range from each other. They are estimating he is about 6.3 pounds already and his heartrate was 143 which I was told was perfect. His kidney's, bladder and stomach all look great. He is measuring in the 77th percentile! Still have more fluid than normal, but it stood the same amount since last time, and they said it is just high but not where they have to be concerned. He is also still head down which is good. I go back in another 2 weeks for another ultrasound because even though they aren't concerned they said they want to keep and eye on his growth, maybe induce if he is too big? We will see! The OB did joke and say let's hope he comes sooner rather than later.
Oh and the OB thinks the rash on my stomach is the beginning of PUPPS which stinks. Still there today and itchy but I am not sure if I am comfortable with taking even doctor prescribed steroids or allergy medication. For now it is just Aveeno and cold compresses.

@lilylover27 sorry about the PUPPS. Are the lotions and compresses helping?
Totally understandable that you would be nervous about the discrepancy between his femur and other measurements, but good news that the docs aren't concerned! I'm glad they're going to keep a close eye on it for you. Thanks for the update
@CherryBananas so far the lotion and cold compresses are helping but it just started two days ago, I am hoping it stays contained to my stomach. I have read a lot of women have it spread to their legs, butt and back even.
Married: June 2011 TTC #1: September 2015-January 2016 BFP #1: 1/25/16 - MMC Diagnosed 3/22/16 TTCAL: June 2016 BFP #2: 8/26/16 - EDD 5/9/17 Jackson born 5/6/17 at 8:36 PM - 9lbs 5oz & 21in
All that worked for me with PUPPS was oatmeal baths 3xday...I can't tell you it was pleasant at all:/ it was awful. I also wasn't comfortable with the RX'ed allergy meds so I toughed it out with the baths. I feel for you and know your misery:/
@lilylover27 woo hoo to a good growth scan! I'm glad he's measuring good. He just needs a little more time to cook and hopefully will even out. Sorry about the PUPPS just add that to more uncomfortable third trimester symptoms. Luckily you only have 6 weeks if not sooner to go!

(Baby related and non baby related)
Baby related: Seeing his face and establishing a routine
Non-baby related: Beer on my parents back deck, getting back into my clothes I miss, not hurting most of the time, and sleeping on my stomach

@MrsCPALeslie hope your scan goes well!

@MrsFox2008 , I'm sorry you have a cold...I've been hanging onto one for like 3 weeks. It's SO annoying.
@MrsCPALeslie & @fbmandy55, FX that your ultrasounds go well!!
I never thought I would miss alcohol as much as I do because I'm not a big drinker. Lately I've really been craving wine. And I miss rye & gingers so much!

@slowmo DH and I plan to keep this LO in a bassinet for a few months then move her into her crib!
@CherryBananas Thanks!! Yay for your baby shower this weekend hope you get all you need
@fbmandy55 weekly appointments here too!
Haha

Oh and the OB thinks the rash on my stomach is the beginning of PUPPS which stinks. Still there today and itchy but I am not sure if I am comfortable with taking even doctor prescribed steroids or allergy medication. For now it is just Aveeno and cold compresses.

Totally understandable that you would be nervous about the discrepancy between his femur and other measurements, but good news that the docs aren't concerned! I'm glad they're going to keep a close eye on it for you. Thanks for the update
