Re: 1st Trimester Check In: Week of March 27th!
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 10w3d EDD 10/21/17
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Had a migraine Friday, and nausea kicked in to full gear so it has been a rough past few days with no sleep at night. I took a nap today(Sunday) though so that was nice. I can't seem to find a comfortable position at night, and every time I move, I get nauseous.
3. When is your next appointment? Friday!!!
4. Anything else you'd like to share? Not really, I'm just really tired and want to sleep for a few days.
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW! I have really found prenatal yoga to be incredibly stress relieving during this time. I feel like I took a nap after doing a 20 minute session. There are so many videos on youtube for it as well. Also, I keep an aromatherapy diffuser in our bedroom with lavender oil, and it feels very relaxing once I go in there. When DH is in town, I ask him to draw on my back at night, and that helps me relax too

2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Nausea if I don't eat, kicked the insomnia with taking unisom (like a quarter pill, didn't take much!)
3. When is your next appointment? Next week Tuesday with my OB. Still very little signs so I'm always anxious for the next appt
4. Anything else you'd like to share? I had a great group supporting us during IVF so we obviously shared our success. Every single person has guessed boy due to my no symptoms (I had light symptoms with my daughter). We will see!
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW!
Trying to keep my mind occupied. Baking, going for walks, things that relax me. I wasn't this anxious with my daughter so I'm guessing it's just the fact that it took years to get here- ?
2. Lovely pregnancy symptoms? The wackiest dreams ever, and I've had some pretty crazy pre-pregnancy dreams. Walking up at least 2x in the night to pee. Takes between 15-25 minutes to go back to sleep. I . Super nose/ sneezing. Not sure why that but maybe ,nose is a filter? Exhausted in the morning to get up for my injection.
3. Next appointment? I need to call my OBGYN to make one today because I've graduated from my fertility clinic as of Friday.
4. Anything else to share? Hubby and I don't know when to tell my Mom. We've been kind of hurt by her lack of compassion and having faith that we'd have a baby. I know it's taken forever I KNOW! Her and my sister have been really insensitive to them calling 2 kids at their church their grandchildren /neices. I want to tell her, we're also worried she'll increase my stress levels. We live a couple of hours away so it's easier to avoid taking about.
QOTW: It varies. Having support from women who've walked this path really helps, and distractions. I go back to work Wednesday which is making me a bit anxious. Small children lifting and germs! I'm to be very careful lifting.
7 weeks and 5 days
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Headaches, tired, weird dreams, super nose, some food aversion at times
3. When is your next appointment?
Wed! I will have another ultrasound with my RE and then I should graduate if everything looks good! I already made my apt with the OB and good thing I did, they couldn't get me in for 3 weeks!
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
Getting very excited to stop my PIO shots, it has been a long time of shots everyday! RE said I can stop at 10 weeks, so couple more weeks!
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW!
1. How far along are you? 6 weeks, 3 days What is your EDD? 11/17...but will probably get an update on that.
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Low-key nausea, EXTREMELY tired.
3. When is your next appointment? 4/4 for another ultrasound.
4. Anything else you'd like to share? I've never been more anxious in my life than during the five minutes the RE and tech were scrutinizing the ultrasound with strange looks on their faces without saying anything to us at all, just muttering to each other. Then the RE came over to us and started talking in a somber voice...it took him another minute to get out the triplet news! My mind was reeling with what sort of bad news he was gearing up to tell us lol...turns out, it was just good news x3! We transferred two embryos--turns out both of them stuck and one of them split. All three are measuring pretty much right on track (Baby A is measuring 6+4 and Babies B and C are measuring 6+1) and heart rates are good (all three are over 125bpm). I would be lying if I didn't say I'm almost as terrified as I am happy.
I also get to cut my meds in half today for the remaining four weeks I'll be taking them, so I'm happy about that as well!
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW! I try to take a walk every day and carve out time to talk with friends. DH and I are trying to get everything in now that we won't be able to do for a long time after the babies come--lounging around, going to the movies, traveling. I also started seeing an infertility therapist about three months ago, and I have to say that it has helped immeasurably!
@ChocolateIsLife I'm sorry you're not feeling well! I'm grateful to have not had too many symptoms (yet) but have definitely thought about how I was totally not prepared for how terribly tired I feel all of the time. Here's to hoping the coming weeks bring you some relief!@Polythene Pam OMG, I cracked up when I read about your OB changing your due date! IVF is so exact!! I had to call my OB today to make an appointment for after I graduate (my clinic won't graduate you if you don't have an appointment already scheduled, so they recommended I do it today) and the lady on the phone argued with me about how they would "figure out an exact week measurement" when I came in, instead of listening to what I told them. Haha, I just said okay.
@vintage girl I'm sorry about your mom. It's so hard when the people around us can't or won't give us the support we need. Sending you hugs as you make your decision!
@gatorgirl2009 Good luck on Wednesday! Keep us updated!!
Hi ladies! So excited to finally be able to join this board
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? - I'm 6 weeks today. EDD- Nov 20th
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Tired, Smelling everything, finally filling out my bras haha & yesterday started to have a few moments of nausea. So far it goes away as long as I eat something.
3. When is your next appointment? Not until April 12th
4. Anything else you'd like to share? People will think I'm crazy but I'm kind of welcoming the nausea. Makes me really know I'm pregnant lol
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels?- I've been taking yoga classes at my gym lately & really trying my best to not google every symptom or lack of symptom.
@srh18 triplets! So exciting!! Congrats!
@famiylgrl86 I was semi nauseus over the weekend and actually cheered. It went away. I'm back to literally no signs haha. I had morning sickness with my daughter so I know to just enjoy this but... SOME sign would be nice
@vintage girl (HOW do you enter spaces?) I understand what you mean. Both of my sisters were adopted as my parents had trouble conceiving, so over the summer I told my one sister we were choosing between adoption and IVF. She was so excited that we were thinking adoption. We chose IVF for personal reasons. I told my sisters the news about IVF and they said "cool!" then never asked for a single update, never asked how I was, never said a word. It was hard. I finally told them the news that we were expecting and they were excited but still, no asking for updates or anything (with my daughter they were overjoyed). It's strange to have family not supportive. Hope your mom comes around to being more supportive and understanding
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? Today is 6w, 3 days
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Fatigue, peeing more. Anxiety (though doing better this week), and bloating.
3. When is your next appointment? This Friday! Our first ultrasound!
4. Anything else you'd like to share? Ever since my positive beta, I've been dying to have our ultrasound. Now as that date is drawing near, I'm suddenly also getting nervous. Nervous about where the baby is, if there's a hb, and how many...
What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? This may sound a little silly, but I put together a small "feel-better" box in my purse. It has preggie pops, crackers, ginger gum, and other little things that I can turn to if I start to feel nauseated. Being prepared always helps me with my anxiety.
@srh18 remind me- what were your beta numbers?

1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 13 weeks 5 days; EDD 9/28. It's my last week on the 1st trimester board!
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? Still getting almost daily heartburn and the frequent peeing seems to be turning up a notch.
3. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow is my 2nd appt with OB, and they may throw in an ultrasound even though I had my NT scan last week. Gotta love being "high risk" due to IVF and AMA.
4. Anything else you'd like to share? We made it Facebook official last week and were amazed by the outpouring of love and support. Now we're anxiously awaiting results of the blood test (materniT21) we got on Wednesday.
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW! Honestly my January FET group and this board have been a wonderful resource. I agree with you all that having a support system including other women who've dealt with IF is immensely helpful. My other stress relievers are acupuncture and getting back to working out. DH and I are CrossFitters, so keeping that part of my routine--and the accompanying community--has been great.
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 9w5d, 10/26/17
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? I am still having a hard time with nausea and food aversions. It takes me all day to think about what I want to eat and what I think I might be able to eat.
3. When is your next appointment? Tomorrow! I’ll be 9w6d my OB is bringing me in for an early U/S and dating scan. Can’t wait to see my bean again, I hope they are doing ok!
4. Anything else you'd like to share? Not a lot new right now. Still finishing up with the move

I can def be one to over analyze everything, but I just find it weird that my breast tenderness just went away overnight. They don't seem as swollen as they have been (I'm 6 weeks 1 day). I don't have any cramping or blood to indicate anything is wrong so hoping I'm just being ridiculous. I had nausea Sunday & a little yesterday & now I feel fine on that front too.
@Polythene Pam I had lower back aches yesterday that I think go along with the cramping and stretching of my uterus. Was yours lower or upper??
1. How far along are you? What is your EDD? 12 weeks, 5 days, EDD 10/5/17
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having? The last few days I've been pretty good with the nausea symptoms and have even been able to tolerate chicken again, which is good. We went grocery shopping yesterday and I bought a lot of high protein and iron meals/snacks to make sure babies get their proper amounts. So tired all the time still and have been unable to start exercising but I plan to do that as soon as I feel more like myself (hoping 2nd tri will be the ticket)
3. When is your next appointment? Monday the 3rd is my second appt with OB. They'll be checking my thyroid and doing an U/S. DH is able to go to this one, so it's the first time in awhile he's been to one to be able to meet my OB and see the babies on the u/s.
4. Anything else you'd like to share? Last Monday we got the non-invasive Last Monday we got the non-invasive pre-natal chromosome test done and the results came back as "inconclusive" which I guess means they couldn't find enough fetal DNA in my blood. They took another blood draw yesterday, and said this sometimes happens when you aren't far enough along or also with overweight women (I have a little bit of extra fat around my middle) but they were pretty sure it would work this time since I'm further along. Just frustrating to have to wait longer to get those results. We'll also be able to find out if we're having two girls or if one is a boy, so eager to know that! My DH's mom has been incessantly calling us trying to find out! I made them do an u/s yesterday because I was worried even though my RE said it doesn't mean anything is wrong with the babies. They were active and kicking away with healthy heartbeats and all. I love seeing them on the u/s...it's just so cool! OH also, my friend just bought me the Snoogle preggo pillow and I love it. I'm probably not big enough to use it all the time just yet, but it's a relief when I'm just watching tv or relaxing and it really helps support my back!
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW! I love this question, I can use all the help I can get! I have learned so much about coping with stress from the support of all you ladies on this board...I'm thankful for this above all! Everyone just supports eachother and remains positive despite what we all have gone through, it's truely amazing! I had a long drive home a few days ago (from the baby shower I hosted) and I listened to a bunch of "The Beat Infertility" podcasts...one on Parenting after Infertility and another on AMA Pregnancy and Post-Partum Depression. All were very helpful and I'd recommend if you're feeling stressed about anything related to pregnancy and infertility. Also, I want to get back into yoga, so that's on my to-do list but I haven't felt well enough yet to start this. But I know this will help with the stress.

@srh18 wow triplets! awesome news and I'm sure terrifying at the same time! We were not expecting twins so the news to us was def an OMG moment and we started panicking about money (well still are!). Sometimes though it's good to step back and remember all you've been through and realize that some way somehow you'll make it work and these will be three lucky babies!
@LeFemmeViolette I love your "feel good" purse idea! Maybe have to steal that and no, it doesn't sound crazy at all. It's hard to function when you don't feel your best so keeping things close by that comfort you is the best idea. Good luck on Friday, be sure to let us know how it goes!

The spaces I've made it was from using the left arrow key on the right side of my keyboard. I can't figure out how to copy paste and make screen names blue.
Since there is conversation about lovely symptoms. I'm kind of embarrassed to say this but I indulged in a burger and onion rings yesterday at lunch and regretted it less than an hour latter. Upset stomach and some diahreeaha after. I had some ginger ale and some bread and plain foods. It seemed okay, had a little chicken and rice for dinner feeling better. Then I made the mistake of eating some cottage cheese and grapes with my night time estrace. Tummy hurt a bit, but not cramps. This morning things are mostly normal, just a bit of gurgly tummy after I ate breakfast.
I'm hoping this is just my body's way of telling me not to eat crap, which I know I shouldn't do but it just seemed so delicious at the time. I am trying to convince myself it's just that and not any sort of food poisoning. I know rationally that my I'd have much more extreme symptoms and I'd still have them all now. Right. Pregnancy has made me much more paranoid. I haven't had morning sickness but have had indigestion and digestive issues that change from day to day. This is normal wacky prego stuff right? It took us so long to get pregnant I feel guilty for eating a not healthy lunch.
@Gatorgirl2009 I am struggling with a headache as I type this. I've had several over the past 3 weeks. Does Tylenol help for you?
Update: we got the call from Maternal Fetal Medicine this afternoon with results from the MaternitT21 test. All genetics came back normal/low-risk, and we found out we're having a girl! I'm so excited!!
we had our follow up ultrasound today at 8 weeks and everything looks great! I love that it looks like a little baby now! We officially graduate from the RE! I'll see my OB in 2 weeks!
*Hey ladies, I wish this forum had a better mobile app! It is so hard to respond and see notifications sometimes. argh!
@”Polythene Pam” I am so glad that the Unisom is helping you with insomnia! I am thinking of trying this because I am not sleeping well. Do you feel groggy from it the next day? Going for walks is such a great idea for relieving stress.
@”vintage girl” I am sorry about your Mom and her lack of compassion during this exciting time. Having the buffer of her living several hours sounds like the most favorable option. I hope her sensitivity comes around soon for you.
@gatorgirl2009 yay for the countdown to stopping PIO shots! Taking the dogs for a walk is so great. We have been pretty bad about it the last few weeks and I feel really guilty. DH has been out of town for work more, and I am struggling to manage motivating myself to walk 3 big dogs while I’m so tired. I think we will definitely take them to the park this weekend though.
@srh18 OMG TRIPLETS!!!! Congrats girl!!!!!! Wow that is exciting news!!! I would have been a crying nervous wreck in the 5 minutes before they told me anything during the scan…that’s scary! So glad everything is great!
@familygrl86 I don’t think you’re crazy at all for welcoming the nausea! I was the same, and still am to an extent. You want the reassurance of pregnancy by having symptoms, even if they suck! It does get exhausting after a while though. I threw up in the car the other day and there was no warning…that was not fun.
@lefemmeviolette I am so excited and anxious to hear about your ultrasound on Friday!!! I love your idea for a “feel-better” box! I need to do that. I just have a random open bag of saltine crackers in my purse, and there are crumbs everywhere and I don’t even care.
@shytonia welcome to the board!
@Emilye13 yay for making it FB official!!! I am fixing to do that after our appointment on Friday. I was going to wait until 12 weeks, but my MIL is on the verge of spilling the beans to everyone, and I would like to be the person to share the news.

6 weeks, 5 days. So... like November 21? We haven't heard an exact date yet.
2. Which oh-so-lovely pregnancy symptoms are you having?
Super tired all the time, weird dreams, my boobs seemed to grow overnight

3. When is your next appointment?
Soon, I hope. We are going to a high-risk OB/perinatologist next week on my RE's recommendation because the sonographer found FOUR BABIES at our appointment yesterday. Quadruplets. All are growing well and we saw four heartbeats.
4. Anything else you'd like to share?
We're currently battling a very uninformed decision making process of whether to "reduce" the number of fetuses or not. It seems counter-intuitive to lose any of them since we've been wanting and trying for a baby for so long now. But at the same time, we want each one to be as healthy as possible. I'm hoping the high-risk OB can give us some expert advice. If any of you have any insight, please let me know!
QOTW: The first trimester seems to be a bit stressful for most of us. What methods have you found to help deal with and manage your stress levels? *I feel like we may all have tips that others could utilize so I’m excited for this QOTW!
But I refuse to let my past experiences take away the excited and joy my DH and I have for this blessing to be pregnant again!
@megmralph that's amazing news! Congrats!! Xoxo and what a tough decision to have to make. I'm hopeful the drs can point you guys in the right direction!
@Gatorgirl2009 love the 8 week picture! So cute, thank you for sharing!
@lefemmeviolette I had this early on (4 weeks) and it even turned red but I called and they weren't concerned as the red was a small enough amount. I'm at 9 weeks and just had a bit more brown but I also just stopped progesterone so I'm just taking it easier today but they said brown is ok.
