purplestars if you see this, I'm 100% in your shoes with the potty training too. In my opinion, I would wait until returning from your trip. Public restrooms and PTing just intimidate me. I'm sure if your like me the goal is to be potty trained before the baby gets here. That still gives you plenty of time.
Thank you for confirming my thoughts. DH had me doubting myself but there's really no rush yet to potty train. I think I will definitely wait til we are back from Disney. Yes, I'm with you all determined to get her out of diapers by October!
For all of you working on transitioning to the toddler bed...transitioning DD to her toddler bed was the best decision ever for us and was no big deal. I was seriously near tears when she started climbing out of her crib. The first night was a little rough but after that was smooth sailing. Now, when she wakes up in the morning she plays with her toys in her room rather than screaming because she wants out of her crib. I know all kids are different but she's has yet to leave her room when she wakes up. She still waits for one of us to come get her which I think is hilarious since she knows how to open doors. We are visiting family right now and DD has been sleeping in a queen bed all on her own in a guest room. It's been pretty amazing. Honestly, taking away DDs pacifier was more terrible than switching her bed lol

1st was a little traumatic. My DH had Just joined the army and was at basic training when I gave birth. My goal was to do the best I could naturally but if I needed the epidural then so be it. I had my mother, mother in law, and grand mother in law staring at me during every contraction so I caved and got the epidural at 8cm dialated. It worked too good and I could not feel anything. I pushed good though and he decended really fast ending up with a big bruise on his head. This plus needing to have meconium suctioned made him have a scary blood sugar drop and jaundice.
#2 was in Germany and awesome! I had my DH with me and was able to have the pain med free birth I wanted with number 1 even though I was induced. Water broke at 8am with a finger tip dialated and baby was born before noon!
What symptoms are you having? How are you feeling? How does it compare to your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? not much as far as symptoms go. I cannot handle opening up a soaked diaper or wiping up poo... But once I dry heave a few times it passes. Lots of tiredness, but again I think that's more due to my decreased caffeine intake than anyrhing else. I think the weird dreams are starting... woke up from a strange one this morning ready to be angry with my partner for the day.. haha! This pregnancy is cake so far compared to the constant sickness with my DD previously.

GTKY: What did your baby/babies weigh at birth? How did you feel about your previous birth experience? my dd was born at 8 lbs 5.8oz. I felt ok with it at first and was then a bit traumatized with having her taken from me less than 24 hours later to be admitted into the NICU for respiratory distress. I labored for a total of 36 hours. At 20 hours of INTENSE, EXCRUCIATING contractions I was still I only at 2cm... so they gave me pitocin. At 24 hours they they gave me an epidural. At 36 hours I started pushing and that only took about 35 min. They believe she inhaled meconium being stalled for so long and then delivering quickly during the pushing...causing her to get pneumonia. I was discharged less than 24 hours later so I could be with her since they had to transfer her to a hospital with a NICU. I never got any rest and time to just be with her. Even in the NICU the nurses weren't very encouraging for me to have skin to skin with her or to take her out of the isolate tank at all. I guess it would've been just such a hassle for them if I did. They started her on formula without even consulting me first which created supply issues for me and resulted in me having to combo feed rather than being able to ebf, as I had intended. I didn't know then like I do now to have insisted upon holding her out of the tank. And just seeing her there in the NICU poked all over and all the tests she had to endure (an LP being one of them). I still deal with a lot of anxiety over her being taken from me in some way and just trying to keep anything like that from ever happening to her again...so I'm like a helicopter parent for sure.
What symptoms are you having? How are you feeling? How does it compare to your previous pregnancy/pregnancies? I had a really rough past few weeks and although I'm still having not such a fun time , it's getting slightly better. With both my DDs I was throwing up constantly which I think I prefer over this constant nauseated feeling. I always felt better after I threw up. This time around there is no feelin better at all.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I feel like such a homebody. I don't even want to get dressed and go browse my favorite place, Target. That is when you know things are pretty off.
GTKY: What did your baby/babies weigh at birth? How did you feel about your previous birth experience? DD1 was 6lbs 1oz and 4 days late. I did have growth scans with her since I was measuring small, but she was fine. Just a peanut. DD2 was 6lbs 10oz and I was induced with her 2 weeks early due to her measuring "assymetrical". She was fine, has a big head, but was perfect. Because of the growth scans for them, I will be monitored with growth scans this time around too.
