We are planning on announcing to everyone else after we tell our extended family at Easter. Both our parents and sisters know and we told them after my confirmation appointment at 6w5d. I've since told my best friend and her parents and sister since they are just like family to me. We don't plan on announcing though to everyone else until after Easter since I'll be 13w6d on the day itself.... but I am loving the Easter ideas on this post! I have been searching Pinterest & Etsy for some ideas as well.

So I'm thinking of incorporating it somehow for our extended family.
We likely won't announce on social media for a good bit, but we have finally told all of the family. I took a video of DD and we sent it to anyone who we knew we wouldn't be seeing soon.
Me: DD....what kind of belly do you have? DD: Ummmmmmmmmmmm a POOPY one! (it was a toss up, sometimes she tells me about a Buddha belly) Me: A poopy one? And what kind of belly does Daddy have? DD: A BEER one! Me: And what kind of belly does Mommy have? DD: Ummmmmm a BABY one! Me: A baby one? Are you going to be a big sister? DD: YEAHHHHH!!!!
For the ones in person, we put DD in a Big Sister shirt. Some caught on quicker than others. haha

We bought a shirt that says "worlds greatest brother". We plan on having him wear it out to eat Friday night with some close friends and then for his birthday party on Saturday with close family and other friends there. Both times we will ask if they want to see the ultrasound pic and when they say "of course!" We will hand it to them and let them discover the twins on their own. We haven't really talked about how we will announce it on social media. We don't plan on announcing it until after our next ultrasound in 3 weeks. We want to make sure everything is still ok with our nuggets before we share. If it were a singleton we may have shared sooner, but we are a bit more cautious now.
This Big Brother book was in a bin of old books my mom got from the school she teaches at and I just couldn't help myself. And only a few people caught on that I specifically chose Where the Wild Things Are for my older son. The original idea was for them to be reading the books but in those pics you either couldn't see the title of the books or you couldn't see their faces. This one was a last minute pic. I posted it with "Family of 5 coming October 2017"
We're waiting until April 25th (our anniversary) to announce. My husband found a onesie that he ordered online that says "some things are worth the wait." We thought it was perfect because we waited just around two years for this little nugget. We are so excited! Here's a picture of the onesie (not the best quality pic).
I found these Easter Eggs on Etsy and think we are going to do the reveal with our parents this way. Probably film it and do a mash up video that we post to FB.
I wanted to do an Easter themed photo announcement with our next scan pictures placed in a nest of Easter eggs that my daughter would have been holding and our announcement would read something like "another hatching is joining our nest. October 2017."
But then it worked out that all of my partner's siblings were able to make it to my daughter's birthday party last week and he wanted to do an in person announcement for his family so we saved it for the end of the party. We thanked everyone "for helping to make our baby's day so special - especially since this will be her last birthday as our only child." (Waited for looks of shock). Haha! Later that night, I uploaded the only scan picture we currently have as an announcement for everybody else, including the few family members that left the party early.
Posted this as our announcement on Facebook today and said "B is excited to share our big news! Baby D #2 arriving October 2017!" Nice to finally have that completely out in the world now! Our close friends and family have known since 8 weeks. ❤️
I was really sick at first so I told my mom early, we are really close. We told my dad on his birthday with a kids baseball/softball glove (my dad still coaches softball, has since I played t-ball) and we got custom m&ms made. We flew out to visit my in-laws a few days later and gave them m&ms as well. We gave my sil a cup that said "only the sisters get promoted to aunt" and her daughter one that said "only the best nieces get promoted to cousin" as this will be the first cousin. A few days later we announced on social media (after calling the grandparents) the shoes are from our wedding and we are pretty big gamers.
We took some photos for our announcement today, and I am so excited with how they turned out! Will probably share them on social media later this week. I hate editing DD's cute face out, but, stranger danger. Sorry if they are HUGE.
We announced today. I threw something together this weekend and actually ended up loving it. At first I just took a cute pic of DD in her Big Sis shirt and DH goes, "it's cute!....but what about some props?" To which he got an eye roll from me but my brain started churning. I took a series of photos of her "taking care" of one of her baby dolls...bottle feeding, changing diaper, pushing in stroller, etc... and it's says, "Big Sister in training, promotion effective October 2017." I love it. I'm really tempted to post it here but I'm still like 60% stranger danger 40% attention whore.

second we sent DS downstairs wearing a shirt that said Big Brother
Jason, it took forever for someone to notice and we all had a good
laugh. For the third I blew an egg until it was hollow and put a note
inside saying "baby S #3 due in October" and gave it to the Grandmas for
Easter. I am just stuck for a family announcement this time!

Thanks, I totally can't take credit for it because I saw it on pinterist, but I thought it was cute too! DS has tons of jedi stuff and my oldest DD can do Princess Leia buns pretty easy, now I'm debating on what hat to get the younger DD, Yoda, R2D2 or another character

We announced tonight. It was opening night of my school's musical, "Disaster," and I'm conducting the pit orchestra. The drama teacher brought me down onstage after the curtain calls and gave me a gift, which was the little "Disaster" onesie. The students went absolutely nuts, which was hilarious. We posted this picture on Facebook after the craziness died down.
I posted a pic of my US on April first and I have refused to answer anyone who's asked if it's a joke in the comments. So I guess I haven't officially announced yet because a lot of people are still confused.
