Question about these suppositories, I have been using them since he day after my transfer. Yesterday I got a BFP which is very exciting but I cant help but be nervous because I'm constantly spotting. I have to change a pantyliner 3-4 times a day. I keep reading that the spotting is normal on endometrrin and the RE said as long as it's not bright Red it's ok but It's freaking me out! I'm wondering if I shokld ask them to switch me to the shots. I don't know if I can handle this until I'm 12 weeks. Has anyone made this switch before and/or Does anyone know if the shots have the same side effects?

Re: Endometrin suppositories

  • I have not made the switch or onownabout the side effects of PIO but I can tell you I've been on endometrium since my retrieval and I've also had lots of spottting. I'll get an occasional day without it but it's rare. I just had my first ultrasound and my re looked and said it's not coming from the uturus so baby is fine. I was also told the same thing, unless it's bright red and flow not to worry. Sorry you are dealing with this too! And congratulations on your bfp!

  • Hi! I also had spotting on endometrin after bfp, so my RE switched me to crinone suppositories and now the spotting is gone. The crinone also has less discharge compared to the endometrin. The only side effect is the crinone makes me much more tired, but sooooo worth it to put a stop the spotting, which really freaked me out (I have a history of luteal phase defect). Good luck!
