The phantom baby cries always get me in the shower!
Omg you guys . I mentioned earlier my In laws are here. Well after lunch my MIL started feeling sick and has the full on stomach flu. Like uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. They are quarantined in the basement (we have 2 bedrooms and a living room down there). I sent DH out for all new cleaning supplies. But my poor toddlers keep begging to go play with grandma and grandpa and it sucks keeping them away . But we all cannot get this stomach bug. If I get it as bad as her I'll end up in the hospital. Ugh such bad timing!!! I feel so bad for them. No way they can make it 3 hours home until she's better so they are kind of stuck.
Went to find a few neutral outfits, gave up and just pulled out some of each. I can't believe my kids fitnin these!!! Makes it so much more real looking at teeny clothes.
Pretty sure I was just hearing phantom baby cries. I am babysitting but the baby is sleeping. The TV is on and I was washing bottles and I swear I heard her crying. But she wasn't. Is this a thing that happens or am I just weird?
Totally a thing! I hear them in the shower, while running water in the sink, and sometimes I wake up at night thinking I heard DS. Nope...
I met with my sister in law for coffee and pastries yesterday morning. She's planning my baby shower. I'm so excited it's going to be unicorn themed. I found a pretty maxi dress at motherhood maternity yesterday that I'm going to wear for my shower. Dinner at melting pot last night was so good! The hubs had a dozen red roses with pink lillies waiting at the table for me. I can't believe we got married a year ago today and now our daughter will be here in a few months. Crazy the way life works out! Happy Sunday ladies.
@JessyKV I am SO sorry! I swear every time we all get together as a family (moreso over the holidays) someone always brings in a stomach bug/strep/influenza! Fingers crossed everyone avoids it.
Well, we got some amazing Palestinian food last night, but then dd threw up in her crib this morning so i got to see it again in partially digested form. She's pretty subdued today but hasn't vomited again, so I'm hoping she just managed to gag herself somehow or something.
My in laws left this morning. MIL was super weak but not throwing up so they chanced the 3 hour drive home. FIL says he wiped everything down in the basement but I'm currently contacting cleaning companies to see if they will deep clean our house this week since the stomach flu can live for 2 weeks on surface. Although I guess since we have all been exposed maybe it doesn't matter. So far none of us have symptoms thank fully but I'm super anxious about it.
Now I have to figure out other plans for someone to watch the kids tomorrow so I can go to my dentist apt over an hour away. I would cancel but I already had to before and this is a follow up from my abscess teeth and surgery I had last summer and I cleaning and I want to make sure every thing is healthy especially being pregnant. So stressed!!
@JessyKV Do you think it could be food poisoning? Either way I hope she gets better and no one else gets it!
We painted the nursery yesterday and I am SO SORE today. I walk quite a bit, but have toned down working out since becoming pregnant and it definitely shows!!! I am super happy with the color though so far.
@MKRLTX. Could be but she subbed 3 days last week (retired teacher) and she saw our nephew Thursday and he had the tummy bug. Our BIL and SIL also came down with it after that.
She also had a colonoscopy Thursday so we were worried it was a preferated colon or something. I think that made the tummy bug worse for her.
We all went to lunch together and her stomach was already gurgly then and she didn't eat so I don't think it was food poisoning but could be.
Its so hard to say what it is! She didn't have a fever but definitely had the chills but that's normal with food poisoning too.
I just had the unfortunate realization that I have to go back to work tomorrow. I hate my job. I thought a position change would help, but I think I am just so burnt out in education, and I don't know what to do with myself anymore.
It's my favorite race. It's huge! About 30,000 runners. Just really fun, entertaining, and cool to see all the costumes people come up with.
The end of this race always kicks my butt. The last three miles take you on two on ramps and an overpass. For a flat Florida runner that's a lot. But I took it easy and was able to enjoy running through Epcot.
@motherofdragons I've done the princess half twice (the second time I did the glass slipper with the 10k the day before) and the end is brutal...it was easier the second time bc I knew it was coming! But that course is a bummer since it is SO MUCH HIGHWAY...highly recommend the Wine and Dine in November if you've never done it, it includes animal kingdom, Hollywood studios, and epcot, so there's way more to see and it's a lot more entertaining. I did it when it was a night race but i think they switched to mornings a year or two ago.
@motherofdragons, it went really well!! Friday it was 75 degrees out and sunny. Saturday morning, for the race, it was a windchill of 18 degrees and 20+mph winds. Plus now. BRUTAL. I was mad because I was off my PR by 2 minutes, but I think with the weather, not too shabby!
Glad to hear yours went well too!! Pregnant and a half?! You're my hero!
I had a baby shower for a cousin yesterday morning, so DH golfed all day with my dad and brothers. Then we had my best friend's 30th birthday party until late last night. It was pretty over the top (party bus, private room at a huge bar, tons of booze), but we made it to the end! Then after party with a box of Girl Scout cookies as a nice little night cap at home. I survived!
@delujm0 I did Wine and Dine for the first time this past year. I really liked it and the fact they also had the gospel choir (my absolute favorite) made it a top Disney race for me.
I have to agree about the highway stretches for Princess. It's not so bad early on but miles 7-11 tend to suck in halfs anyway, it makes it almost unbearable. Throw in those damn inclines and I definitely heard a lot of dirty princess mouths today.
The store is all out of my favorite ice cream! im sure DH would have gone to another store but I settled for a different flavor. Just had to whine about it.
Has anyone ever been so constipated that they vomited? I just can't seem to get my digestive track under control. My stomach seems to allow food to sit untouched for 6+ hours. Just when I felt things were going better I feel like I'm right back to first trimester again. Please help.
